    Few Questions

There's also Invention Tables, the thing required to make inventions, in the Vanguard base, and you can place them in your own supergroup base.

Or an underling, for that matter.
  3. Our IT guy reccomended Norton and my dad installed it, though I was skeptical since I've heard Norton is worse than some viruses. Is it still that bad?

Don't get us started on the CoV box and base raids.

It's not hard to make MA arcs for lowbies- just use lowbie enemies. Custom enemies are really better suited for 50 characters though, they're just too hard. I suppose the devs have to make sure farming won't be easy but the middle ground is hard to reach.
  5. I suppose they ask for a credit or game time card to make sure you got some way to keep your sub up and didn't steal the game box or something.

    Kill X mobs

Nah, if they revamped CoH and removed half the hunt missions, there would be /e dancing in the streets.
  7. CoX trial accounts were only brought in line with the MMO standards, blame gold farmers for that.
  8. I really only use first person when I want a closer look at the scenery.

Yeah, first person is pretty much a gimmick. Pity, I think it'd be kinda cool to control it like a FPS, let us see our hands!
  9. It's a fairly new option.

You can also wait to do it on another character, but that can be a pain.

I never said that was a bad thing.
  11. I hear Hamidon has unresistable KB attacks as well. Enough to send a rooted Granite tanker flying anyway.

You should see me when soloing my Kin/Rad. Sometimes I sing about it.
  13. Purples were pretty much made just for the elite tweak obsessives who missed having the 1337est gear in other games. They're very rare and very optional so the players who use them can have their ego boost without making the regulars feel left behind.
  14. Gratz on the name change, OP.

On another note, your situation is why it's reccomended to buy the latest boxed edition- they have all the updates at the time of release on the disc, so there's much less to download if you want to reinstall.
  15. I forgot, I already have the Supercollider, and put it to use.

And I have both a base crafting table and inventions table.

    Overalls?

I'd better get those sweet little hats with little customisable letters on them as well.

    Bad Mouthing CoH

Blpup, no offense dude, but it's okay, and in fact expected to be a little more verbose on the forums than you are in-game.

Of course, I have the opposite problem, and anyone frequenting Justice For All in off hours will know of both, but still.
  18. I logged onto test server and got five badges. This rocks.
  19. The Paragon City branch of Cybertech Laboratories has just 7 heroes to its name, and recently went under major renovations to make it more cost-effective, and because I finally clued up about how bases work. Having my own SG base really seems like the best idea with my incredibly erratic play hours and love of creativity.

Currently I have what I consider the basics and then some- two teleporters, an Inventions table, salvage and enhancement storage, a reclaimator, basic control and power facilities to run it all, and my most recent additions are a Holodisplay and Pillar of Ice and Flame.

I manage to raise a good deal of prestige through membership bonuses (though I don't like to pad them), occasional farming (I'm currently building a dedicated farm toon) and generally playing in SG mode all the time on every alt, I figure these days drops will make most of my inf.

Anyway, I'm currently considering that I've basically gotten all of the things I really want from a personal base, and wondering- what should I do next? I've been doing some furnishing since the place is mostly bare, but I rarely get guests. I currently have much more power than I need, plenty of slots left over for storage bins, and room for (I think) three more 4x4 rooms in the default base size. (I used to have the bigger one but downsized it to save space and money)

The theme of the base, as you might have guessed, is a science and tech research lab, and the Tech options in general fit the theme nicely. I figure the place being a bit cluttered would really only add to the theme, and I don't mind turning the base into a platforming challenge.
  20. I think Hamidon can knockback rooted Granite Tanks as well.

I've had the UXBs in the RWZ arc blow up on me and send me flying across the map. It's fun.
  21. They also slightly nerfed Freakshow XP (they were farmed for a long time before AE) just in case. Farmers get nerfed as a matter of course, but the effect generally isn't noticeable among non-farmers, despite what they say.

On the other hand, the server is known as 'Freedumb' for a reason.

Unless you play at very strange hours, I recommend giving Justice a shot. Us Aussies are in a roughly similar time zone to you and there's generally enough people playing that if you make an effort, you'll never be lacking a team.

    Only five? You're weird.
  24. Names can be generic'd for being offensive, and also for being a copyright infringement- don't go making a Wolverine clone in-game, Marvel already sued over that.
