That is correct, however you will be asked for a credit card number when you setup the account.

No, your free month is yours. You can remove your card under the 'billing' option in acct. mgmt.

This thing does confuses most of the ppl upgrading. I was confused too with this but in the end it works out great. welcome to the paragon city btw
I suppose they ask for a credit or game time card to make sure you got some way to keep your sub up and didn't steal the game box or something.
When I upgraded from trial, I just bought the game, it does come with a free month(because thats what I read)...right?
Cause if not I'm gonna be really pissed off, cause I wasted $22 CAD for nothing...
