Quote:I get the feeling we'd see Nazi-supporting games in Germany first, due to issues with P.C. on the hi-lighted bit above. Why are there no Thanksgiving events? You know, giant turkey running through cities, maybe bring back pumpkin head, have random Native American and Pilgrim attacks. Give the N.A.'s bows and arrows, like the Warriors, and hide out in trees, like the Tsoo in the Hollows. The pilgrims could have special rifles, designed as muskets they could attack with, they could throw rocks, have axes and whatnot.
I'd find it pretty fun. =D
EDIT : On the flip side, edit the pumpkin head to drop "Pumpkin pie" (+Hp/+End) and "Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream" (Even More +HP/+End) and you got my support, otherwise

I'd say you have two options.
Ask to be esclated to a supervisor, or try asking TheOcho or Avetea here on the boards.
As for the why - it's to help against things like account sales and theft. -
As far as travel powers go, it would be leaping with a customized Super Jump.

Quote:One note - Base defense stacks with everything. Conversely, almost nothing gives it (PFF is the best/only example I can think of off the top of my head).Only Defense of like types stacks with each other and the game uses the Highest value you have that applies to the attack in question.
If someone throws a Fireball at you (marked as Smashing, Fire and AoE) the game will count you AoE defense (31%).
Second thing - Fireball's damage is type smashing & fire. However, damage has nothing, really, to do with attack types. Fireball is Fire/AoE for attack vectors - your S/L defense has nothing to do with how hard it is for fireball to hit you. -

*If you've never seen a Malta group with 2 Hercules Titan LT's in it do their thing then attack one and get it to about 50% and all things will be made clear. It's one of the cooler things to see in the game. -
Zues, or Herc? Different mobs. Although, a Zues is just a boss herc.

Quote:I seem to recall either Geko or Castle confirming that most mobs had a oval/offset circle of Perception, making it easier indeed to sneak up on them.Sometimes I feel like the direction the enemy is facing can impact whether or not they react to what's going on around them as well. This may or may not be the case, but it is a common tactic some people use when trying to pull enemies from mobs individually.
And I recall in Highkeep(?) there was one mob that would frequently run away from you, and creating a "train" (as it was called in eq) out of most of the zone.Quote:Go try the original Everquest if you want to see crazy aggro. You could shoot a gnoll at the bottom of Blackburrow and it would come running after you and bring along every single gnoll it met along the way.
Then it would return to you... -
Quote:Easy way to figure if an NPC version of a toggle uses end - Pretty much if it's player version is suppressed when you are mezzed, the NPC version is going to be a click or passive.Actually, Minions only have 80 end, Lts have 120, and bosses have about 200.
Further more, NPCs USUALLY only need end to attack, but never for armor toggles most NPC armors are passives anyway, but the AE versions of armors also do not use end, debuff toggles or damage auras however, do consume end.
If the toggle is shut off when mezzed, it's going to be a toggle power most likely. -
Quote:So wait, you are saying that due to some descriptive text on Power Siphon, kinetic melee does not do damage debuffs outside of PS's activations? Not according to ParagonWiki. The only power that says anything about doing -Dmg to foes while doing +Dmg for you is Power Siphon:
Power Siphon adds a small bonus to hit and modifies your other Kinetic Attack powers, so they are now capable of draining the strength of your enemies and adding that strength to you. This effect will stack up to 5 times
If so, then you're wrong. The powers ALWAYS do debuff - the powers listing for Kinetic Melee list this on paragon wiki as well as the detailed power info in game (they always list the debuff). -
Edited this into my post above as well :
Castle has explained to us that the system supports heal aggro, but none of the mobs are flagged to react/use it. -
Quote:If you are not able/want to wait to upgrade, and you want to team with other friends on a trial account, you can always ask for help in /hc - the ONLY time I won't help out someone asking to have a team made for them and their friends that I notice is if I'm on a locked team - such as a task force or Ouro-mission, because quitting those teams you can't rejoin.im both and old player and a new player, i played the original CoH and CoV but quit soon after CoV. i recently saw going rogue advertised somewhere and i figured i would give it a go. got a free trial account and love it. but there are a few things missing that really complicate it. for instance a trail account cant send party requests, how does that help? if you have to friends playing together they cant play in a party together because they cant invite the other person... i thought a trial account was to be an experience of the games good points. not a bit of a pain in the behind due to locked features.
A good number of people will do the same. -

