Quote:I remember a couple of years back, some of our beta characters ended up flagged as GM characters. Which was pretty fun^^ This one. The accounts themselves are flaged to allow certain dev abilities.
They can not grant their personal accounts (or anyone's account) crafted io's from their dev ones where they can create them at will. They can not auto lvl a toon for themselves though again it is possible to do that on their dev account etc.etc.
So I don't know about account-wide flags, but you can certainly set it on individual characters. -

Quote:I've been wishing for a Ranged/Defense AT forever. I like power-armour style characters, and there's no real way to represent that in game (short of ignoring the lack of armour). Sure, it could be "omg OP!" but really... we already have it playable in-game, just with a really specific concept behind it.So, here's something of thought experiment: Is it even possible to come up with a concept of a character that could work in this game who wields a gun of any kind whatsoever (pistol, rifle, shotgun, whatever), yet isn't tied to Arachnos and isn't designed to be weak defensively? What might that look like? How might it happen? Would just putting guns in the Epics of non-squishy ATs work, or would we need more?
If there was ever going to be added a new AT, that'd get my vote. -

Technically, I think the Council is our only genuine alien threat.

I think it's because the whole infinite dimensions theory doesn't make any dang sense in the first place. Giving it a little semblance of structure makes it easier to relate to.

That's to avoid breaking any characters that may still have missions from those contacts from before Freedom went live.

Quote:The surfer hair style has clipped with the top of your head since issue 4. I'm not holding my breath.Serious question, no snark intended whatsoever: have the devs ever fixed a clipping issue? Have they ever gone back over a costume part or set other than to fix the most egregious errors and bugs? I would like to think they do, but I can't recall a specific instance.

Quote:Well, that's because you're wrong.Right, simply put, I don't see Titan Weapons as a terribly stealthy set, doesn't really fit with the whole stalker idea (it's an AoE-centric set, Stalkers are meant to be, and are truly becoming with I22, the ST damage kings, queens, presidents, and really the entirity of the ST damage Senate, Parliament, etc.). I won't out and out say that it's a bad idea, just doesn't seem like it fits to me. Like they're taking a Fusion Hammer to get the square peg into the round hole. It'll be a much larger round hole at the end of it, and the square peg might not exist anymore afterwards...
How is Titan Weapons any less stealthy than strapping huge glowing lightbulbs to your hands? Or shielding yourself with crackling electricity? It's not. Guess what? YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SNEAK is not a requirement for a stalker character concept. Maybe you can cast silence and invisibility spells? Maybe you're a ghost? Maybe who friggin cares? Why is it suddenly impossible to imagine how super powers work?
As for the AoE-centricity, Stalkers already have several sets that focus more on AoE than single-target damage. -
Quote:Let's not start up that cettle of fish again, eh?Well it makes sense in an abstract sense. Stalkers are stealthy ST damage. Titan Weapons is a big brawling AOE-centric set. It doesn't match the Stalker idiom very well.
But in reality, pro-Stalker players already feel like their AT is shafted, and missing out on a melee powerset just adds insult to injury.
Short answer: Stalkers are not only (or even primarily, depending on set) stealthy ST damage. -
Quote:And they are extremely tight lipped about what they are working on!Castle is now the Senior Designer for ZeniMax Online. It's listed on his Facebook page.
But a Bethesda funded MMO eh? It's easy to think Elder Scrolls or, dare I say it, Fallout.
Or maybe something completely different! -

I have a weakness for the dark/regen combo. Whenever I try to make a dark/something character, I always rerolling /regen.
I think it's some sort of leftover trauma from when the game was first launched. My original character was a dark/dark scrapper. Dark Melee is cool, but Dark Armour was terrible. Meanwhile, a RL buddy was playing a /regen scrapper. So there was a healthy dose of set-envy involved.
I've never actually managed to get very far on dark/regen though. I don't know why. It just ruins every attempt I make at rolling a dark melee alt. -

It was first linked in the "Tomorrow Morning" thread:

Because I'm a nosy busybody, I also looked up Castle and BaB. Castle was recruited by a super secret government agency (along with the former Lord Recluse!). BaB went back to Cryptic
