  1. When I attempt to log into my Street Justice character I get an error message saying I haven't paid for it and offering to take me to the store.

Obviously, I have in order to even have the character. This bug appeared today after the patch, and I have submitted a petition. I suggest everyone check their StJ characters to be sure you can get in.

This. I shut it down as soon as I get the login screen. It doesn't release resources and will eventually crash my system.

The game itself also has a memory leak and has for me for over five years, even after wiping the hard drive and reinstalling, and after getting a completely new computer.

Once I hit 1.5g or so usage the game crashes.

    THIS I would buy!
  4. That was fun, can't wait to do it again!
  5. Issue: Darrin Wade's Lair in SSA5 is somewhat underwhelming.

Suggestion: Hold a contest on the Test server to redesign the lair.

How: Provide the map (the lair portion of the mission map) and standard base design features via the base portal interface. Players create a 'base' of that map and design it, registering for the contest by their global names.

This could be highly promoted and a visible advertisement for the SSAs.
  6. Deleted - question answered on global channels.
  7. I trust you and support your decision. It seems well-reasoned, sound, and fair.

    Loot Filter?

I can't see the devs implementing something that makes afk pvp io farming any easier or more exploitative than it already is.

That's what a loot filter would be good for. Just saying....
  10. What side do you pick more than others?

I primarily play heroes. Even when I play villains and praetorians I tend toward the 'nicer' end of things. I'm excited about the alignment system as it allows me to make vigilantes and rogues, rather than full bore villains.

What play style do you prefer?

When I first started out I was a blaster at heart. Then I found that I really, really loved support. From there I branched into tanking, which for me was proactive support - if I can keep the team from being hurt in the first place it's all good. Then I started mixing it up with MMs and brutes. The only ATs I've tried that I just don't like are Kheldians and Stalkers. I can't get into the squid/lobster alien thing and stalking is so not me.

What power set(s) do you favor?

All of them save those that obscure my look. I'd love to try a stone tank, but that whole Granite-thing just turns me off. Fire auras give my eyes fits. Beyond that... I love them all. My favorites so far are Radiation (both blast and emission), Energy (blast), Invincibility, Street Justice, and Widows.

What zones do you like the most?

My favorite zones are those with their own stories: Dark Astoria (I adore the fog and ghosts), Croatoa, Striga, RWZ, and even the Hollows.

Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''?

Usually female. I have a few male toons, but that's because they're part of my ongoing story. For example one of them is the time-travelling son of my original heroine.

Female is a word of hatred? Not to me. I was in the military. Female was a term that kept us from being called 'girls'. Much more preferrable.

For the whole girl gamer thing I embrace it. I am a gamer. I am a woman. Get over it, world.

    Views on Role Playing?

I like RP. No, I don't ERP. Asking is a one-way ticket to gignore.

    Servers?

Pinnacle (original), Liberty (primary), Virtue (secondary), and now Exalted.

    <censored>!

HOs < IOs --- even moreso now.

Fair is fair, if one doesn't do it the other shouldn't either. I'm not asking that they never make changes or balance things, but I am asking for consistency. I don't want to replace the HOs in Mind Link only to find that, oops, that's going to change too.

Edit: Been there and done that with Energy Melee's and Regen's rounds of changes. I prefer changes to be over with so that I can make whatever adjustments necessary to a build and be done with it. I dislike having to do successive respecs.

Agreed. My main characterhas an HO build. She gets hammered on iTrials now because she's not IO'd. Before it wasn't a hindrance slotting for nostalgia's sake all of those HO's I earned back in the day on the old Hami raids.

Bring back the old HO values --- make them what they were before the nerf. They're really not worth it if you can slot IOs instead.

I spent some time playing with the pieces this afternoon after I bought all three tokens. I was sitting on seven, so it was a no-brainer as there was at least one piece of each token I would use.

