Non-Cor healer for villain pvp
[ QUOTE ]
What kind of build would work well for the concept of surviving and keeping my team alive? I am trying to think outside the box.

Hmmm, well... i'll let someone else with more experience in the new PvP mechanics handle this. i agree that you do need help with this, though.

I have been healing for my villain supergroup as a cor in pvp, but I get taken out very quickly and then I am a help to no one.

What is your current team makeup? What level are you PvPing at? Is this arena or zone?
Being the *only* healer/buffer/debuffer on a PvP team means you are going to get farmed (if you opponent has half a brain that is). If your "teammates" expect you to be the only buffer on the team then screw them...roll a SS/Fire brute.

Is there another class that can take a pounding and use the medicine powers to heal thier SV?
For example, a brute with medicine or a mastermind with personal force field? What kind of build would work well for the concept of surviving and keeping my team alive? I am trying to think outside the box.

Mastermind with Pain Domination. Sounds like it'd fit the bill.
Stealth-capped Stalker with Aid Other.

Assassin's Heal!
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Wouldn't that be Executioner's Heal?
And I mainly picked Stalker for the stealth cap... they need to be within 10' (or a VEAT) to target you.

My pvp team has lots of builds for pvp and they can change the make up of the team on the drop of a dime, and they do. So its entirely random.
Mastermind wont work, its squishy and pets cant keep up with me when I am trying to keep up with team, that and in RV they draw longbow aggro and die.
I had not thought of stalker though, I will put that feather in my cap. Any suggestions on what type of stalker primary and secondary as I have not yet played stalker?
Not a big Stalker player but EM/Nin?
Know /Willpower was used for a while as well.

/Nin has always been popular for stalkers. Some reasons:-
a) it's a def set, and def sets have always been regarded as better for stalkers than res-based sets
b) Nin has fewer key powers than Super Reflexes (two toggles versus three, etc.)
c) Nin has a self-heal built in (SR doesn't, of course)
EM was, at one point, the PvP stalker set - indeed even the PvE stalker set - because of its single-target emphasis and massive damage output. Since the adjustment to Energy Transfer, it's become somewhat less popular.
Some folks like the ranged capabilities of Spines, though I vaguely recall a recent change that made the ranged damage less attractive. Not sure on that one, though...someone correct me if I'm wrong?

Please do not make a Stalker for the purpose of healing your team. That is by far the most stupid way to use a Stalker in PvP.
Stalkers are killers, not healers.
You can use support powers to help out your team occasionally, but you will not keep them alive from a determined team. Trying to do so will only get you farmed. Trying to use Medicine pool from a Stalker will not save them because it is slow and interuptable and has a short range. You would be better served on a Stalker by letting your team takes the hits to move in and take out the opposition with AS.
I don't know much about PVP, but I found a Mastermind in Bodyguard mode can actually be pretty damn tough if they don't run around too fast, and their pets make taking them out hard. Your team could use you as a lynchpin of sorts, maybe.
I do believe Corruptors get the best buff and healing modifiers redside, so if you can make a Corr that can somehow take a few hits, that'd probably be the best idea. Masterminds can support too, but their base numbers are much lower.

A Pain Domination Corruptor with perma-World of Pain and a patron shield would have a base 31.25% resistance to all and +200% unslotted regeneration, 2 ranged heals, and could slot for ranged defense if they were really bored.
But that's not as funny as Assassin's Heal.

Or wait for Going Rogue, get an Illusion/Emp troller.
Okay I didnt realise that the medicine heal was interruptable, which is quite dumb for a heal.
Hrmm...does it have to be a villian? Because a Peacebringer might be sort of what you're looking for. They get a Heal Other type power in their secondary thats not to horrible and it can't be interrupted.
Plus if the other side starts to target you, just shift into Dwarf and try to take the hits and heal yourself up.
Yeah its a villain only group.

How do people type without reading?
All that is planned fails. All that is born dies.
All that is built crumbles. This will always be true.
But memories remain, And that is beautiful.
Just had a little thought come into my head, I might make an ALTBUILD just for this purpose.
Make a Stealth capped stalker. Get Aid Other. Wait for duels. Aid other, Aid Other, Aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other, aid other...and for emphasis....Aid Other. So after the most lulzy toon beats the best PVP tank on the server...
"HOW THE HELL DO THE VILLZ KEEP WINNING DUELS????!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!???????///??/??!!/1?!?!?/11/!/?!1?!"
Then the stalker comes out of hide, heals another villain and says "ASSASSINS HEAL!!!!"
Yes yes, I am definitly making an alt build for this.

It wasn't intended as an "in combat" pool to begin with. You can still fire off the heal very easy when under fire, especially if you slot interrupt reduction; however, you'll be "locked" out of doing anything else for about 4 seconds since that's the animation time of the heals (you can still move, you just can't use other powers until that 4 seconds are up).
