It's not that crap. It does quite a bit of damage, assuming you don't sacrifice a tier 1. The damage it does depends on the tier of the henchman you blow up. Bonus if you play Zombie/Traps: Detonator leaves a corpse for you to Soul Extraction from. Lead your Lich into melee, blow him up, and let your Wraith go nuts.

Although I would say it's still pointless to buy enhancements before level 12. TOs do crap, whereas DOs (and their level 15 IO equivalents) are at least noticeable.

My Earth/Earth dom had a host of problems even getting him down. Of course, the lack of a full domination bar was a part of the problem, but add that on top of a melee heavy set with a bunch of powers that only work on the ground and... well, it's hard playing keep-away, I'll say that much.

Ohh... a TF I haven't done...
*sees possible range of dates... notices his full schedule during those days*
...Damnit. -
Quote:It's not a power... it just happens. I did that mission with my dominator, Domination was roaring (because double-stacked domination holds seem to be the only way to hold Arachnos bosses... don't get me started on the Lost...), she was trapped in Stone, I was pounding her... and her health went to full multiple times during the fight. At least she was held, thus making it just take more time and endurance, but if they really needed to do something to give a Boss-that-was-an-AV some extra oomph, I don't think that was the way to do it.Possibly related, possibly not, but has anyone else noticed in the level 25-30 Hero morality mission that Nocturne has an instantaneous healing power? As in there doesn't even seem to be an animation associated with it. She just suddenly recovers a huge portion of her hit points and it happens several times during the fight.

I'll admit to having done it once, but it was with a guy who didn't quite understand the concept of NPCs you talk to within the mission. Hell, I had a tip mission that involved Kelly Uqua in some manner, and this brute was so hopped up on Fury that he was disappointed that the boss round the corner conned friendly. Went through the dialog, and suddenly, little Brute was back to smashing. Later, we did a tip that he had, and he was so confused when he was told to talk to Bocor.

Maybe to you it's an extravagance, and it does really hurt my bank account, but I'd be so disorganized when it comes to my classes without my original Droid I don't know if I'd ever survive college.
I will say this, for the topic creator's sake: I honestly think the Incredible is a better buy as far as phones on Verizon go over the Droid 2 and Droid X. Although Verizon's getting their version of the Galaxy S in early September, and that looks amazing, as well. -

Quote:True, but on the other hand:To be fair, that's the ranking for soundtracks, which aren't terribly high sellers and don't face a lot of competition.
Hell, I bought the soundtrack, and I haven't even played the game yet. (Stupid timed exclusivity...) I'm a big fan of Anamanaguchi's work.
[Edit:] Not quite the same thing on the iTunes front, but there is still this:

Quote:Destroyers in general are overpowered for that level! My lv. 12 Earth/Earth dominator has a Destroy that he hates at every critter tier? Minion? Blast Masters, damn burn patches. At least I can throw one of them inside a big rock. Lieutenant? Hombres. Bastards have such high mez resists that you can't hold them for any significant time without Domination or Power Boost. Bosses? Well, we've all express our rage with the Big Dogs. Foot Stomp, Integration (so my dom is helpless in the "making them helpless" category), other hard hitting SS moves, two versions of Hurl to alternate. I have to drop Quicksand and kite them just to have a chance.I will say that some of mobs could do with being toned down a tad.
The Destroyer bosses one-shot any of the first tier MM minions with footstomp...yeah that needs to be toned down a tad. Over all the Destroyer bosses are a massive pain, they're incredibly hard to mez, have high damage both single target and AoE. Compared to other bosses of the same level range they completely outclass them.
And yes agreed, there needs to be difficulty slider NPCs in Praetoria. What may be fine and soloable for a brute is not going to be so good for say a Controller. -
Seriously, I was moving my Rogue over to the heroic side, and I got this as one of my tips... I'm a little scared...
Also, why do people always default to drug-related names when making up forum names for internet trolls? Besides the obvious. -
I remember one of the Rogue tips have you helping Hardcase. Boy, was that a tough one to lean torward Rogue, especially since it showed how stupid Hardcase can be. Binding a demon to fight the wailers... and he didn't think that could go wrong?
-
That has to be a bug... I was slotting up Foce waaaaay back when.

If it's obvious that my pets suffer the zoning bug because they aren't moving, I just /release_pets. BOOM! They're dismissed, and I can still resummon.

So, I launched the updater recently, and it started verifying a patch. After trying to apply it, I got a pop-up that said, "Error opening file c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\city of heroes/tempfile". (It also mentioned something about possibly not having permission or running out of space, both which can't be true as I have a good 11GB of space left and am on my admin account.)
I'm really confused as to why this would be. Steam problem? (I doubt it.) Couldn't be hardware... what's going on? -
I'm tempted to move my guys from Guardian to Triumph, since I have guys there already and the main reason that I was on Guardian to begin with, my old SG, has since abandoned that server. But now, I'm not too sure... kinda attached to the community on Guardian. Maybe I'll spread my load between the two servers... I dunno.

That cake looks positively heart-stopping...

Well, if there are no normal missions that take place in Pocket D, I doubt they'd let you make an AE mish that takes place there.

So, I figured I'd re-up my account in time for Going Rogue. I noticed they added "Escort to Object" tech, which is cool, albeit it doesn't work exactly like the missions the devs made beforehand. (I have to click the object and bring the escort there? That makes no sense!) But anyway, I tried my hand with them. I set up a CoT mission in an Orangebagel. I set up the escort in the middle and the object in the back, y'know, so the player has an excuse to go through the whole map. Somehow, though... the escort and object end up in the same room. Is this a bug? Because the preview map pretty clearly marks the end objects and the middle ones, and none of those are together.

Uh, no... that must be you. Yeah, Brutes SMASH real good, but that's only because of fury. Forge works like Fury and any other damage buff in that it only works off of the base damage, and with brutes, that's pretty low. IIRC, Forging a brute is equivalent to adding 25% to his Fury (less for the MM version!)... nice, but it's really not much. Seriously, there's a reason Brutes have a +750% damage cap... Fury takes up at most 200% of that, and Forge is only a 50% buff (again, IIRC).
Really, the good Forge targets are VEATS, Stalkers, and Doms (all have a base damage multiplier close to 1), then Corruptors (.75), then Brutes (.6), then Masterminds (.5).
Again, though, this is all me trying to recall what I read on Paragon Wiki. -
