Well the army has decided to send me to Korea, and I was wondering if I can stil play this game over there, I hope so

I know they launched the game in Korea but it failed

Also if I went to Europe I know they have their own game but could I still be on the same server/and toons I have now I would hate to have to start fresh

You should be able to play on the US servers using your same account from anywhere you have an internet connection that doesn't have an intolerable amount of network lag/latency.

Or blocking from certain addresses. Since players use the American servers from all around the world, I would imagine that if you don't have lag issues and no blockages, you're good to go.

And: >_>

I hope you stay safe while you're there.

I had no problems playing while I was over there, in fact the broadband I had in my apartment was better than what I have in the states.... Have fun

The Koreans do love their Online Gaming. I hear their connections are wicked fast.

I can play it from Australia. You'll be fine. And maybe in the same time zone, play on Justice to meet Aussies.

Incidentally, a lot of Koreans play MMOs in internet cafes, ones stereotyped as 'Korean-style grindfests'. NCsoft is actually a Korean-based company. Depending on where you go, you might find City of Heroes in some places. You might have to ask.

Yep I was there with my laptop a few weeks ago and COH played fine.

I've played from Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq, Korea shouldn't be an issue for you.

Just make sure you stay on the US servers.

I know how you feel it was my first tour and I was sent three months after getting married. I took German in high school, Spainish in college, and they sent me to Korea.

I imagine you can connect there as well as anywhere else. Might depend a little on where your stationed in Korea but that's just a guess on my part.

Korea can be a neat place, but get away from the "ville" and see the real country.
