this type of thing is also how poeple managed to get newspaper mishs that had cimerorans in there before we actually got cimerora lol

when does adamastor do cold dmg? lol pretty sure he has 4 attacks, and they do either toxic or smashing dmg
-
when i checked it out on beta im pretty sure there was a minimal fx option, but i do not know all of what it effected, i like seeing the FX so i rarely use this option (only time i do is on dark armor cloak of darkness as it renders your characters costume unseeable which is extremely annoying)
-
ive never had a problem going to PO, i just use the base transporter and then pop out right in front of the building, then ouro or mish tp off to what i was gonna do
i like the suggestion but am fairly impartial to it happening as the current system is not really an inconvenience since it takes less than 5 minutes out of my playtime -
Quote:gauntlet isnt broken (it does break a lot of other things though) and there havent been any changes to taunt auras, although some defensive sets do have fairly weak taunt auras such as SR and willpowerThanks a ton for the advice and builds. I haven't yet looked at what the mocking set it, but slotting taunt is going to be hard on my soul. Is gauntlet just that broken or was there a nerf to taunt auras or something?
It's gonna take a few weeks to gather the amount of influence I need, but I did pick up a lot of LOTG stuff this morning. I can buy some of this stuff from the market too.
I do suffer from a complete fear of toggle dropping. Is there no need for physical perfection and conserve power? Endurance was a big concern while levelling, but that was mostly solo which, of course, uses a lot more.
Again, thanks a bunch for the advice, this is exactly what I was looking for. Also if taunt is common sense (which is still freaking me out) what do trolls do for fun in the tank forums nowadays?
without taunt though it will be fairly hard to control aggro as it is quite easy to pull aggro off something thats just punchvoked -
i wouldnt talk of any numbers stuff until its live because its likely stuff will change
as adeon already mentioned there are several changes planned for nature affinity already -

Quote:i would take it lol, heck i would give anything just about for villains to get their own slice of the shadow shard and more tfs in generalI think I would die of laughter if villains got a Strike Force equivalent to Doc Q.
Something with 22 missions, that keeps sending you to Monster Island and PvP zones and then back to Mercy, complete with multiple Rularuu (or similarly annoying enemy) ambushes and that ends on an Oranbega map with both CoT and Rularuu and you never see an AV....
I was reminded two days ago how awesomely bad Doc Q is. After 22 missions, after multiple hunts in the beginning, after jumping from Shadow Shard to Paragon at least twice, after multiple simultaneous 4-glowie clicks (and many other missions with glowies that serve no purpose), after many missions with aggressive rularuu ambushs that will kill unprepared squishies and even moderately well built melee types dead, you finally come to the end... and not only is there no AV, but it's Oranbega with tight corridors and a kill-all rularuu and cot together... just spectacularly, epically wrong, as if they said, "how can we make this EVEN WORSE". (Well, they could add Malta and Knives of Artemis too I suppose).
In fact, now that I think of it, the redside Doc Q really should have Malta and KoA in it. ^_^ -
for greatest sources of toxic dmg from players you have poisonous ray listed only for arachnos soldiers, did you consider the poisonous ray from mace mastery? that power is also fairly high dmg and is pure toxic

as others have said the non subscribed accounts are limited even if they put time in before the change and thus have to buy things a la carte
if you want full access to the game you have to subscribe -
vanguard have a tiny bit of -resist but only to smash and lethal
the LT offense pet has a melee attack that does -5% smash/lethal resist
other than that i do not think there are any other ones with -resist -
i dont think the shard tfs will ever be the weekly unless us villains get something equivalent lol
-
this honestly hasnt really bothered me, but then again i dont usually do much on the market except to buy stuff that i need for a character or sell trash for 1 inf
-
i had to do this on a mm, the cot guides were actually hitting me too hard so i had to downgrade and just used 1-2 rikti monkeys on monster island lol
that actually worked out quite nicely although it was a tad slower than the cot method -
i personally feel at this point shards are fairly superfluous since they are only useable on the alpha and doing incarnate level content your not gonna see any anyway
i think the original reason we went to threads in the first place was to slow down the poeple who were stockpiling hundreds or thousands of shards prior to i21 when we got the other incarnate powers (it didnt really slow anything down for them and its kind of pointless now lol) -

i personally think the vault should be made as a global storage for your characters, i personally never use it cause i dont really care that much about salvage

