Post-patch CoP Stormie AV downed in 7 minutes

xeaon ran another CoP tonight redside. We got the purple stormie AV. The whole trial finished in 17 minutes.

Phase 0:
We took a nap in Global Co base to refresh ourselves.

Phase 1:
A couple of afkers/DCs at the start, but obelisks taken down in one go.

AV spawn:
Purple guy/Stormie spawned. Peoples facepalmed and headdesked. xeaon went on to talk strategy for ten minutes in request.

Assault:
HIT Aspect of Rularuu! Your Irradiate power had a 19.34% chance to hit, you rolled a 3.64.
MISSED Aspect of Rularuu!! Your Choking Cloud power had a 15.57% chance to hit, you rolled a 95.98.

This was with vengeance and several tactics and debuffs active... However, there were a lot of pets, a couple of shivans, some clockworks, a Vanguard heavy, and a snowman. All these pets clogged his tubes and target-capped him, so hurricane wasn't hitting all of us. This allowed us to take him out in three blooms. We started attacking around the 50m mark and took him down around 43m.

The clockwork, snowman, and one of the two or three shivans were mine. Just doing my part to choke the enemy under the weight of our dead!

I want in on this. Do you guys do any recruiting, or is this largely kept to your SG?

I'm actualy pugging it.

I normaly ask if sg down to run one, so i have at least a few in the sg to help me lead. then spam channels.
For the pas few days i did one run a day, or at least joined one, when not forming/leading. And i do it both side (we do have 3 base red side, and 2 blue side to facilitate this).

My goal is to have more ppl keeping interest in this, and stop beeing skerd of the purple AV.

i'm part of X's SG and only counted a total of 4 of us (although there may have been a few more)

By 'PUG', Xeaon means a lot of people who already know each other from hanging around the VirtueUnited and other channels. Hell, I have a lot of new characters that don't have any SG -- they just tag along whenever X or RK get something together. Think of them as reserve members.

The old storm AV was killer. The new one is less frightening. Significant changes seem to be that his hurricane had reduced debuffs; he no longer can attack or use his hurricane while bubbled up; and I think his natural regen was reduced.

I was honored to be along for the ride for this CoP. By the way, I discovered the best method of clearing the spawn points: Omega Maneuver. Seems to cut through rularuu like, well, like shrapnel through a flock of eyeballs.

bleh. and I missed that CoP because I was trying to get out of Praetoria

Inferno is better still, but that doesn't make Omega Maneuver bad...

I'll have to tag along sometime X. I see it in Coalie chat all the tim, but I never go... I guess I like PvP too much. I'll have to tag along at some point. xD

I gotta figure out how to get in on one of these, though is it redside only or does Blueside have it's own as well?

I ran almost 1 per day last week, on both side, but its on random/hours. Ya know life get in the way. so when i figure when i can do it, its time to do it <.<

I think Ara still run a few, when ppl ask nicely. And well, maybe other ppl could start running those now ?!?
