That's a tough one.
I see Green Lantern as a hybrid of two ATs: Controller/Blaster
I'd have to do some research on Mids to figure that out.

My 50s: 3 scrappers, 2 tankers, 1 blaster, 1 defender, 1 controller, 1 warshade, 1 stalker, 1 brute, 1 corruptor, 1 widow, 1 dominator, 1 mastermind (on Liberty)
Current project
Either Force Field/Energy Blast Defender or (if you wanted a balance more towards offense) Energy Blast/Sonic Resonance Corruptor. Hopefully in the future there will be the Force Field option for Corruptors as well, although with a lack of a strong offensive boost it will not be a very strong Corruptor Set, IMHO.
A Human Form Peacebringer would also be very close to Green Lantern.
If you are looking more for the Green Lantern type that makes things out of his ring and has them fight for him, an Illusions/Force Field Controller would also be a good option.
Note you would have to recolor the powers, but you'd probably want to pick a color other than green anyway so as not to get too close to copyright territory. (Although the color scheme of my namesake is no concidence, BTW. Neither is the fact that he is a FF/Rad Defender...)

As far as the OP question,a Energy/energy blaster might work as well.

Another option: Gravity/FF or Grav/Rad controller. It is too bad that you can't color the Propel items Green, but with all the creation of items by GL, Propel kind of fits. Plus the various controls from Gravity seem consistant with GL. He usually tries to capture rather than blast.
Grav/Rad works since it colors everything green already. Grav/FF would need the bubbles colored green. And just think . . . Singularity could be the Battery.
Some kind of Gravity dominator might work, too.

Years ago, Marvel sued NC Soft over copies of Marvel characters that could be created in this game. The parties settled, but any lawsuit is expensive in time and money. It appears that NC Soft probably would have won, but NC Soft still has a duty to try to stop trademark violations.

I have a number of GL-ish toons. Illusion / Force Field troller is the most accurate I've come up with, though the Peacebringer w/ no shape shifting is good too.
Besides which, Kheldians ARE the Green Lantern Corps, they're this universe's version of "alien forces joining with humans to fight evil". Why make a Green Lantern (TM) when there's a perfectly good Cosmic Hero concept in this game?
The shape changing is new, certainly, but as mentioned, you can go pure Human Form if you want to.
As for a Blaster or Dominator, while they're certainly options, I personally balk at the idea of a Green Lantern concept that cannot use his power defensively. Yes, you can restrain foes for damage mitigation, but Green Lantern puts up shields. It's one of the primary uses of his power.
To each his own, though. Some people don't like the concept of sacrificing what they think of as overwhelmingly strong firepower for defensive capability. Which is fine, that's what Blasters and Dominators are for. 
I'd say a Gravity/Force Field Controller or a Gravity/Energy Assault Dominator would best fit a Lantern-esque character. I'm leaning towards the latter.
Take Propel either way. 
If you absolutely hate Gravity, then you could probably make things work using appropriately colored Electricity, Ice, Fire or Earth...

I have a Gravity/Energy Assault dom in Praetoria whose powers are solar in nature, with yellow/orange colored Energy Assault. Fun concept, but man, I'm finding it hard to level her. I'm hoping that will improve as she gains levels.

Detention Field is quite useful, but could still use some tweaking. That's not a conceptual issue, though, and conceptually it fits quite readily.

If you wanted to make a character like Green Lantern, what would the AT and power sets be? Notice, I said like, not an exact copy.
Superman? Easy. Invulnerability / Super Strength Tanker.
Batman? Easy. Martial Arts / Ninjitsu Stalker.
Wonder Woman? Probably a Broad Sword / Invulnerability Scrapper
But I'm drawing a blank on Green Lantern.
