Transfering Influence: Did I just lose a whole lot?

Whew...what a relief. It was like it was still there, but I could not see it ("claim") it. Once I spent enough on bids to get below the limit, it started adding the missing inf to my balance.
Hope everyone can learn from my mistakes.

You can't claim an amount that'll push you over the 2 billion limit, at least I couldn't that last time I tried.
You can't delete an email with an attachment still in it.
You can return it to sender. Did you send it using your global name? If so, then it should have just bounced back to you again. It'll be at the other end of your email list, being newest.
If you wait a bit, your email list will probably reset and it'll show. Try zoning, that forces an update to a lot of things.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
