Quote:Excellent.
One of my favorite holidays. -
Quote:No worries. Although steel toed boots and shoes are no better at squishing feet than the same boots without steel toes. Steel toes only add a few grams to the boot's weight and don't make getting stepped on by them any worse unless the wearer is standing en pointe. After all, steel toes are caps/domes that go over the toes to protect them from impacts from above, and don't affect the soles under the toes very much.If you come out to dancing please not wear steel toe boots i not want feet squish! And i will be dragging many guys and girls to dance floor like I love doing! Including Ava-chan and Pebble, and Melissa again! So no too hard of shoes! And if you wearing something with chain I going promise to bring neon marker to coloring links bright colors like pink, yellow, or purple
If you shy person you may be overwhelmed by me cause I going grab hands and bounce everywhere and you not able to hide! I maybe very small but I have good eyes! However, if someone punts you with steel toes it would probably hurt more. (It's also very rude, regardless of footwear.)
Still, i'm not planning to wear steel-toed shoes or boots anyway, so you should be mostly safe from my feet. Mostly.
Since i'm working until at least 5pm Friday, and will be installing a sculpture on a pedestal that's going to be secured in a hole that i will also be digging, it may become a moot point, since i'm not sure i'll make it to NYCC until Saturday since it will take a couple hours to go home and clean up. Plus another hour or two to get into Manhattan.
Eh, we'll see. -
Quote:i could get behind that. And stay there while you destroy everything in front.I'll admit I haven't read the thread, just skipped ahead to drop in my two cents after seeing Ocho voice support for Illusion for Doms.
Illusion/Psionic Assault. I would make it my main and play it more than any other toon. It would DESTROY anything that stood in front of it. -
Quote:Besides, origin is almost totally irrelevant to game play with the exception of a few temporary powers whose effects vary depending on origin. The origin powers by level 10 are basically useless*, and having to buy SOs and DOs from different stores doesn't really make much difference other than some are slightly more convenient to reach in some zones. There are four things we cannot / will not be allowed to change on a character:
AT
Origin
Primary
Secondary.
Three of those make mechanical/balance sense. Origin, I suspect, is a holdover from the early, early (alpha) version of the game, where Origin actually tied into how (and how much) you could advance. I'm thinking it's so deeply buried in the foundation of the character definition that altering things to allow you to change it would break... well, more than we'd expect. (That's aside from suddenly being full of DOs/SOs of the "wrong" type, etc.)
For now, just type something up in your bio.
(I won't argue if we ever DO get to change it - I don't see myself doing so, really, but still. I just don't expect it'll become doable.)
*Offhand Taser Dart for tech origin can be useful for lighting an Oil Slick if you don't have any other source of energy or fire damage, but that's about as useful as the origin powers are past 10 or so. -
Quote:Customizing after the fact can be handy if you want to raise the diving board, add another ladder, or enlarge the deck around it.I usually take care of any pool customization when I first talk to the contractor. It's just a pain to get it done afterward, other than little things like landscaping.

Quote:If activating Integration with the alternate animation has you do a "popdance" i'd have to make a regen user with a name along the lines of "Codpiece of Power"...Oh, I don't know. A crotch-grabbing animation would be worse.
New animations and emanation points will be great. Now i'm really looking forward to seeing the promotional video.
Very interested in seeing what the reworked Incarnate System and new task forces will be like as well.
Work faster, Devs! -

Quote:i have secondhand knowledge in that after running into a bunch of characters who all had SG names similar in format to the old group of SGs and having seen none of the original SGs in some weeks i asked a member and he told me that they used to be the old SGs and had the SG names changed.I've heard rumors that such a thing was possible via petition but no one that mentioned it to me ever actually had first hand knowledge it was actually possible so I haven't put much faith in the stories, thus didn't mention it.
So instead of being (not real name) Renowned Zeroes Gamma they were now (also not real name) Hearty Zeroes Gamma Goblins.
Sadly, i didn't ask how it was done. -
Quote:LOL doesn't need your thanks. LOL does it for the lulz. Was loading into some AE farmage and the loading screen tip told me
"You can level from 1-50 within Mission Architect"
All I can say is LOL!!!!
Yeah thats all we do is farm in this game, you're right we CAN level from 1-50 just within mission architect, THANKS LOL!!!!!!!!!!
KNEEL BEFORE LOL!
i understand well the need to be a self-amusing personality, but to find that funny, even in a quasi-satirical way... That just smacks of desperation to find something, anything, amusing.
The babbling about farming doesn't make any sense either. Sure, you can farm your way to 50 both inside and outside AE, but it fails as sarcasm since the only reason to do that is because you want to farm. (Or not.)
Still, i guess it's good you were amused, no matter how inane i personally find the source. -
Quote:Very nice.It is in the "Post Your Base Pictures" Thread in the Base Construction Forum...
I pinpointed the post:Here you go!
And yeah, I remember that and it is indeed great!
Let's see...
C O S S I E
C O S T U M E
To be fair it does take one less letter to write "cossie" instead of "costume". That said, it's one term i'm never likely to use except in the furtherance of some sort of mockery. -
Quote:A passive that provides badge protection? Hopefully i can skip it.Doomsday cannot be modeled in game because unlike CoX characters, he only gains XP when he faceplants.
Which brings up an interesting idea for a defensive powerset. The set would be based around faceplanting (no Firey/Energy Aura jokes please). You ride into your first spawn with the expectation you'll fall, but when you use the second core power of your set, a self rez, you come back stronger than before. Eact time you rez, the buff stacks to a point. The first core power of the set would obviously be a passive that provides debt protection.
.
Most rezzes provide debt protection anyway.
Any powerset can defeat Superman in real life, but writer's fiat is the most common. In the DC universe it might be a little trickier. -

