Quote:Because the Steampunk Rifle was made that way. It's easier to make multiple versions of an item at the same time so it fits multiple sets than to go back and remake it after it was already made for multiple sets.Lol, sure. I wonder why the steampunk rifle is available to SOAs in beta then.
Quote:Yeah I'm gonna have to go with WRONG on this one. I don't know the details of the agreement CoX made with Marvel, DC etc but I am quite sure you are incorrect. I had made a bunch of new toons a few months ago and they all got genericed; the names included: Apocalypse, Longshot, Wildcat, Sentinel, Tombstone etc. So, if you know something I don't, I'd appreciate an update. I was rather choked I had all of these names taken away when they were available for me to take in the first place.
It might help if the devs gave us some info in this area as well. It's not cool to work on a toon for months and then have the name yanked. If we can't use the damn name then don't make it available to us.
And they didn't "make those names available" - it's far easier to make a list of prohibited names than allowed names. Devs can go and use names like that easier because they can make sure whatever scenario that uses them does not fall afoul of the law. -
Quote:Because, yes, the people who DON"T play the set are who's opinions we should use. That's just it though...tweaking Forcefields isn't a long the same lines as making an entire new powerset...sure it might be about making an entire new power (because screw Detention field...people may love it but 90% of the people you team with will hate you for using it...ever).
When you have a set which does everything that Forcefield can do AND provides utility aka Traps...what's the point in ever taking Forcefield?
Storm Summoning, PREPARE TO BE BENT OVER!
To be frank, FF has positioning options (via KB and Repel) that Traps doesn't. And Detention can be a life saver.

Ooo, very nice! Do you recall what the chain mail top comes from?
In regards to the top sellers from Beta, if they draw any conclusion that people want enhancement boosters, I'll be horrified.
Quote:Unless they need to be reminded with one word:
"Boresight."
I seem to recall people saying in beta that that would be in *incredible* demand on the market... and it pretty well never has been, as far as I recall.
Studded leather type armor doesn't really say "barbarian" to me so much as a) "cheap" and b) not as restrictive, but that could be simply too much D&D -

Eh, with a pure damage power early on, and PA... it might start a tad slow, but illusion can get going, especially depending on what you pair it with.

Quote:If I did my math right a while back, at the cap, brutes outdamage scrappers, but otherwise get fairly even with decent fury.Just to elaborate on that: They were given an even lower damage scale than Tankers, along with the highest damage cap (note: damage cap is not directly comparable between ATs!) due to the Fury mechanic. They were intended to raise their damage from even worse than Tankers to somewhere around that of Scrappers, long as they were able to maintain high levels of Fury.
The somewhat recent change to Fury lowered the cap, in exchange for making it easier to maintain the Fury levels.
Criticals not included. -

Quote:I think it might provide you with enough stealth that enemies with perception bonuses, such as snipers and Rikti drones, can't see you.Quote:Take note that some enemies, like the aforementioned Rikti drones, completely ignore stealth. You cannot get enough stealth to hide from them. But perception debuffs, like smoke grenade will affect them.
Rikti Drones and Knives of Artemis do not agro farther out than normal mobs. -
Quote:Some times you can claim that. When you do, it also tends to block any additional inf. claims - but as the OP found, only until you go low enough to have them come through in full. So if it does happen, drop some bids on no-existant XOs.You can't claim an amount that'll push you over the 2 billion limit, at least I couldn't that last time I tried.
You can't delete an email with an attachment still in it.
You can return it to sender. Did you send it using your global name? If so, then it should have just bounced back to you again. It'll be at the other end of your email list, being newest.
If you wait a bit, your email list will probably reset and it'll show. Try zoning, that forces an update to a lot of things. -