Soft cap refers to the point at which, despite being able to further increase a stat, there are no more further realistic returns (except under extreme/rare conditions).
In this game, that pretty much is just defense.
In PvE, the attacking mobs average a base to-hit of 50%, which is countered point-for-point by defense. Min. 5% chance to hit, 95% max chance to hit always. So, the most you benefit from (on average) is 45% defense.
Things like mobs over +5, and npcs with to-hit buffs or npcs using defense debuffs can make having more than 45% useful.
In PvP base player to hit chance is 75% so there the soft cap would be 70%, but players frequently have access to to-hit buffs. -
Quote:Nemesis Marksmen and Rikti drones are completely different.4. Some mobs have enhanced perception, and their plus to perception is truly stupid, "I can see anything, period. you can be as far as the door entrance, even if I am the very back and there are walls in between us", such as Rikti Drones and Nemesis Marksmen.
"Sniper" class mobs have a perception of 149' (And boss levels of accuracy) - standard mobs are 45'-54'. Stealth helps against snipers - it lowers the range at which they see you - but they will still see you before other non-sniper types.
Rikti Drones, Knives of Artemis (ALL), and the Rularuu "eyeballs" all (for their own in game lore reasons) simply ignore stealth. They do not have increased perception like a sniper, so they will only agro in the 45'-54' unless there are special circumstances present.
Well, two types of ambushes - Location, and You. If they agro on location, they will run to where you were when they were triggered unless something catches their attention. Stalkers don't mind these.Quote:I don't think that's necessarily the case. Ambushes just start out aggroed to you. Already aggroed mobs don't check perception, they just come and whack you. Stalker hate this, but they're not really being "spotted," per se, they're just being directly attacked.
The "you" type ambushes - these are what the stalker hates because they are agro'd on you, no the location.
EDIT : Technically not true - (gah, forgot to post this :P) - the game has "healing aggro" - it's just not USED anywhere. For now.Quote:The game is well-known to be one of the few in the industry without buff aggro or healing aggro.
Are you sure it's the Nullies and not the Eagles? Eachles tend to have an AoE that forces them out of melee - and just so happens to also count as an attack, lowering stealthQuote:On the other hand, there is a true suppression case with at least one mob
type. Longbow Nullifiers have no perception benefit, but they do have an
aura that lowers/suppresses Stealth a bit when you get close to one -
this sometimes means that other mobs in a group can see you sooner than
you'd expect even though the Nullifier hasn't actually detected you yet.
You can see that effect in the attributes monitor for stealth (radius IS
reduced), and even test it in Bloody Bay (with Nullies near Turrets - which
do have +perception).
Brutes (in PvP) also have this effect in some of their powers (RttC is one).
I have tested this effect with my Brute friend in Warburg. -
Quote:In part for situations like yours, while a support account can/will be /associated/ with a regular PlayNC account, it is still seperate. Go ahead to http://help.ncsoft.com, and use ask a question (and register if/when prompted to). Thanks for the quick responses and information, I'll call them and see what the deal is.
Hope you resolve it soon.
And in the case of a chargeback, the only time I've known them to reverse the ban is if you were using PayPal and Paypal initiated the chargeback. -
Technician Naor is called a 35-40 contact because the arcs he offers exist in that range - however not all of a contact's arcs exist for the contact's whole range. Mole point bravo is 37-40 arc. Another example is many of the epic AT contacs have arcs for several level ranges. So when looking up who has an arc check the arc's range, not just the contact's.
-
Quote:Biggest example of this : "Talk to Perez Park Security Chief" - autocompleting this mission merely moves it onto the "Defeat X of Y Group in Perez Park" that the Security Chief gives you instead of moving you straight to "Return to Contact"Actually you CAN auto-complete them. But there's a catch. You can only complete ONE of them that way, you still have to manually complete the rest.
So if you auto-complete the Base A mission, you still have to run the Base B and Base C missions normally.
See :Quote:To those who say there is no need for all missions to be auto-completeable, what if one of those is bugged?
In my opinion, every mission should either be timed or auto-completeable so that we never need a petition to get past a bug.
And so there will always be some missions you need to petition for. -

The lost xp is due to someone "not on your team" dealing damage to the mobs. Same as if two teams of players jump in on the same group of npcs. As long as you don't sit back and let confused mobs do ALL the damage/killing, you will indeed get the lion's share of XP.

Quote:The 100K is live now - the issue is it goes away if the praetorian leaves. This change will make it so the prestige is only ever granted once (not an issue for praetorians already in an sg) and so when they leave the prestige does not leave. What happens in I19 to Praetorians that are already in Supergroups? Do those SGs just get 100k bumps?
Also, will there ever be a system to automatically pay rent as it becomes due, instead of having to truck someone over to Galaxy or Oakes every couple weeks?