Quote:Very true, but does the field's duration get reduced by enemy rank? Here is a hint:
Right-click on the power in your tray and click "info". Switch to the tab marked "detailed info" and there it will tell you everything about the power, even how long it lasts and how much damage it does for the time it takes to activate and recharge called "damage per cast cycle".
That's better than getting any "I think it's..." answer here. -
i know of at least one group of SGs that apparently were able to get themselves renamed after the founder left the game. (The SGs didn't like him very much after the way he left, but apparently didn't want to disband completely.) i don't know how they did it, but i would guess sending in a petition or contacting support was part of the process.

Quote:Going Rogue beta testers had the opportunity to try out the alpha slot of the Incarnate system, but it was pulled from Going Rogue to be reworked. There are a few bits in the game that offer glimpses of what will probably be in the system, but the current design will have ten Incarnate levels that add various abilities and bonuses to characters as well as content designed to challenge characters with Incarnate abilities.the first part of the incarnate system, a system of alternative leveling for max level characters, unlocked by specific content.

Quote:Oh, hey, i picked up a card pack the other day on whim even though i haven't played M:tG in over a year and got that card. i actually like it.This thread makes me want to roll a character named "Skittles, the Bright Dragon" but the name is too long
This is Skittles:
Image © Wizards of the Coast
And back on topic... Yes, yes i have. The most recent example was finding that the name Feral Catgirl was available on most servers. So i now have a clutch of Feral Catgirls based on several different conceptualizations of that name. The very first was on Virtue and is a Mace/SR Brute who was engineered as a bioweapon on two levels: after escaping from the research center she uses her superhuman speed and strength to crush enemies with a large femur, and is also a bioreactor for a viral payload designed to eliminate other human/feline hybrids. (Not that she's really aware of the latter aspect.)
The thing is that once i come up with a name i immediately start coming up with concepts and backstories to go with it, so it's not really only for the name by the time i hit the costume creator. -
That's not even really a hippie sort of thing. It's a sort of self-loathing projected onto every other human being.
News flash: Humans are as much a part of nature as any other organism out there. (Setting aside for the moment that the majority of living cells in a human being contain no human DNA, tiny little ecosystems that our bodies are.) Of course that doesn't mean that human presence and population is always a good thing. Much like the out of control algal blooms that cause red tide, unchecked human population growth can cause widespread damage. It's a really odd sort of arrogance to assume that humans are something completely separate and distinct from the rest of nature.

Quote:Not that you have to respec out of the pool, but i honestly can't see any reason to not free up three additional power picks even if you keep the same slotting in the fitness powers. Of course if you like your character as is you can just keep playing and not worry about it.It's not just Stamina going inherent, the whole fitness pool is. Characters without the pool selected will get it as inherents automatically while those that did will have to respec and no one will be able to take the non-inherent version of the Fitness Pool anymore.

Quote:Let us know how it works out for you.I sort of tested this out on gray cons. I noticed when I stood near gray con mobs they would get the damage but act like nothing was going on.
I am more trying to use WoC as an additional damage mitigation tool. But with the additional slots I went with Damage Procs along with the Purple IO CC proc.
I Need to just do nothing and see how WoC with all the Procs and such is really working out.
Personally i found WoC without IOs to be less than i was looking for on my Blaster. -
Quote:meh. And if that were the purpose o' BMT, this part o' your post might actually mean somethin'.
Edit: Posts by Amygdala and myself both mentioned various global channels on the server, which would imply or infer others aside from BMT, just FYI.
Sorry.
Carry on. -
Quote:And a red thread is used as a metaphor for fate that connects people?Red is the symbol of good fortune and prosperity in Chinese culture (hence the reason you see it often used so prominently) - almost every wall/ceiling hanging accessory has a tassel like that at the bottom if it's meant to bring good fortune into the home.

Quote:There are also several several channels that don't require invites to join.* Champions United is one such. Drop by the server forums and say hello for more info. My three favorite servers are Champion, Virtue and Infinity, but i play on all the NA servers now and again.I've been playing on Champion for years. It is a great server with lots going on if you know where to look. I'd advise going to the Champion forums and checking out the events calendar, as well as joining one of our global chat channels. Teams/TFs/raids are generally organized through them.
Send a tell to @Cobalt Azurean for an invite to one of our main channels. Feel free to send me a tell as well @Amygdala if you need a hand.
*Actually, global channels formed for coordinating events server-wide requiring invites is a bit antiquated now since you can just set a channel to start everyone as silenced when they join. That allows anyone who wants to know what's going on to join regardless of whether a channel mod is online and trolls still can't easily cause disruptions. -
Aha, i always thought it was supposed to be a tassel. i figured it was supposed to be a luck charm of sorts.
