Here's the results of my second try. This was on a level 35 character, and the roll was in the 30-34 range:
Devastation: Acc/Dam/Rech
Expedient Reinforcement: Resist Bonus Aura for Pets.
Scirocco's Dervish: Chance for lethal damage
Devastation: Chance to hold
Sovereign Right: Aura 10% Resistance (All but Psionic) buff for Pets
Looks like a much better haul this time around (Hold proc is being stored, since I always need those).
I'm rather surprised that the crafted Expedient Reinforcement is selling for less than the uncrafted. That seems rather backward.
I had forgotten the silly tendency for people to go after primarily the multiples of 5 instead of any of the odd level enhancers, despite the enhancement differences being so miniscule.
Even sillier is that I did actually forget that trend, considering I actually have a fairly young personal super group on one of my off servers where there will be characters level locked at 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 specifically for doing random rolls to sell and to equip alts. I actually created this group back before GR, when I started getting into random merit and ticket rolls. Guess it is time to consider leveling up there again soon. -
I'll keep that in mind. However, it would be quite the trick for the character in question to pull off a level 50 roll, as he is only level 41.
Also, seeing how the merit spending rate is heavily throttled, by the time he was able to do level 50 rolls, he would have so many merits racked up, it would take a long time to spend them anyway.
I think though, the next time I try, I will give the 30-34 range a shot. I seem to recall back when I started experimenting with AE ticket random rolls, that proved to be much more lucrative than the 35-39 range. Hopefully, A-Merits will be the same way.
And I think that for my other character who has some A-Merits racked up, he will go ahead and for now become the Stealth vendor for some of my others instead of trying to get it via the rolling lotto, since the one I am focusing on lately would like to have his stealth before tonight's session. -
After reading up on the advice given here about how to spend Alignment Merits, I went with the general consensus that it is most profitable to do the random roll in the 35-39 range, then craft and sell what you don't need in order to buy on the market what you do need (and have plenty of loot left over.
The results for the first roll?
Glimpse of the Abyss: Chance for Psionic Damage (Recipe).
Trap of the Hunter: Chance for Lethal damage (Recipe).
Aegis: +Psionic and Mez Resist (Recipe).
Sovereign Right: Acc/Dam/End (Recipe).
Mako's Bite: Dam/Rech (Recipe).
All in all, it was pure crapola and largely a waste of a merit. Taking the value of the rare salvage needed for crafting, the only item there moderately worth crafting and listing is the Aegis, which would net roughly 10 million (sells for around 15 million, and fees and salvage value eats 5 million of that.)
Over all, I think I would have been better off just purchasing whatever it was I wanted in the first place for a single merit (Stealths are mostly what I am after, plus a few other odds and ends here and there).
Or perhaps 35-39 is actually not such a good range after all. Perhaps 30-34 would be better? -

Quote:If it's any consolation, my fresh new Archery/Pain Corruptor (currently level 22 and no Fitness Pool in anticipation of inherent fitness), is having endurance issues as well.I guess its the way I play. No downtime, spam attacks, toggles up all the time. I use End Reds (after acc of course) when slots allow and only until set bonuses come into play. Stamina does seem to help.
And his attacks are all well frankenslotted for Accuracy, Damage, and Endurance reduction.
Here's his slotting so far (First character of mine to experiment with frankenslotting starting at level 12):
Snap Shot
Volley Fire: ACC/DMG(24)
Volley Fire: DMG/END(15)
Tempest: DMG/END(16)
Maelstrom's Fury: DMG/END(24)
Fistful of Arrows
Air Burst: ACC/DMG(25)
Air Burst: DMG/END(16)
Air Burst: DMG/RCH(14)
Detonation: DMG/END(20)
Aimed Shot
Decimation: ACC/DMG(25)
Volley Fire: DMG/END(15)
Tempest: ACC/DMG(18)
Maelstrom's Fury: DMG/END(22)
Blazing Arrow
Decimation: ACC/DMG(25)
Volley Fire: DMG/END(15)
Tempest: DMG/END(15)
Salvo: DMG/END/RCH(16)
Maelstrom's Fury: DMG/END(24)
Aim: RCH(15)x3
Nullify Pain
Triage: HEA/END(14)
Regenerative Tissue: HEA/END(15)
Harmonized Healing: HEA/END(21)
Soothe
Triage: HEA/END(14)
Regenerative Tissue: HEA/END(15)
Enforced Morale: END(20)x1
Soothing Aura
HEA(20)
END(20)
Brawl: Kinetic Combat - Chance for KD
Air Superiority
Pulverizing Fisticuffs: ACC/DMG(25)
Bonesnap: DMG/END(16)
Fly: Winter's Gift - Slow Resistance(11)
Combat Jumping: Karma: Knockback Protection(12)
Assault: END(20)
I know Assault is a big endurance hog, but I just got that and was already having stamina problems beforehand. I thought that with my frankenslotting, lack of stamina would not be a major problem, but apparently I was wrong.
Hopefully, upgrading everything that is under 24 with 30s when I hit 27 will help here. -
Yes. You can have both on at the same time.

And one more has been added to my stable of characters created because of a cool sounding name I thought of (named after a brand of sports car my dad had back in the late 60s/early 70s.)
Introducing, Austin-Healey, who is an Archery/Pain Domination Corruptor currently helping out the Resistance in Praetoria (a bit of a side trip on his journey from his home dimension to Primal Earth).

