Some of the music in this game...
personally I love the music. The Aeon City bg music is great.

CoV music is pretty awesome, surprisingly catchy for an MMO.
CoH's zones on the other hand... ugh. Makes me want to kill something, and not in a good way.
Paragon Unleashed, Unleash Yourself!
Ehh... I mostly listen to my Last.FM station through the Steam web browser. That said, it still feels odd to play the game with the speakers off... like I need to hear the sounds of my powers firing.
Yeah, some of the CoV music is pretty nice. It's just too bad that all of the tracks are so short. The CoH music kinda sucks, though. Although, my preferences are backwards for the menu music - I don't mind the default 'hero' menu music, but can't stand the 'villain' music - too loud and intrusive. Whenever I'm rolling up a villain alt, I always have to turn down the speakers.

As far as I know, they contracted a third-party to write all of the music for the game. Some of it isn't even exclusively licensed to NCsoft, and you'll hear it sometimes in commercials and television shows. I do wish that they'd contract whoever did it to release a soundtrack, with full-length versions (i.e. not the short clips) of the music.
Also, I wish they would get them to do a whole bunch more music and periodically rotate it around. After a while, repeatedly entering common neighborhoods gets monotonous. I like the music, but unfortunately, I keep it muted because I've heard it so many times.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)
I remember most of the sewer music from Armored Core and some other stuff from Brahma Force.Maybe thats why I really like this game, subliminal victory messages from past games that I really really enjoyed. Im gonna post this anyway but I think it makes me look like I wear a tinfoil hat. Oh well tinfoil is in season.
The music in the game is awesome. But once I heard the sounds of huge bags of aluminum cans crashing around (MM Bots) I have turned all sound off in the game. I don't remember now what its like playing the game with sound!
all the music in sirens call is perfect, i think if my boss played it quietly at work i'd double productivity.
another one i like is the area in sharkhead by the mines behind the hospital, i cant remember the name.
all this is of course off of memory as i have had sound off with my own music for the most part, for the last couple years.
edit: oh i forgot, recluse's propaganda speech in grandville. one of the best little touches to the game in a long time.
I don't like any other music besides the Atlas Plaza song. It doesn't feel heroic/villainous. There is a porno commercial that uses the Blyde Square song in the early mornings on Comedy Central.
I normally play with the game muted, but i have to say i love the little tune they play in "the Crescent" in Brickstown. Only music i like from this game, but i must say it's great.

Is actually pretty catchy
Hell Forge in Sharkhead is particularly catchy.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who actually occasionally listens to some of this game's soundtrack, right?

Nope: my personal favorite can be found in the RWZ in Heartbreak Ridge. Its so tragic and.... really cool.
For some reason I also like the Bell Point music in IP; unfortunately IP music seems to be disabled these days. This track can also be heard in PI, but I forget the exact neighborhood.
Most hated: that thing you hear right after you get off the tram in Talos. I guess because that is the main WW I use, I hear this WAY too much.
I'd really like all of the music in the game avaliable with each track in its entireity.
I find most of the music in Sharkhead as offensive to my ears as the scenery of the zone is to my eyes... but Sharkhead's supposed to be a horrible industrial hellhole, so I guess it fits.
My favourites would be the music that plays during bank heist missions and the music as you walk into Spider City - that was a big moment for me when I got Nightshade to 40, and the big dramatic soundtrack, combined with the awesome look of Grandville, really had me thinking alright, I'm in the big leagues now.
Also, the sombre version of the Atlas Park theme you hear around the Longbow base in Bloody Bay is very effective.
Sewer music. Never gets old.
You know which music I'm talking about.
Fan of the sewer music, and the evil march like music you hear rarely (black line helicopter in mercy) but like billions of others have said i wish they'd do such a good job of that in the other instances, like the office version for example.
I have had the music turned off since the first week, and still get annoyed when it plays in some missions only in particular spots.

But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

Agreed. Totally awesome.

Some zones have good music, most don't.
Personally, I'm rather fond of Green Nugget (Bloody Bay). It's got a catchy tune to it. And most of the neighborhoods in Terra Volta too.

i've heard the pocket D music in one and i think he's referring to that track, the other...i dunno! *runs off to the adult store to read backs of movie covers*
this being my area IRL, i only love the 'going down the ramps'
in the sewer mishes.
not to mention that they are in the sfx, not in the soundtracks...
Nice try.

it's still music and not "freem" so i think it counts.
I have to admit, the sewer music is particularly good. I always get annoyed when it disapears upon reaching the second room.
