Ok this isnt a complaint at anyone or any group of players or anything like that, so dont take it anyway personally but...
I have been playing CoX in the EU for many a year now, moved over to the USA servers due to low populations in the EU and was really getting into the game again - a lot of fun to be had..
Then MA comes along and the farming that many knew would happen. Now, I dont care if people farm or pl or both, its up to them, but what I do care about is when its so damn hard now to get a team that firstly isnt doing AE missions, or if they are arent doing lvl 54 boss farms. Its madness. So many in Atlas just looking for great xp.
So we have heard about nerfs of certain critter types, and now... badges.. For heavens sake, no one really cares that much about loosing some badges - if no one has them you cant show off for having them so doesnt really matter, and the majority of people seem to do AE farms/missions for xp or inf/prestige.
So whats an easier way to deal with it... Come on devs... CoX was built with mobs already, they consisted of a boss or two, lts and then minions - why are the devs allowing people to create missions with mobs built solely of bosses.... Change that surely.... Yes people will pl and farm, nothing much is being done about it, and I dont care if they do, what I would love to see is people playing the game through the zones, teams that dont complain when they dont get 6-10k xp per kill and level twice or more in a mission....
and do we really need an auto sk system on created missions, low levels are playing lvl 40 missions and lvl 50 missions, on the back of a team that can actually hit. Turn it back to having to sk
Bring COX back please
Now I know someone will disagree. Cool, its all about peoples opinions, express them, maturely and for once lets not let this go into the gutter.. Thanks

Waaa Waaaa. People aren't teaming with me because they want to farm instead. Cry me a freakin river.
You DO care that people are farming because they aren't around to serve YOUR needs. This argument is one of the most selfish ones against farming. Farmers are doing their thing and not expecting anything from anyone. But anti-farmers are expecting the farmers to stop what they are doing and serve their wants instead. It's total crap.
And the devs are handling this stupidly. How many people were really going to leave the game over farming? Now compare that to the number that are leaving due to the nerfs and threats of punitive actions. Smart move devs!

This is the complete opposite of the obvious reality. If AE farms were left unchecked, people would have left in droves. Farmers would get bored of doing meows over and over and quit. Non-farmers, frustrated at the complete inability to get a non-farming team and that there's no point to running regular content when exploits give much better rewards, would have also quit. Newbies would come to a boring, repetitive grindfest and end up with 50s that they have no idea how to play, and quit in frustration.
Instead, we got a few people ragequitting, and an awful lot of people sticking around just to complain on the forums. -

Diverting the joke... Its ROGUE. Secondly, its the same thing.. but we've all just about settled on CoX or Co*.
[/ QUOTE ]
But the joke is why the thread was created. Red side=Blue side gone rouge.

I think Going Rogue should be re-named
City of Heroes: Heroes Gone Wild!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm telling you, we'd get so many more people that way. -
And if you wanna get into PvP, 50's as good a place as any to start. Recipes might make it actually worthwhile now.

Hello,

Welcome back!

