Location Help Request

I know about /loc

Is there a way, without me being a computer "superstar", to input a location waypoint so my toon can follow compass headings or at least "see" it on the map?

The last game I played had a slash command.

I have been using badgehunter for locations for exploration, but find my flip to web, then back to game method tedious. Praetoria does not have the nifty descriptions like primal earth in wiki.

Hi,

Vidiotmaps downloadable ingame map overlays are your friend. You just do a very swift register on Badge hunters site and a short download.

That gets you all you will ever need on your ingame map

Once you have that done and your map open all you have to do is right click on the spot on the map you want to travel to and you get a waypoint marker placed.

It also shows up in your Nav bar just like a mission marker so you can just follow that.

When you get there you can unset the way marker by right clicking again.

Job done

PS. Hope my right clicks are right (can not get in game just now to check) but if not hopefully somebody will set us right (arghhh!)

Edit to add. You can of course do all the waymarker stuff without downloading Vidiotmaps overlays but I strongly recomend the download as well.

I know about the coordinates. I would like to know if there is a way to input them for navigation ease.

Other than right-clicking on the minimap to set a waypoint, no.

There is no way to enter a set of coordinates and have the game give you a waypoint.

Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.

Thank you for your reply and bummer.

Hey devs: How about a slash command (ex. /goto 132, -8563, 677) or button? I know the system will support this because of the nifty navigation feature to find mission starts and NPCs you guys wrote.

Actually, this is a mute point due to the badgehunter overlay and pushpin method. Spend your "grey matter" on bigger and better things.

for a broad description of where you are... and I mean broad, try this slash command...

/whereami

I love it, especially since I am a rabid altoholic and can't remember what server I logged in on or where I actually am... maybe I drink too much... either way, it's a fun command.

I have this bound to shift+/ (aka ?) in my default keybinds. Oh so handy since I have over 100 characters... several duplicates spanning different servers...

I appreciate the information. Not personally needed however since I play only on 1 server (Justice) which is the town's name my wife and I are moving to in a week. Half my brain died in a stroke 5 years ago, so I try to compartmentalize any information. Once again thank you. Helpful and friendly folks have made me a huge fan of the players in CoH.

"Moot" point. Not a big deal, just wanted to point that out to you.
