    Exploit does not necessarily mean it will trigger Marty. So just because Marty doesn't trigger, doesn't mean it's not an exploit.

    I've had to start ignoring people because it winds me up no end listening to their uninformed ******** about how their farming has definitely been stopped by MARTy and it's all a conspiracy by the devs to force them out of the game.
    For one thing, I seem to recall someone mentioned a range (a dev OR Arcanaville I want to say) a 1-10 minute reward lockout.

    You mean the one that hit me, and simply updating my password fixed it? That "THe forums were down all week" issue?

    It's my private belief that this game could have been greater, and had the potential to explode in population at various points in the past. Certain decisions, like looking down on how some players used AE, have hurt their bottom line. In a game allowing us to play as villains in an environment created by an in-game villain, they clamp down on "improper" or "unintended" use of game systems? Who cares how they're having fun, as long as they continue to pay to play. In a fantasy environment, it doesn't make a lot of sense to talk about "immoral" use of what the game makes available. The pretend money doesn't matter as long as the real money keeps rolling in.
    First of all, when they made AE, they told us not to farm - unless you're referring to something else about it not making sense to talk about "immoral" use of the game?

    And for the most part, the Devs have only really cracked down on exploits in the AE. Normal farms do get nulled by the GMs, but usually only after being reported. TO be honest, I think fire farms have only lasted this long because of a) i21 being in Beta, and b) they want to work out a good way to null that style of AE abuse without nerfing people playing normally.

    And while not all farmers are such : there are plenty that don't understand that AE does not mean "Farm" - half the reason I am iffy with the AE is people who invite those looking for "AE arcs" then get pissed when said invited one leaves the farm.

    I also, guess I was simply to suppose to randomly come across one of your posts somewhere and discover your guide.

    My question was answered quickly and politely by others and I thank them for it. Your "help" wasn't needed or wanted the way you put it.

    Furthermore, your post, now, is only good for someone else having the same problem in the future.

    Too bad you couldn't do it without the condescension.
    Ah, because you are such a unique and special snowflake that it doesn't matter if others have the same issue as you did?

    Anyway, the Guide to Guides is pretty good at listing the guides in Player Guides.

    Spring Attack

    Off the top I want to say no. But next time you level up a controller, see if it mentions the double damage when messed in the detailed power descriptions.
  5. If you check out the Commuinty Digest, they mention that a) they know about it, and b) they should have it fixed this week.

    All three attacks - Spring Attack, Shield Charge, and Lightning Rod - work the same way. All three teleport you to the location (Animations may vary, but the actual effect is a teleport) and then you drop a Psuedopet which launches the attack portion of the power.

    As such, you don't attack and so you don't break hide. You do cause agro though.
  7. It sounds like in addition to Pilgrim being confused, he's not seeing the 15-20 bracket of Flashback arcs. That would be a bug. Let us know if they show up when you hit 25.
  8. The store is good at marking premium unlocks as "VIP Content" in the description.

    Vet Temp Powers

    And technically the majority of those powers are "Inherent" not temp.

    Except for ranged brawl, they need to move that one anyway.

    All pool powers have a prerequisite. Tier 1 only has the prequiste that you can't have already chosen 4 power pools. Tier 2 you must have chosen a Teir 1 from the same power pool. Tier 3 you must have chosen 2 powers from Teirs 1 or 2.

    The devs just added 4 brand new Tier 3 powers to the game but for some reason these all got named Tier 5 Powers in the patch notes.
    Probably a carry over from how we refer to Pri/Sec powers. I know I personally try to avoid "tier" with power pools.

