Since the stalker resist cap is 75%, and have the lowest HPs out of all the melee ATs, its probably not a good idea.
If you have sufficient team support, I'm sure you could take the alpha strike. As for tanking(holding aggro), I'm not sure.
Even heavily slotted the stalker resist sets all fall painfully short of the sort of damage soaking that the defense set do. If you want super resists and defense then WP or SR are your babies. You'll still die a lot, but those are the best for surviving alpha. Though WP will cost you a lot more infamy to get that way.
The set that comes closest to doing this is Dark Armor. DA is situationally the best PvE melee armor in the game.
I don't think you'll be doing much tanking on a Stalker, though. Come Going Rogue, you'll be able to tank with a Tanker instead.
P.S. Tanking with Brutes is just wrong. Yes, I'm old school. Every time a Brute herds, Statesman saves a Hero. And that's gross.

Is it possible to make an epic stalker that is able to psuedo tank with damage resist (like elec armor) instead of defense?
