ummmm
@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!
This ^H thing always makes me want to punch somebody, and we still can't punch other people over the internet.
Self... This is going to hurt a little.
What I love about it is not just the futility of it, but that the most reasonable way to play that group would actually be a lot like the way that a four-player Gauntlet game would go.
Someone's still a little bitter.
"Mastermind Pets operate...differently, and aren't as easily fixed. Especially the Bruiser. I want to take him out behind the woodshed and pull an "old yeller" on him at times." - Castle
I remember that franchise. I played Gauntlet Legends in the arcades and loved it, other than the quarter-eating thing. Then I found a version for the N64 - same crazy action, without the constant damage tick. Put a lot of hours into that sucker. Multiple maxed-out characters, all the goodies unlocked, even got my sister hooked on it for a while.
Played gauntlet in many a lock in session (all night at arcade, games are free after you pay entry).
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
Gauntlet as in the arcade game. The pioneer of all pioneers into the realm of microtransactions. Feed the meter and watch your health go down regardless of how well you play! 25 cent after 25 cent after 25 cent till you spend all your paper route money for the week. Then emerge red eyed from the cavern of a Putt Putt arcade hall only to realize that it's still day outside, you've no money and the rest of the weekend to burn.

SHOTS NOW KILL OTHER PLAYERS !!!
Greedy Little ******* seems to have eaten all the Treasure lately...
Welcome, Ghost Sponge!
Crusty Old Fart In The Bathrobe needs FOOD! BADLY!
Eat your FOOD! Don't SHOOT it!
Gauntlet, in 1987, was the most awesome game in the arcade! Absolutely nothing came close to it for either solo or group play.
I didn't know that was an Arcade game, but I suppose I should have figured. The reason I inferred that was the only system I ever played Gaintlet for was the ZX Spectrum when I was, like, four years old. Understandably, I did not do very well at it

wait, that was on purpose? I thought it was a formatting problem. What does it mean?

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!
If I became a red name, I would be all "and what would you mere mortals like to entertain me with today, mu hu ha ha ha!" ~Arcanaville
There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
Red warrior needs food, badly
I loved gauntlet, loved the first reboot where with dark legacy and legends. but seven sorrows(the horrid second reboot) really hurt the series. but the arcade gaem and particularly gauntlet 2, where you could have multiple versions of the same character really helped. my regular group had 2 of us fighting to be wizard.
I loved the concept when the arcade game out. But I recognized the money-sucking Clockwork immediately and only played it once for one quarter's worth. I had to wait awhile as it was always being played whenever I came across a machine. Then I found D&D and a new group of friends, who I still keep in touch with these many years later, to play that game with every Saturday during college and not need to throw money away to have some sword & sorcery fun.

1984, so I'm primarily a child of the 90s, yes I think the first game I played with any real memory and understanding was Captain Comic in 16 colours, but I did play a bunch of old titles on the ZX Spectrim, like Army Moves, Attic Attack, Jetpack and a few others that I don't remember the names of. And that's around 10 years before I actually spoke a word of English, too

RPGs was where I had the most enjoyment. But, never really cared for D&D (advanced or not).
Oh, and I'm a child of the 70's.

The "^H" is an old-school backspace from modem days, if I understand my internet history. It was a way for people to fix^H^H^Hcorrect mistakes without our fancy lineouts of today.

Though I think I sank more money into either Battlezone or Sinistar. (And I find the Sinistar quotes in the LGTF amusing, yes.)

Blue Valkyrie: Huge model, all sliders but height maxed, valkyrie costume, BS/SD scrapper. Bio: "Has eaten all the food lately."
Green Elf: Super-skinny short male model, generally greenish fabric, TA/Arch defender. Bio: "Has shot the food."
Yellow Wizard: As close to a real robe as you can get, pale yellow, fire/fire blaster. Bio: "Is about to die."
Red Warrior: Huge model, kilt and not much else, battle axe/WP brute. Bio: "Needs food badly."
... Come on, it'd be awesome. They'd even be hugely depdendent on quarters^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hgreen inspirations.