    As far as referring to the first and second powers as T1 or as T1 and T2 - in this game, very few powersets (Master Mind Pets, Dominator Assualt, and Blaster Manipulation) are not only shared by ATs, but as primary for one and secondary for the other. As such, we've always use "Tier" to refer to the "Power number" since power choosing differs in primary and secondary sets.
  11. Incarnates is not considered part of Going Rogue (even though it requires Going Rogue) - and while you have access to Demon Summoning and Electric Control, you must have MMs and Controllers unlocked to play them with those powersets (However, they are "VIP" powersets, so if you had not had GR prior to freedom, you would of had to pay to have those sets unlocked in addition to requiring the Controller MM unlock)
  12. There was a one-time grant of two extra global slots, IIRC, back when they first became available. As far as I know, they were granted to all non-trial accounts.

    For example, as a 7 year vet I have 7 anniversary slots, 2 "thank you slots" and two GR slots that I've obtained. (plus the bought slots).
  13. The powers can be buffed, is the common term.
  14. There is an "Earn XP" option in the Menu-> Options window. If you are worried about outleveling the content, disable it at... what, 9, 14, 19 I think it is for praetoria/

No. I've spent many a Friday night/early Saturday morning/early Sunday morning fixing network issues, updating servers, or running full and/or incremental backups. It's part of my salary. It's also part of my salary to do these things when the least number of people are affected.
    Because when you need to do a critical patch, the time when the least number of people affected is always when the patch becomes available to you? Lucky you.

    The teams have been going nuts all week. Some, many of them, have family. And kids. Earlier in the month when Z was posting at night, he was apparently at work, not posting from home.

    Unless you want the people applying critical fixes to be running on less than four hours of sleep when applying the patch.

    And for all we know, half the reason they chose 9AM Pacific is because that lets them patch /after/ it's cleared some kind of testing script that takes a while to run.

    Part of it is because new zones are easier. You do realized were were people upset to lose the old Faultline, right? It had some very unique visuals in it.

    It's a video live broadcast, Ustream is. You could see if someone (Von kreiger usually) has a recap thread already going.

    Not my fault, I was just trying out Lucca's Telepod thingy, when she got pushed by this strange girl who lives in the woods around the castle chasing a cat and all four of us ended up there and the crazy chick's necklace started some feedback loop or something.

    I want to go back to the fair, I was scheduled for the Drinking contest over by the dance area!
  21. 'Twas the night before update, and all through the game
    Many heroes were stirring, some with unspeakable names;
    The Heavies where standing by the depot with care,
    In ready that Praetorians soon would be there;

    The Villains were scheming not in their beds,
    while visions of plunder danced in their heads.
    And Mother in her 'Kini, Cole in his tower,
    Made more plots for ever more power.

    When up in the skies came such a clatter,
    Supers arose to see what was the matter;
    Away to Talos they ran like the wind,
    Flew to Sharkhead above the Hell Forge's din;

    The moon on the green of new grown leaves,
    Illuminated quite clearly the ill fate of Steve;
    When what to our disbelieving eyes should appear,
    Seedling of Hamidon, in Primal, here!

    Under orders came here two new Durays,
    With yet more Praetorians coming this way;
    It's Story Advancing, and with Nemesis Plots,
    Because in what mischief, has he his finger in not?

    And watch the players in the real word so cruel,
    as we dream of Beam blasters while on the pillows we drool.
    The market will take our digital cash,
    Unless of course the account server does crash.

    Will Zee have a chance of sleep, a moment to dream,
    before he begins a lengthy Ustream?
    In which before the meeting and between some the tangents,
    He'll wrangling in a co-host if it requires a dragnet

    This poster does ask "Please don't Murder Me",
    for it has been a long while since I tired such parody;
    But fear not that I shall make a list,
    For I am not Steelclaw to take such as risk.

    Listen for Miller and War Witch, Avatea and Andy,
    Arming themselves with Chai tea and candy;
    Throwing the off-switch with the Future in sight,
    Wishing Merry Update to All, and to all a Good fight!

  23. Healthy Population means one able to support the game and have it grow.

    It has that. And the overall population seems to have become fairly stable at a level that is healthy.

    Yes, it lost subs while other games gained, but that happens, especially have an expansion (aka "OOOH SHINEY!") is released where you have a bunch of people pick it up an causes a population surge.
