I logged in today to find out I cannot login to one of my characters on the CoV side.

When I click on my mastermind it gives me an error saying that this feature is only available to players who have purchased City of Heroes Going Rogue.

Is this a bug? I do not own going rogue and I just created this villain a week or so ago.

I'd really like to level this toon up.

Edit: I had just re-activated my account after several years of not playing and seemed to have chosen Demon Summoning, apparently that is a Going Rogue addition that was on some kind of preview?

Correct, Demon Summoning is only available to players who have purchased Going Rogue. However, Going Rogue content was made available (in a limited capacity) to accounts during reactivation weekend. That's over now, so you need GR in order to access any GR content again.

Yes, demon-summoning as an AT for masterminds is only available after you purchase Going Rogue. It was opened up for everybody on this last free reactivation weekend. So unless you purchase the expansion, the character is off-limits to you now.

This will also be true of characters with Electric Control, Dual Pistols, or Kinetic Melee.

One the plus side, you can get the complete edition for $39.99 or less, which includes Going Rogue, the GR Item Pack, and the next month's sub. So in the end it's $25 tops afte the play time.

Nitpick: Mastermind is the AT. Demon Summoning is the power set.

Not to mention that it comes with a couple costume sets that aren't in the "just the expansion" GR pack, and just the expansion costs $30. Which means you're effectively paying about $5 less for more content if you buy the complete pack.

I did mention the costumes - the GR item pack (which is a seperate $7 charge if you get the plain expansion and not the CE version).

And getting just the expansion also does not get you the month of subscription time either.
