I like traps. I like the FF Gen and stuff, but the one thing that I always loved was the poison gas trap. I love the way it makes people choke and vomit and gives some really nice debuffs. I keep hearing how bad it is though and it always scares me away from making traps.. I would rather roll a FF toon if the Poison gas really is that terrible.

Fastest can mean 3 things:

Fastest recharge times
Fastest Animation Recoil
Fastest Projectile from User to Enemy

So yes weatherby was right in saying define fastest. Fastest Animation recoil is Ice.

Why did they have to change it! I want them to make a dom with poison. I want an AoE hold effect that makes them puke.

ha ha! This is great! But you forgot something.. everytime you see someone draw their assault rifle... (or summon their pets)

Anyway.. whips would be AWESOME! Anyone who says they don't belong in a hero villain game (when they have Assualt Rifle and Archery... wtf?) has obviously never heard of a game called Castlevania and has no clue what the last name "Belmont" is.

I get what you are saying and I agree. When someone works my nerves in MMO's, I never ignore them.. because setting them on ignore will NOT stop them from ignoring me. The only thing worse than hearing a annoying little puke spew out jack-hole statements is not being able to hear it and hearing everyone else snicker about what you DIDN'T hear. That works my nerves even more...

So, yes I agree ignoring may be the default "go-to" in these type of situations... but it should NOT be the "end-all". I guess reporting would work.. but thats also faulty, as it would take quite some time to get results, and like Ximmy said... if this were real life and you said some jack-hole statements, then results are instant... a "three stooges"-esque quick slap to the face.. or a battering ram fist driven to the bridge of the nose. INSTANT results.. and because of these INSTANT results, people don't say these Jack-Holed statements in real life (well.. MOST people dont)

Well, unfortunately.. with the coming of ages and websites like 4chan... "stupid is cool now". Not that I am trying to be a nonconformist emo bot... but I will not conform to the stupidity movement that is sweeping the nation by storm. More and more people are now saying the most craziest stuff I have ever heard! Stuff that would make what was said in the original post look like something they would air on Nick jr.

I wanted to see something like this.. not exactly knives or cars (ridiculous!), but I wanted to see more power sets that are different from one another.. not just *Sticks arm(s) out and a random colored ink blot shoots out*, and the weapon sets are kind of meh as well.

I like the sound of Rat-tat-tat-tat from the AR, but all you see is the dude jiggling and some muzzle flash (and the brass it leaves behind, some people like it :/ ) Archery is ok I guess...

What about more different power sets that CAN be ranged damage but don't involve shooting something or throwing something.. like how about "insect swarms" or something like that (ok.. I'm not the best at coming up with this stuff, but thats why I'm not getting paid to do so )

Hey.. I've never played a stalker version of spines, but I am going to assume it is very AoE heavy. I HAVE however, played spines version of scrapper and and Elec Melee version of stalker. So here is my advice for an AoE/EA stalker:

Skip Stamina... you can save 3 powers slots by skipping this and also save a power pool as well. You have energy drain. 5 slot this with 3 recharge and 2 end mod's and it will be up for every fight. And once you IO out, it will be recharge faster than you are able to use the End (even if you tried!).

Also, if it is as AoE heavy as I think it is.. then skip Placate as well (CALM DOWN ALL YOU STALKER FASCISTS!!). I find on my elec/EA stalker, since I am always AoE'ing, whats the sense of going into hiding again? Sure I can placate and AS or Thunderstrike for extra damage.. but thats like having 20 gigs of RAM on your cpu.. sure its nice, but definately NOT needed.

ha ha.. people are saying RP'ers are causing lag! Wow, you guys give them too much credit! If only I had the power to cause server lag at my will.. I would greif you till you log, all day... everyday!

Lets see.. create new character... select AT and Origin.. RP'er, Pocket D....
Select primary power: Server Lag
Select Secondary Power: Map Serve.

I say you can tank ANYTHING! If my Elec/NRG Aura STALKER can tank Rommy in an ITF, then you can do whatever you want in this game

Is it possible to make an epic stalker that is able to psuedo tank with damage resist (like elec armor) instead of defense?

I find that any of the shows that want to show combat on a low budget (mostly history channel, lol) use mmo sounds. If you played LotRO, then you would also reconize the many variations of shouts and screams they use there.. the animal sounds from the wildlife in WoW is also very popular, so on and so forth.

ok, so this is very strange. When I load up other games, I get no lag. Everything is fine.. but when I load up CoH/CoV my ISP gets really bad, sending the "Sent" up to 300,000+ and the recieved up to and over 1,000,000.

I checked that maybe it was something thats wrong with my stuff. So I resetted, unplugged and replugged my modem, restarted my cpu... basically pretty much did everything on my end that I can think of. I also tested it out with other MMO's and they do not effect my connection at all..

It ONLY happens when I load into the game. Its VERY annoying because I get some pretty nasty rubberbanding in the game and it becomes pretty unplayable. I really like CoH/CoV and do not want to quit.. but I wont pay to not be able to play

Someone know what the hell if wrong with my gear?

PS: I did just did and ALWAYS do virus and malware scans. My pc is clean from that gunk, so thats not it.

ok, so ever since i15 went live (perhaps a little before or a little after) I have been experiencing some extreme rubberbanding issues. I log in at all time of the day, even at like 4 - 7 AM and still have this issue when barely anyone else is online. So I keep thinking that maybe its my connection, but my other games run smoothly and streaming internet videos are fine as well.

So is this a server problem, are any of you also suffering from this?

PS: I already tried the /sync. I tried spamming /sync and still nothing.

Also, just cause tanker version of it isn't god mode doesn't mean it will also suck for stalkers. Elec Melee is a good example.. it is good for brutes.. but it is omfg awesome for stalkers.

Its nothing at all. Just a bunch of letters, codes and junk said over some static to make it sound militant and organized. Just like in the old school grand theft auto games (part 1.. if you even remember it) when you stole a police car, the radio would be going off with a bunch of codes.

Those codes were bogus as my best friend is a cop and said it was just gibberish to make it sound professional.

Seriously, I seen some pretty jacked up CC.. but the majority of them are normally great. And when people complain that the females win all the time.. I dun know.. maybe its just me but I think they're just copping a plea.

Normally I see a bunch of male toons who just selected everything in a set. "I pick cyborg chest, gloves, legs and boots.. it matches so I look cool and I should win!" and then when the female wins for having a kick [censored] costume they cry "OMFG! females always win!"

Not to say that I've seen it happen where females would win cause of sex appeal (can't believe I just said that), but if the female winners just look awesome give them props.. don't cry like kids.

ok, so I got my SS/Shield up to around 37 and he is an outrageous end hog. I got stamina but that doesn't seem to help at all. I don't even have hasten, so I can already see the rage crash and the hasten crash making it even more of a pain in the [censored].

I normally tend not to IO my characters until I hit 50. I like to get to 50, then use a respec and spec the powers and slots I want for 50, then IO him all out in one swoop. So, without IO's, is there a way to make him not eat the entire blue bar before one fight even half over?

I would say always take stamina. A lot of guides are outdated, and back then the best thing a stalker could do was the Assassin Strike, then wait for hide, rinse & repeat. Now, any stalker who does that either hasn't evolved as a player, or just doesn't know any better. The only time you should NOT take stamina is when going for staminaless builds. An example would be Energy Aura, as it has Energy Drain.

So don't think of a stalker as a one hit coward anymore, we're more like sneak and obliterate.