My only real complaint is that there are no matching boot or glove options for the ice. The pretinting is screwy. To make a costume you need to find boots or gloves elsewhere, the ones from this set just do not match the ice.

And I want a waterfall cape without the ugly rock sticking out of my back. I tried, tried, tried but I could not make it work for me.

The wings are worth the token all on their own.

PS: If I hadn't been sitting on the tokens I wouldn't have paid money to get them to buy these. It wouldn't have been worth it to me. I'd have waited a month to pick up the wings+ token and foregone the rest.

  16. I like the head aura, phoenix wings, waterfall backpack, sword, and crystaline pieces.

I still haven't played a stone tank because I think Granite is ugly. These driveway gravel looking pieces don't appeal to me at all. Someone will like them I'm sure, but not me. If I wanted to look like that I'd play a stone tank. They seem too limited in use to me to be worth it.
  17. What I hate about iTrials? That they were designed to cater to speeders. Fast, fast, fast! Timers!

For some that's challenging and fun. For some of us it's annoying. The only iTrial I truly enjoy is UGT. The rest feel like a speed ITF on crack.

    Why not? I like it.

    I also use Exalted Events.
  19. I haven't done TPN yet so I'd like to do it. I like badges. That said, my evenings free are sporadic so I'm not picky about which trial. I do whatever is offered and am happy.

PS: My sig below was chosen from reading the TPN threads and thinking it quite funny (the sig, not the rock thing).
  20. I've run a lot of non-incarnate TFs in the last 7+ years. I even enjoy the boring ones that other people do not, because I simply enjoy playing and even 'boring' content is fun if it's faced pace and everyone is enjoying the company of the others on the team.

I've done Dr Q at least 11 times that I remember, probably more like 20. My favorite TF to repeat is the ITF.

The old Hamidon was fun. The new Hamidon not so much. The long, mind-numbing time spent gathering. Detailing what to do like it's rocket science. Don't screw up or you're ostracized. On some servers there invites are handled in secret because no one wants random newbs showing up and ruining others' reward or locking people out of the zone if they're DC'd.

I don't enjoy the CoP at all. If I wanted rocket science I'd have studied that in college. I want to relax and enjoy the game.

BAF and Lambada are fun enough that I've run them more than once. You have to do certain things, but not over the top.

I've done UGT once and it was fun as I enjoyed the company and loved the final fight. There were parts that I did consider over the top, but good grief I loved fighting the Avatar of Hamidon.

I've done MoM and it was almost fun --- the AOE pink stuff sucked. It doesn't help if server lag or computer lag doesn't render the stuff before it's already too late to get out of it, or that playing a melee there is like getting your teeth drilled because of it. Slow down the damage tics and it'd be fun.

Haven't done TPN yet, but have watched over my husband's shoulder as he did. I'll pass after I've gotten any badges associated with it. Being brained by a citizen with a rock on a level-shifted incarnate makes about as much sense and as much fun as having to 'pass the bill to find out what's in the bill'.

I haven't done or seen Keyes yet, no opinion there.

Now... I'm not one of the people who would buy Super Packs if they were one of several options for getting those parts. I just won't buy them. I find gambling mildly upsetting; I want to know what I am or am not buying.
This is how I feel. I won't buy something when I don't know what I'm getting. I don't enjoy gambling and when my husband I go to Atlantic City he gambles, I shop. My money usually lasts longer and I walk away happier.
  23. An epic roleplaying and story arc moment.

My SG coleader and I were running the Rikti War Zone story arcs on American Champ (SS/WP tank) and Operation Arc Light (Energy/Energy blaster) #1 of the Nuclear 50 (read Fusionette's info if you want to know what this is). During the last mission we both leveled to 50. At the end my blaster used her [Self Destruct] power to destroy the portal, ending the threat to Paragon City and her life. She had realized that the reason Vanguard had chosen them instead of more veteran heroes or a full scale assault was that he had the ability to get her to the portal and she had the ability to destroy it for once and for all.

Well, it was cool to us.
