    Basically this.

John McClane is a action hero because he doesn't dress up.

The Punisher is a super(anti)hero because he dresses up.

Obviously, there's more to PRESENTATION! than dressing up, but I think that's the core idea - being willing to even dress up is where PRESENTATION! starts.

And yes. PRESENTATION! must always be written like that.

Echnida just needs a hug, but Mangle is bugf*@# crazy) but everyone just seems to be hoping Flambeaux will go away.

That's because nobody wants Flambeaux on their side. And who can blame them? That girl is so dumb it's safer for Paragon City to have her as a Villain.

Anyway. 1.000.000.000 on the one with the blue hair.

Fusionette's a ditz, and I do love poking fun at her, but she usually pulls through at the end of the day and is a decent person overall.

Flambeaux... Sometimes I wonder how Flambeaux hasn't forgotten how breathing works and died of stupid.

Same here. That minotaur is nasty.

As for Trapdoor, use the same old tactic that beats any solo encounter in the game:

    1 Buy Luck x4.
    2 Buy Enrage x16.
    3 Eat them all.
    4 Win.

The other 5% they're TF contacts for missions that really don't involve them in any way, so they're just the figurehead saying "Go do this, it'd probably be bad if it isn't stopped". The SSAs are one of the few times we're really getting to see any kind of character development in game with them.
Well put. Faultline and Fusionette are ten times the characters any in the Freedom Phalanx are.

Edit: Exception would be Positron and to a lesser extent Numina thanks to the Mortimer Kal Strike Force. They get some fleshing out there. Still, not that much.

All this hyper-realistic texturing makes everything look so bad. This goes for things like the new Pocket D realistically crinkled jeans. I'm sorry, but they just look wierd in the context of CoH's already well established visual style.
  12. She's always been DB/SR, but I've levelled her twice to 50, once on EU and another when I made the jump to NA. So... sorta?
  13. I'm running a claws/SR brute. Just picked up Mu and between spamming ball lightning, cages, spin and shockwave? That's all I have to do. The only ST attacks I really have to use are followup for the +dam and Focus to nail enemies out of arm's reach. Maybe Slash on a boss here and there. It's bloody glorious. And SR/Mu would cover the elemental ninja theme pretty well, I think.

On the other hand Claws/Elec would be pretty boss too. Brute either way though. Spin on Brutes is just OMFG I DID HOW MUCH DAMAGE? AND IT RECHARGES IN OH LOOK IT ALREADY RECHARGED.
  14. It's working fine on my DB toon:

11 ticks and a final, harder, blow

Don't worry about not seeing it in the orange numbers spam, it often doesn't show up. You should be able to notice the hit in your enemies' health bars, though.

Of course does this also mean /Ice Armor Stalkers aren't possible? :/

Can't Ninjitsu Stalkers get Caltrops twice now that they can access Scrapper APPs?

    Toons are people too, Sam
  18. The Vial of Bees is pretty much mandatory. I mean, c'mon! BEES! Blackwand from Tarixus is another good pick (unless you already have the vet version). The Demon Box from Hardcase is another neat one. Oh, and the Goldbricker jetpack, because the raptor pack model is so overused.

    Uncommon: 50,000,000 - 55,000,000
    Rare: 100,000,000 - 110,000,000
    Very Rare: 400,000,000 - 500,000,000

I think this would be a fair assumption for the going rates if they were able to be sold.
While I most certainly wouldn't pay those rates, I agree that it's a reasonable guess.

Edit: As for what I'd actually pay:

    Common: 12-15 mil
Uncommon: Nada, zilch. These things are like dirt on a dirt farm.
    Rare: 75-85 mil
Very Rare: I haven't bothered to get any non-alpha VR powers, and am not planning to do so any time soon.

    Thoughts?
  22. On my scrapper I get to cap my HP, hit 60% S/L resists and gain 30% recovery on a 1:3 uptime. At a oh-so-heavy cost of a 60 end crash, which due to the +rec I don't even care about because I'm at almost full endurance when the crash hits.

All that with one power that uses only the default slot? Hell yeah!

This is wrong. Adding 14/27% resist to a softcapped toon is a MASSIVE jump in survivability. I'm talking about doubling the amount of damage you can handle. Using my DM/SD scrapper as an example:

((this is very simple math that illustrates the point. It's only mostly accurate))

Base: 45% def, 34% s/l resist, 2100 HP -> every 100 points of incoming damage are reduced to 100*0.05*0.66 = 3.3 actual damage. You can handle a total of 63,600ish s/l damage pointed your way.

Pop OwtS (with 1 level 40 Res IO): 45% def, 61% resists, 2360 hp -> every 100 points of incoming damage are reduced to 100*0.05*0.39 = 1.95 damage. You can handle 121,000 s/l damage pointed your way.

And that's not even factoring in the increased regeneration that comes with the +maxhp, which further benefits the OwtS numbers.

Seriously people. OwtS is awesome. Get it, love it, use it. But most importantly, use it early. If your health hit orange in 10 seconds flat, hitting OwtS isn't gonna save you. If you'd hit it before jumping that spawn, though? You wouldn't be about to faceplant.
