  1. I used my accumulated points to get Beam Rifle, Barbarian pack, and Rocket Board. I'm saving the rest for later, to see what else comes out Real Soon Now™.

    Barbarian Set

I'm finding that the male belt is being retrofitted onto a lot of my tech heroes. Crazy.

    Beam Rifle Sale

Got it. I'm only level 6, but I love the first two powers so far.

  4. Thanks for the heads up, downloading now before the major surge hits later.

And good call (whomever it was) about power management. That's one of the reasons my gaming computers are "always on".

What the FrigginTaserHell is the difference? This new system is so friggin confusing that I don't even know what I'm getting, much less "need" to purchase.

  6. What does the loss of Galaxy mean to the Atlas Medallion? How does one acquire the badges currently in Galaxy?

And how is Atlas changing? Guess I'll see tomorrow...

The Reveal veteran power has done wonders for my Defogger OCD.

This is my perception, as well. Yes, I know some people really like redside, and I don't have an issue with that. But I don't. My one and only villain, created on day one of release, is only level 41 after all this time.

This was always my biggest complaint of the "new user experience". Yes, it was prettier, but starting out as GoateeBackstoryMan when you're new to the game was confusing.

Yes, as stated by many posters, the mobs were way more difficult, especially for people new to the game.

This. I ran one character through Praetoria to see it, then reverted to my standard new character process.

While I thought the writing was actually pretty good, and I loved the characters (and Resistance-speak), one item that really gated the team experience was the solo-only morality missions. You'd be cruising along on a team, and then have to break up to run these single-player missions. While the choices were an interesting mechanic, the team-killing aspect of them was a constant annoyance.

I personally have no desire to go back to/through Praetoria again. Which is a shame, after so much effort was put into it. But them's the breaks, I guess.

    This.

Although I admit to thinking about costume ideas while on the wall in the rock-climbing gym.

Not to call shenanigans, but unless you've been on the other side of this, which I am on a regular basis, you have no idea what "should be ample time". Some things cannot be realistically seen in a test environment. And, this might be a shock, but mere humans work at these companies and sometimes make mistakes, which must be corrected.

(Xbox LIVE went down =over the Christmas holidays= a few years ago. For several days. You have no idea what panic looks like until you've been through something like that.)

Well, I don't know that they =need= to be, but I'm another that would like them to be. On the other hand, my (admittedly ill-suited badger character) is really PROUD to have earned the third-level Healing badge with the frikkin tricorder. Not sure if I'll get any more, but that hasn't stopped me from trying.

  15. When there's POWER CUSTOMIZATION on your team, you get AWESOME AND CREATIVE NEW LOOKS AT POWERSETS.

Although sometimes you can be, "Really? That's what you chose?"

  16. I just logged in to Live to test this. You currently CANNOT use the scroll wheel to scroll through costume options in the character creator.

I am happy to know that this QoL change is coming!

Well, in this case, maybe we did. On review, almost all my members were plain 50s without any level shifts, without Lore pets, without Destiny opened up.
I know it's just anecdotal, but I see a wide desparity in 50's levels for iTrials. Even with the many, many I've run, I only =just= got my (counting) third level shift on my main grinder. The other three iTrial 50s I use don't even have their Alphas slotted yet.

People that run iTrials continuously don't always comprehend that there are newer/returning players just trying out Incarnate content. I still see the BAF cutscene regularly. And yes, they may be new Incarnate characters by experienced players, but that still means characters without level shifts. That can really change the iTrial dynamic.

LOLed for real. Now we need Sheev Merits.

As far as the thread, I personally find "freeloaders" offensive and counter to the idea of welcoming new players into our community. But maybe that's just me. (It's obviously not warden.)

One thing that might constrain the limited teaming is free players' content limits. Remember in Praetoria when you hit one of your moral choice missions and hit the teaming roadblock? It might be a bit like that.

The "^H" is an old-school backspace from modem days, if I understand my internet history. It was a way for people to fix^H^H^Hcorrect mistakes without our fancy lineouts of today.

Yes to BOTH the power-suppressing AND well-lit rooms. I've often made a costume change, only to see it in the "real" world outside and go, "Oh come on, really?"