Quote:i agree with pretty much all the points you stated lol, dark assault covers all the bases fairly well and is prolly my 2nd favorite assault set aside from fireYou're not alone. I've played both a Dark/Dark and a Mind/Dark up to the late 30s and I know which one I prefer by miles.
I found Dark Control a big disappointment. A lot of its controls are 'soft' and the whole set feels lacking in power. Maybe I'm spoiled by Earth or Mind but there's nothing in the set that solidly locks down a spawn and feels powerful. Its stuns and fears are strong but I found Shadow Field to be sorely lacking in its ability to pin a mob down. Fearsome Stare is still great as a linchpin of the set but outside of that, there were too many times when mobs would slip out of my control and start wailing on me. Haunt is too easily ignored by mobs and Possess, although easily the coolest looking power in the set is only single target. If you're looking for a set that controls a mob and keeps them controlled, Dark is not it. It looks pretty but it just didn't feel powerful to me. And I love my Dark sets.
The less said about the dog the better. However, it's a noisy, mediocre pet at best and theme breaking for a lot of concepts. I still consider it plain lazy of the Devs to just jam a dog in there and try to pretend it's anything else by sticking a murky aura on it. However, even ignoring the dog, the set just isn't remarkable enough to be worth enduring. My D3 Defender locks mobs down better than my Dark/Dark any day of the week.
Dark Assault though is just plain awesome on a stick. Ignore the old graphics and consider that you have two strong melee attacks, a great PBAoE, a self heal and a damage and effect buffing power in one and it's a great set. It does solid damage at distance and close up so it mixes nicely with all Control sets and has so many lovely toys to play with I feel spoilt for choice half the time. Its AoE is a little lacking (Nightfall is quite a narrow cone) but for single target, it's strong set.
To be honest, I don't feel the two sets mesh that well together. Although stacking the -ToHit is good, I've found that Mind Control goes with Dark Assault a lot better, pinning mobs down then taking them out. Dark Control would probably go nicely with Assault sets that offer a little more mitigation, such as Stone, Energy or Psionic.
Of course, your mileage may vary and clearly opinion is divided it seems. Try them out and see how you feel about them.
although the shadow field is great when used with domination otherwise yes its very meh -
Quote:when the warning comes up and no lightning appears, testing that has been done on victory has shown that the poison traps vomit effect has the potential to "interrupt" his lightning attack so the message comes up but no lightning actually appearsI've never experienced any issues with the patches in MoM.
Tyrant's lightning in the Magisterium is a different story. I have seen the following:
- The lightning VFX fade out before the damage effect so it looks clear but you can get killed by it.
- The lightning fails to appear AT ALL. And I don't mean the VFX - it gives the 'crackle' warning, he does the animation, then no lightning. You can run anywhere you want and take no damage.
So, while I haven't seen the issue you describe, that lightning is awfully flaky.
ive not had any issues with the FX not showing up though when its supposed to -
yes all pets can set off the bombs which makes them really tricky to doing this successfully
if you attack the bomb outside of its range it will not countdown
the countdown will only start once you get within 150 ft of the bomb -
Quote:i usually try to fit tactics on my doms, and i agree that teaming tohit buff is easy to get, a whole team just running tactics alone is prolly almost 30% tohit buff easyUnattainable, not completely. Hard for some set's SOLO, yes. I have seen that much ToHit plenty of times teamed. One NW alone can put you real close or even there if they slot ML fot ToHit. We now have a use for all those yellows you get in game and just covert 3 into something else. I like this change. Does it benefit all set's the same, no. Electric benefits the most but to be honest it needed the buff more than the rest.
I have an /Electric and /Ice dom. I'm looking forward to these changes.
on my doms i usually get the snipes as set mules than anything else -
they must have changed the mish then, every time i have run it all of the npc allies in that mish have been invincible (ie they could be attacked but they never actually lost any hp) so it would have been impossible for any of them to have died for a mish fail