Eagle's Claw is the MA tier 9, you know, the heavy hitter. That is one you would want recharging fast.
-
Remember, you don't have enough global recharge until your attack chain is (and this is coming from my MA Scrappers...for other ATs and their attacks, replace appropriately) Eagle's Claw, Eagle's Claw, Eagle's Claw, Eagle's Claw.

My Dark Servant on my Dark/Dark Defender (who happens to be a mutant lobster) is Sigmund (as in the Sea Monster).
My Fire/Dark Corruptor, who is part of a Fire/Dark Duo has Thing 1 and her partner has Thing 2 (actually, the names depend on who gets theirs summoned first).
My Ice/Rad Controller has Frosty the Snowpwn
If I ever get around to playing my Earth/Thermal Controller on one of my off servers, his pet will be Pwnhenge.
My Plants/Energy Dominator calls his Fortunata pet Kandi.
Black-Spy took the Clockwork non-combat pet and called it Jaffee.
And when my Warshade has her Extracted Essences out, they are Slurp and Blurp. -
I always put a Kinetic Combat: Chance to Knockdown in Brawl. That turns Brawl into a frequent Air Superiority (proc goes off often enough) without the -Fly.
And I do not put any other slots in it. Usually by the time I get around to getting K-Combat, I have plenty of accuracy bonuses going from sets or from other ACC boosts. And until I do get that K-Combat, Brawl always gets an accuracy. -
I had that happen on Virtue several months ago. What happened was, Atlas Park "crashed", which essentially trapped all characters logged in at the time in that particular instance of Atlas, while a second instant was created.
Everyone who was in the first instance was locked there until the server reset early the next morning.
Can you log in another character? If so, when you go to the zone the trapped character is in, does it show one locked instance and one new instance?
If so, then that is where the problem lies. -
Most things are 20 million or more? Not in my experience. I typically see most things running anywhere from 1.5 to around 5 million. Sure, there are some items that go for a lot more (like the respec recipe I got last night that netted me an instant 200 million), but those high ticket items are the exceptions. Across a lot of characters, I have a lot of things that have been siting unsold at 2 million or much less (some between a half million and 1 million).
So, yeah. 2 billion is more than enough, since it is silly to try to get everything your character would ever need instantly instead of buying as you go (like 3 levels in advance). -
Quote:The sets Shadow Maul can take are:To my knowledge Shadow Maul is an AOE attack and thus can only take AOE sets.
PBAOE
To Hit Debuff
Accurate To Hit Debuff
Neener Sets (aka Taunt), but only for Tankers and Brutes.
If you want a power that can take Ghost Widow's Embrace, you are limited to:
Arctic Mastery
Earth Mastery
Pyre Mastery
None of the Patron pools for Tankers have a hold power (and neither does Energy Mastery). -
That is an unfounded fear. I have taken plenty of teams through on characters that already had the rewards, and never got a complaint about anyone not getting their stuff.
Also, if you have everything, you can still select a medium inspiration (provided you have room in your tray) -
Put together the team, run the mission, defeat Snaptooth 3 times to complete the mission, collect reward. And if you trust your team, after everyone enters, give someone else the star, and swap to a character that doesn't have the missions if you want them to get the stuff.

Last night in Atlas Park, I overheard a civilian make a comment about my character, something to the effect of:
"I heard that Therm O'Dynamic ERROR: EVENT TEXT NOT FOUND", or something to that effect.
So I think Nemesis is implementing a plot to replace the civilians with Nemesis Automatons. That is why they have been missing. They have been kidnapped and their replacements are slowly being released back into the wild. -

Get a friend to create a web comic that features that group's name. Then you should be able to petition for a genericing and rename because it suddenly infringes on someone else's imaginary property. Why not? It works for the "big boys". (evil grin)

Quote:The going price of the afore-mentioned rare salvage that some of these take can be a major show stopper if you are crafting to resell. Like if a crafted recipe is selling for 1,000,000, but the rare bit of salvage it takes consistantly goes for 2,000,000 or more, then you would definitely be best off either vendoring the recipe or selling uncrafted on the market.Note: always check the going rate for both the recipe and the crafted IO enhancement. Usually, the crafted Set IO enhancement sell for way more than the Set recipe itself. This may be due to an expensive rare salvage requirement or just plain supply and demand. So price your item appropriately.
Also, once you get in the level range where you are getting level 40 or 45 generic IO recipes as drops, you may find them worth crafting and selling if you don't ned them yourself. The salvage for those is typically dirt cheap, and you can turn a hefty profit after crafting and market fees off them. Level 50 generics typically aren't worth the bother though, since they regularly sell for less than what the crafting fee itself is. -
Are you aware that you just repeated what was already posted in this same thread 12 hours earlier?

I have mine slotted with 2 Essence Of Curares (ACC/HOLD, ACC/RCH), 2 Lockdowns (ACC/HOLD, ACC/RCH), 1 Theft of Essence (ACC/HEAL), and 1 Touch of the Nictus (ACC/HEAL).
That has made the accuracy of all his attacks 2.00, his hold duration 16.10 seconds, healing up to 307.27, and his recharge down to 2m 44s.
All in all, I think this is a decent frankenslot configuration for him, plus I get a couple small but bonuses out of it (one of which is even useful). -
Is it even possible to get a Stealth IO as a normal random drop? I thought that since it used to be a random task force only drop that the only way to get one now was via merits or tickets (either direct purchase or random roll).
