  1. I've also got a foxboy. A pyromaniac foxboy. With a flamethrower.

When the hell are we gonna get fox tails?
  2. We kinda already have Melee/Buff with SoAs. Along with Ranged/Defense. They fill a pretty unique role in the game really, they're possibly one of the best designed ATs.

I'd like it if they made a Nictus AT- even if it was identical to a Warshade, except with some different plotlines and created on villainside. Could we really complain?

I think the devs have said they don't want to make new EATs unlocked by reaching 50, and they only did it for SoAs to make things even. What other methods could be used to unlock a EAT?
  3. Most of the music kinda blurs together for me by now, honestly. It doesn't help that I don't have any taste or discrimination with music.
  4. This is one of the reasons the Halloween Event is awesome.
  5. Mez Resistance is kinda like ghetto Mez Protection, and combined with the new feature of defensive toggles not turning off when you get mezzed (though they get temporarily disabled), it makes life a bit easier for squishies. I think they should use that more often, myself.

In the case of Knockback, I believe Magnitude also effects the distance the foe gets knocked back. Knockdown is the lowest Magnitude of Knockback. This is also why Force Bolt is so much fun.
  6. If anything, you'd need LESS IOs. One of the good things about em is that a lot of them give slightly higher bonuses than SOs, and then set bonuses get taken into account.

In Quick Recovery and Stamina's case, I usually 4-slot Stam with generic SOs/IOs, a Chance for +Endurance, and a regular Performance Shifter: Endurance IO for a little set bonus. Every bit counts.

    4. Getting to level 50 in 150 hours is normal now, vs. getting to level 50 in 500 hours (250 spent at level 37+) is normal, with 300 hours being fast. There's a lot of time spent tweaking level 50's these days.

For a brief period, people were getting to 50 in 8 hours. When this exploit was fixed, they complained.

Debt has become ridiculously trivial even since I started 2 years ago. There's acually an option to turn off XP gain.
  8. GMs need a lot of tweaking, that's for sure. Still, you always have the advantage in that you can recruit from any level range, and can have multiple teams if necessary.

The main reason a lot of people fight them is for the badge, or just for the fun of fighting a building-sized monster.
  9. Pick your targets. Shoot the enemies that the Scrapper and Tank don't have busy. Get strong melee foes away from the squishies (including yourself). Knock them onto the floor, into corners, wherever it's to your advantage.

If people still complain, then the problem's with them, not you.
  10. I still think game knowledge is one of the most important parts. Knowing what your powers do, let alone what those of your allies and enemies can do, is fundamental into using them properly, and forming successful tactics and adapting to changing situations.

Game experience also helps. Task Forces are much easier with people who have done them before. There's a reason people look down on powerlevellers, especially newbie ones.
  11. This game has a lot of things left over from when it was a very different game, made with a different mindset and vision. Most absurdities you see are probably artifacts like that.
  12. I can play it from Australia. You'll be fine. And maybe in the same time zone, play on Justice to meet Aussies.

Incidentally, a lot of Koreans play MMOs in internet cafes, ones stereotyped as 'Korean-style grindfests'. NCsoft is actually a Korean-based company. Depending on where you go, you might find City of Heroes in some places. You might have to ask.
  13. Don't bother.

It ends in nothing but arguments and headaches.
  14. All the (remaining) powerlevelled 50s would be hilarious to fight.
  15. There really are too many AE buildings. It's not like many of the ones blueside besides Atlas and Talos really see any use anyway.
  16. If NCsoft doesn't need to have the government take over and force them to make good games, I'm pretty sure they're doing okay.
  17. I think having a better understanding of the game is a key to improving your performance in-game. Once you know what powers make a good build, what strengths and weaknesses your enemies and allies have, you can take advantage of that. And if you have the brains and patience to figure out IO sets and min/max a bit, you'll probably improve... probably.
  18. You should try soloing with it.

Though I put the -resist proc in my first Rad Blast attack, will that help?
  19. As we said, the enemies will get much more interesting- and more difficult- as you level up. The reason they're simple now is because low-level toons don't have the powers to deal with more advanced enemies.

Go fight some Tsoo and you'll see what I mean.
  20. The Kronos Titan seems to be fairly rarely fought, probably since he's a mission ambush and all and there's other places you can get his badge. When I got the arc, I spent a while preparing for him.

If ur like me, the only skilz you need is to be able to play while intoxicated

    [/ QUOTE ]
    That's more a gift.

I think the most essential skill in this game may be working together and coordinating with other people. Know how to keep your teammates alive, and how you can combine your powers to take down enemies faster and better.

    Knowing is half the battle!
  22. Anyone posted about a drunk controller on a Hess TF yet? Sorry about that.

Carnies are one of the more seriously creepy groups in the game. Forget the women, has anyone taken a good look at the men? Each has his entire back covered with whip marks. Vanessa must get her jollies in some decidedly non-teen rated ways.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you have not followed the arcs, the truth behind the male carnies may be far more creepy than you know.

The particular clue you're referencing has puzzled me, on and off. I don't know that all--or even many--of them are like that. I did go so far as to pose a question to Castle about it, and received the response, "I'm not sure on the fiction behind it, but I am assured by the writers that Strongmen are not undead."

Also, some guys just aren't cut out to be Strongmen.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Let's just say the Ghost Slaying Axe does extra damage against Strongmen, and there's an arc that has you figure out why.
  24. I have a renegade catgirl space marine from Mars.