NOT A BIG FAN OF:
* common salvage costing an arm and a leg, thanks to bleep-heads trying to manipulate the market.
[/ QUOTE ]
No ebil marketeering is necessary to explain the price increase.
AE missions don't generate salvage. AE missions are really popular. Supply of common salvage plummeted, The price of common salvage went up as a result.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course, you can get random drops of common salvage for a mere 8 tickets. I've been cleaning up. -
Now, I'm pretty new to this PVP thing, but I've had a taste of it in RV with my only 50, a BS/SR, and liked it. Maybe because I seem to have a decent primary for it, what with the big chunks of damage in a short time. Then again, Laser Beam Eyes came in rather handy too. And I've actually have the 'chance for disorient' proc work against a player foe as well, clearly beginner's luck.
That said, what are the basic do's and don'ts for building and using a BS/SR for PVP? I figure I should skip Whirling Sword and most other AoE powers, and try to soft-cap defense ASAP, but is there anything else I should know? -
For the record, Tech Wings go very well with Vanguard costumes.
I wish we had a 'thighs' costume slot, character legs look so bare. -
If you really can't think of anything you want to do in the game anymore, taking a break might actually be a good idea. Let it run out and don't resub just yet, spend the money on a movie or something, try some other games, maybe pop back to check out the next big expansion.
We can't force you to have fun, and you probably can't force yourself. Don't let yourself get burned out on the game. Maybe you find you'll miss it. -
Now those look sweet with the right costume. I've given them a try in the MA with the Vanguard outfit, now I wanna take my Blaster to some mothership raids...
300k at level 8? You're doing well! I see much wealth and prosperity in your future! -
At the level cap, you'll probably find yourself tweaking your build a lot, seeing if you can get the most out of it to fight the most formidable enemies in the game. You have lots of time and money to IO your character out, and you'll start getting purple drops that you can either use or sell to fund that.
You have access to four costume slots (five after Halloween), as well as capes, auras, and any other costume part you can now afford, so you may well find yourself spending hours messing with your costumes.
Level 50 characters in this game are pretty damn badass, really. The devs never want to raise the level cap because they feel you can already do anything at 50, and they may be right- you have a lot of freedom there. It can get kinda scary. Your progression isn't counted by a pink wheel anymore, you can set whatever goals for yourself you want. -
I expect them to take all day, if they don't I'm pleasantly surprised and have more time to fly around aimlessly.

Which is exactly what a banning is.
Using your analogy, the person in question got kicked out of the club for dancing too fast.
[/ QUOTE ]
...haha, no. -
It's not theft, you don't own anything in the game. You pay NCsoft for the privelege of using it, and the EULA means they have the right to do whatever they want with what you make.
The in-game moderators made some mistakes. Big deal. People make mistakes, they can be rectified. Positron didn't manually delete every character, some people got caught in datamining oversights, and should be able to petition support to have it rectified. -
Most of those in-error deletions should have been fixed with a single petition and some investigation. It's an honest mistake, and complaining is pointless.
-
Unless there's some kind of missions, content or whatever in these places, they will be completely deserted 99% of the time. Look at police stations. Cool, but nobody ever goes into them except to talk to a detective, or to log off for the Day Job.
-
At first glance, I really don't think the devs want to tie any powersets as closely to Origins as this set is.
Assault Rifle can be a high-tech gun, natural skill, or a magic morphing gun. Something explicitly described as 'Magic Wand' is rather limiting. -

-A stage and an NPC band to go with them, either one for each side or one in the center and we'd get different bands made up of different enemy groups or sometimes just an original band.

-While not exactly a Pocket D change, more dance emotes, please? Preferably ones that don't make us look like retards.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not exactly the best way to convey your opinion, there.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, I figure that's the best way of putting it. The dance emotes look embarrassing. -
I actually kind of like the first idea of a task force exclusive temp power. Would be nice to feel like the greatest heroes in the city are actually giving us some assistance as we do stuff for them.
-
Heroside content needs major revamps, full stop.
Make contact missions in the same zone. Slash and burn the hunts. Get rid of the 'Talk To' missions full stop. -
Not all of the combos are that great. Some don't bother with Empower and Weaken in high levels since they're static values.
-
We all win if we have a forum where we can have threads like this.

Is it too late to say that the OP is the best at what he does?

As I said, Going Rogue. -
Get a second build and get on an overnight lava/red gem farm, from what I hear those badge numbers are insane.
-
Well, compared to making entirely new powersets or Power Customisation, I suppose profileration is easier. But not necessarily easy. This game is damn hard to program, and then they have to balance the set so it fits on the AT without being overpowered or underpowered, as well as making changes to that there's no powers duplicated by an Ancillary/Patron pool.
-
I just don't know anymore, the devs have been working so famn FAST! 0.0
