CoV causing my internet to lag?!
I'd recommend starting with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.
Secondly, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.
Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
i get a lot of this lag too heres my hyjack report couldnt get the cohhelper to run right

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Sounds like your Java is woefully screwed up. Go to www.java.com and get it reinstalled. You *may* want to go to the Add/Remove Programs and deinstall *all* copies of Java and then go get installed again... that's what I've been doing for a while now. Well, ok, I haven't been doing it on your computer, I'll admit that, but the ones I work on at work and stuff.
As to your Hijack This log... You can use MSConfig to turn some things off, if you like... start, run, MSConfig. Uncheck what you don't need in the Startup and Services tab. In the Services tab, check ON the "don't show Microsoft" selection at the bottom. Finish the changes, tell it ok, and reboot.
These are probably what I'd be taking out for testing, and putting back one by one as I chose for 'need' purposes.

I am not a fan of the Norton suites, I'd probably be deinstalling that and getting AVG or AntiVir instead.
Also you got that MagicJack, interesting. How's that work for ya? Just curious. Read up on it real quick here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagicJack
As it's using your computer, it's *possible* that it's giving you some headaches... It's possible that everything else thrown at the computer as possibles might not be the thing until you try taking this out. I wouldn't think a VoIP service would suck up too much bandwidth, but it's possible.
If you can't get the CohHelper to work, post up a DxDiag log, which though long, will get us the machine information we need... may be important to the problem.

This is houtex, aka Mike, signing off the forums. G'night all. - 10/26/2012
Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012
The other thing that may be causing problems for CoH Helper is the .Net Framework 2.0 may not be installed or may be corrupted.
You can get the .Net Framework 2.0 and later versions through Windows Updates. I believe that with XP they are listed in the Recommeded Updates or Optional Updates. Can't remember what it's called since I'm not running XP on a daily basis anymore.

You're infected ========
Copy and paste your hijackthis log you posted here into this site and hit analyze. Ouch.
Go to the forums of Malwarebytes and follow these directions and post your HijackThis log in the HijackThis forum and those more knowledgeable than me will help you from there.
Malwarebytes was able to get rid of what Spybot, Adaware, and AVG couldn't on my machine.

lol, nice thread hijack magnus1...
Well, since the OP hasn't responded with any of the requested information, we needed something here to break the monotony.

ok, so this is very strange. When I load up other games, I get no lag. Everything is fine.. but when I load up CoH/CoV my ISP gets really bad, sending the "Sent" up to 300,000+ and the recieved up to and over 1,000,000.
I checked that maybe it was something thats wrong with my stuff. So I resetted, unplugged and replugged my modem, restarted my cpu... basically pretty much did everything on my end that I can think of. I also tested it out with other MMO's and they do not effect my connection at all..
It ONLY happens when I load into the game. Its VERY annoying because I get some pretty nasty rubberbanding in the game and it becomes pretty unplayable. I really like CoH/CoV and do not want to quit.. but I wont pay to not be able to play
Someone know what the hell if wrong with my gear?
PS: I did just did and ALWAYS do virus and malware scans. My pc is clean from that gunk, so thats not it.
