The most cool is the secret club somewhere in Faultline.

[/ QUOTE ]I like the one in Grandville better.

I've heard about a hidden club in Grandville, but have never been able to find it. Can you give me a general idea of where the entrance is?

    [/ QUOTE ]
It's in the underground section. The entrance is in plain sight, but at the same time it's kinda hidden unless you like at it from the right way.

    [/ QUOTE ]
You sure it's still there? I just combed through all the Grandville tunnrels that I know, clicking on every door and manhole cover I could find, but no secret room...

  3. Speaking of those mysterious notes, the ParagonWiki article on the Imperious Task Force mentions that another of those notes is found there, but I've never been able to find it. Can anyone tell me where to find that note in that TF?

AE building seems different. You can see out the windows, but can't see in, which is odd, and that would mean that the upper level of AE is at least in the spot we see it in the gameworld. The lower level, where you enter from the street, I'm not sure of. Maybe it's far underground like the other shops.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can also see through the skylights of the University buildings, and sometimes see other players flying by, especially if they have a large area aura power running. However, the point of view is way below street level, so someone standing on the "outside" of the skylight only appears as a dot far up in the sky.
  6. The plaque under the Atlas Statue still mentions the 5th Column attacks in WW II. It was briefly altered to mention the Council in the Beta issue when they introduced, but when I reported it as a bug one of the devs (forget which one) replied that it should have stayed 5th column, and it was soon reverted.

Personally, I've never liked the Council, and hope that the 5th Column becomes more common in ordinary missions again.
  7. I use a COT map in one of my arcs that sometimes has randomly placed glowing crystals. They never seemed to cause a problem before, but in every test run since Issue 15 went live, the escort ally stops following if she passes through the area of effect of one of the buff crystals.

Is this new behavior, or did I just miss it before? Also, is there any known workaround, such as a particular AI setting that ignores the crystal? I really like the map I'm using, and would like avoid going through all the COT maps trying to find one that never has crystals (assuming such a map even exists)...
  8. I only had time to test a few of my missions, but the locations actually seemed to work better with today's patch. I set all my ambushes to spawn in a different zone than the trigger, but until today they always spawned right next to the trigger.

Haven't you noticed that despite having so many bus stops in Paragon, there are no buses? That's because those bus stops are actually full of gold! Tasty, tasty, pirate booty! And it's alllll mine!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually it's because a strike by the bus driver union in protest of the "new" monorail being built. It is the longest labor strike in US history, and there have been accusations in the past that Arachnos is somehow involved in the continued impasse.

In a related note, continued fuel shortages in the Rogue Isles continue to mean that there is little road traffic on several islands. Few oil tankers have risked travel to the Rogue Isles since Miss Liberty sank the Cairo Queen off the island of Port Oakes.

    Ambush question

They did lower the max number of ambushes after MA was released, and made it count some triggers which were over-looked at first, so you might be remembering one of the missions that took advantage of that initially.
  11. If we can change the color of spine scrappers' thorns, then I'll be ditching the "bananas" as soon as I can login.

Other than that, I have usually been taking the existing power colors into account when designing my characters. I might try different colors on different costumes, especially those costumes which reflect "powering up". The new color choices will probably be most useful to me when creating new characters.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Well, it's my understanding that it's not farms that were the issue, but farms that were using a specific set of exploits MA had when it was first released... use of which- at one point - caused Posi's head to explode.

I thought it was a little premature to let him take off the helmet of his containment suit. Luckily there wasn't much damage when he lost control this time (just the AE building in Croatoa? ).
  13. [ QUOTE ]
It can't be Rhode Island because of the geography. In Paragon City you have Ocean to the north. I'm not seeing anyplace in the state that would fit the same geography.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Maybe some of the past super-villain activities just screwed up the magnetic fields in Paragon. Last time I checked, the moon rose in the "north" over Paragon Sity and set in the "south"...
  14. As others have stated, some specific missions may require more than one character to complete. Additionally, some missions and enemies may be impossible to solo for some ATs (for example, my dark defender's damage output is lower than some enemy's regeneration rate). However, there is always something you can solo at each level.
  15. I believe you're looking for $name. The map sounds like a Carnie rave, probably an unloackble found under unique warehouse maps.
  16. In my (limited) experience, it's hard to get the prices listed in the official price guides. They also might not be "mint" condition. I wouldn't expect to make that much off the flea market comic books unless you can line up a buyer ahead of time.
  17. I aim for the sort of stuff that you see on US broadcast primetime TV. that seems to give me a safe margin.

Sooo...just to be clear. We're paying a monthly fee to make our own content and now they want 20 bucks to do more work that gets destroyed with each nerf and removal?

You guys are all day suckers

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm paying a monthly fee to play a game I enjoy. A "sucker" would be someone who was paying a monthly on a game they didn't enjoy. You [u]do[u] enjoy COX, don't you?
  19. The first mission of my MAGI Vault Heist arc (ID# 3885) is another one that's designed to "fail". In this case, I had to put the "failure debrief text" in the success field.

I was experimenting with different mission types in this arc, and although it has gotten good ratings, there are a few rough spots that I will revisit as new MA features are deployed.
  20. From your description, it sounds like it is not working as intended. If you can get that map to perform the same with your own settings, you might want to report it as a bug in MA.

I wouldn't report your buddy's map, just in case the communication wires get crossed (wouldn't want someone to accidentally flag his arc as "bad"). However, filing a bug report explaining exactly what settings/map cause the problem could be very useful to the devs.

    Issue 15 . . . .

I think the size of i15 has less to do with CO and more to do with being sandwiched between i14 and Going Rogue.

What, didn't you know? Champions Online (And Jack Emmert) is at fault for EVERYTHING. They forged the magic bullet, hired John Wilks Booth, spearheads the Illuminati, the free masons, and the NWO, caused the dissaperance of Emilia Airheart, was responsible for the troops not finding WMD's in Iraq, Killed Jimmy Hoffa, stole the contents of Al Capones vault, runs Area 51, bombed Pearl Harbor, eats babies, kicks puppies into the sun, tears the tags off of mattresses, and was responsible for Troy Hickman not winning an Eisner.

    [/ QUOTE ]
In other words, Champions Online is a Nemesis plot?

I've played since before COV launch, and I'd NEVER heard of this piece of lore. How does something this big go completely unmentioned in-game?

The first rule of the Volcanic Club, is that no one talks about the Volcanic Club...
  23. It's not currently possible. I expect it's on their "wish list" for future MA features, but I have heard nothing as to when (if ever) it might be implemented.

    Random maps=bad?

The spawn locations are already random (unless you pick a map with only one spawn type in a given zone), so even selecting a specific map does not completely eliminate randomness.

That said, in my published arcs, I estimate about 1/3 of the maps are randomly selected. If the mission I'm designing doesn't require a specific sequence of encounters, and all the maps in a given set have the required number of spawn types, I usually leave the map random. I know that I'm probably the only person who will see the mission more than once, but if I run an alt through the arc again instead of doing a radio mission, I want to be surprised.
  25. [ QUOTE ]
What would be nice is if we could make a list of problematic or even odd spawn points so that they could be petitioned to the devs for a change in location.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Someone already made and posted such a list. Unfortunately, this forum's post placement is bugged, so I can't tell you exactly where it will be located if you look for it...
