Some of the music in this game...

I think nearly all the music and sound effects in this game are licensed from a third-party sound library, the audio equivalent of clip art. So don't be surprised if you see it elsewhere. A lot of it may be far from new.

All of it really blows in my opinion. It is the same for me in almost any game. I would prefer silence. It is really silly when you think about it to get a theme song when you enter a new neighborhood, although everytime I drive into my own neighborhood the air is magicall filled with the strains of Disco Inferno. It's strange now that I think of it.

Exceptional in-game music, in my actually opinion (pretty serious, formerly professional musician here...FWIW). I don't always have it enabled, since I'd hear it over and over if it were on all the time, but I turn it on periodically, and really enjoy it. I make music on the same computer I play the game on, so I'm listening on pro-level studio monitors...sounds pretty damn good!

"And in this moment, I will not run.
It is my place to stand.
We few shall carry hope
Within our bloodied hands."

I like CoV's music much more than CoH, but by and large I leave it off to keep background noise to a minimum while talking on TS or Skype, or while watching a movie or something. Generally, it's sort of an annoying distraction, particularly while going through the city and hearing only tiny snippets because you're following a neighborhood boundary or something.

My favourite in game is probably from the Double Down neighborhood in St. Martial.

Also, if you've bought the Personal Soundtrack Shirt from ThinkGeek, the "Super Hero Rescue" track that comes loaded with the sound pack is the Atlas Park theme, though with slightly different instrumentation.

My story arcs: #2370- Noah Reborn, #18672- The Clockwork War, #31490- Easy Money

Sartre once said, "Hell is other people." What does that make an MMO?

New Haven and Aeon City. I could listen to those two for... forever.

My favorite is Williams Square in Founders Falls, even after 5 years it still makes me catch my breath. I would love to hear the full track.

I want a COH Soundtrack SO BAD! I would pay money for that. C'mon, Devs, that's a microtransaction waiting to happen!

PS: I also want a full size wall poster.

Uhm... I think you can download the soundtracks for free, there's an FTP folder with all of them in it.

The trick is remembering where it is, which is where it all falls down for me, of course.

Hm... I don't recognize a lot of that music in the CoV folder... it would be SWEET to have them somewhere in the game, though.

Most of the music kinda blurs together for me by now, honestly. It doesn't help that I don't have any taste or discrimination with music.

For some reason I also like the Bell Point music in IP; unfortunately IP music seems to be disabled these days.

I noticed that too! Well, to be more accurate, I noticed that the names of the neighborhoods in Independence Port don't pop up anymore. I have the music muted and listen to my own music. But a couple weeks ago I was randomly re-exploring zones, and noticed none of the neighborhood names popped up in IP. I didn't think of it at the time, but I suppose it's something that should be bugged in game!

I like the track when you first zone into Sharkhead from the ferry.

Being a metalhead at heart it appeals to me. Also being a guitarist I appreciate the fact that the guitar riffs in that track are a lot more intricate than they sound at first (I zoned back and forth a few times to listen to it closer)

I dig the track by the Arachnos pilot in Breakout too.

One of the only tunes in the game I actually enjoy, and that's because of the 70's vibe.

Spider City gets my vote as "holy crap YES." As someone else mentioned... it's very, very villanous. Like, "grandiose" villainous. Combine that with the overall feel of Grandville and you've got a winner!

Yes, please. It is the main reason I have turned off the music in the game. But then, after playing awhile, I'd rather listen to my choice of music from my stereo anyway.