Quote:There are three types of special IOs.Oh, awesome. Good to know! I was thinking that would only happen in an inherent but that you'd have to have the toggle on to get the continuous benefit from it in a toggle power.
Globals - These work as set bonuses so work, even in a grayed out power due to exemplaring, as long as your exemplar'd level is not lower than the IO's -3 (min. level to slot the IO).
Procs - these need the power to be activated/active to trigger. In autos/toggles/rain, will (attempt) to trigger every 10 seconds.
"Proc120" - same triggering rules as a proc, other than they always trigger. -
Only thing I see sub-optimal for what you are looking for is the graphics card solution - 6755 radeon HD mobile.
My card handles most of Ultramode fine, and is a 6870 regular card. Its (roughly) a generation and a step or two down from mine, not counting the fact it's an intergrated/mobile version, which generally means it's not as good as the same number card in a desktop/regular version. So from what I know, it'd handle the non-ultra stuff fine - but for the ultra mode stuff no clue. -

Quote:At least when I lived in California, where I lived people understood that no matter where the sun was, you turn your lights on in the fog.I live in SoCal, I don't give people a hard time about earthquakes.
I do, however, give SoCal people a hard time about rain, snow, and temps below 75 degrees.
I moved to SoCal from Oklahoma, where they have Winter, Tornado, Summer and Lesser Tornado seasons.
Here, I once had someone honk and flip me off after I almost ran them off the road as they came up beside me and I was changing lanes. Imagine, fog so thick you can't see the lamp poles 20 feet ahead, he didn't have any lights on, and was driving a white car and I couldn't see him in my mirror as a seperate vehicle from the white explorer I was driving.
And if they do actually think to put their lights on, they blind themselves with the brights. Bah. -
Maybe the person doesn't know how monitors are measured? I mean, I've a 19" and that wold be about 12" high.

Quote:Not sure if I've seen #1, I know I haven't seen #3, but the other two are definitely great. Some of the episodes I would've put on that list (in no particular order):
- See No Evil: A small-time crook gets ahold of an invisibility suit and uses it to commit robberies around Gotham. We find out he has a young daughter from his ex-wife; he intends to steal her back, and use the money so that both of them can live comfortably.
- Tyger, Tyger: A twist on "The Island of Dr. Moreau," a mad scientist kidnaps Catwoman and takes her to his island filled with his genetic experiments. The real focus of this episode is the character Tygrus, one of the experiments, and his relationship with his "father," the scientist.
- Growing Pains: Aka 'The Annie episode.' Robin meets a girl with no memories, and they find that Clayface is chasing her for some reason. The ending to this episode is one of the most powerful in BTAS.
- His Silicon Soul: My favorite Batman episode. One of the HARDAC robots from an earlier episode was programmed to replicate Batman/Bruce Wayne in every way, yet he doesn't know that he's a machine.
"His Silicon Soul" is kinda sad. -
Quote:If you bought the "Going Rogue : Complete Collection" it will have one code in it.r u telling me that i just wasted my money buying the retail copy of going rouge and now i have to pay $29.99 off of the NCsoft store cuz my retail coppy of complete collection diddent come with a code
I can't tell you where, but it should have one in your box. I myself got the digital copy (via NCSoft Store for one account, and Steam another). Popular places in the past have been in the CD sleeve and in the quick start guide.
As for installing the game - there is *one* client, and the NCSoft launcher will just read it as "City of Heroes".
P.S. - It's rogue. Rouge is a) a word for "red" and b) a makeup of that color. -
Number 1 Reason Steelclaw disappeared - Implied wife was NOT an attractive member of the opposite sex.

Quote:As I recall, that VEAT respec isn't free, it's forced.(d) VEATs get a free respec upon leveling to 24 to be used immediately,
(e) doing Patron arc (red-side) after lvl 40, earns a respec upon completing first story arc.
Difference.
There are three kinds of "Freespecs"
Devs hand one out.
The Respec Recipes (Both inventions and event vendor) are another kind.
And the bought-with-real-money ones as I recall.
A character can only have one freespec of any kind. On the plus side, teh crafted ones grey out if you have one. -
If you check out www.Paragonwiki.com, and search for "Paragon rewards" they have a list there of how many tokens are required to reach each tier. For the auction house lifetime liscense, there is no partial step because it's real quick.
I know you need about 13 tokens for tier five, not sure what it is for tier four, but you get the free token (tier 1) and if you've a pre-existing accoutrements, you'll have the one for having bought one or more boxes. That's tier 2 right there. Plus one per vet badge, and one extra for each 12 month vet badge, and it adds up.
