Can we get Mod5 some overtime pay??
>_< -
I don't PvP but I wanted to chime in here and say.
BIG PROPS to you Z!!
I'm so so happy to have a community lead that doesn't drown us in corporate speak!
I mean wow, such a simple little thing as being open and forthright has gone a long way in improving Paragon Studio's image for me.
Kudos -
Bingo. I haven't watched anything 'Live' except the News since 2006 when I got my 1st Tivo.
Networks need to get with the times and realize that Hulu, DVR's, DVD's of seasons coming out a week after the airing all impact the precious ratings.
Long gone are the days of Neilson families all gathered round the tv at 7pm... -
My favorite Mr. Freeze comes from Batman Beyond. That's the only time I've 'felt' for the man.
As for The Batman, I liked it but I had no clue it went on for so long. I think I only made it through the 1st season before my Tivo burned out and it was about 8 months before I got a new one...
Must've forgot to add that back into the season pass...
Now you've done it, I've gotta go and adjust my netflix Q. -
I was so upset over NBC not giving Heroes a true final season that I completely forgot about The Cape... Haven't even seen a clip of it. Did they even advertise it?
The only show on that list I care about is
No Ordinary Family.
It's just now starting to get fleshed out and if they just dump it and leave us hanging with unresolved answers... Well I might just be done with TV entirely. Choosing not to get invested in something that'll never be resolved. I'll just netflix the shows that survive long enough to have a plot concluded.
I didn't notice Eureka or Psych on that list, anyone know the fate of those two? -

I rolled up an Ice/Cold just last night and quickly made it to 12 thanks to a sewers run.
I really like the synergy and everything early on but I did notice something... strange.
Even with inherrent Stamina I was on empty all-the-time. This was while I was solo sweeping and even worse when teamed.
I run mainly Blasters and always thought they pulled the most endurance early on. Always made the teens painful as I had to skip useful powers for the Stamina pre-reqs.
I've run a Fire/Rad and a Mind/Eng that didn't have any endurance issues... ever. Yet this Ice/Cold drains to empty every single encounter.
Just throwing that out there. Man I can't imagine what it was like before inherrent fitness. -
I've actually got that attribute hidden under my chat box so that just the buff # is visible. Right beside the extra tabs I never use.
It's nice to see the damage bonus and all but I really have it there so I can easily tell when Rage has crashed, as the big old red -9000 stands out a bit more than the green buff numbers.
I don't think max fury is even possible now after the change, but fury is easier to start building so the tradeoff is 50/50 imo. -
Reminds me of the scene from The Big Goodbye;
"Tell me something, Dix. When you've gone... will this world still exit? Will my wife and kids still be waiting for me at home?"
To which Captain Pickard responds; "I honestly don't know."
I'm referring of course to the Holodeck. When one of the holo characters learns that it's all an illusion.
Now exploring this further leds me to believe that yes, in a way, the world will still exist and his wife will be waiting for him, even when the holodeck is turned off. As the next time the program is turned on, the computer would 'fill in the blanks' as it were. So the next time Dixon Hill encounters that particular detective, he has all the memories he would need. All the nights at home with his family. True, they are just 'added' in after the fact by the computer but who is to say that doesn't make it real?
Alternatively you have what I call the 'Choices' issue to deal with. In this theory, every choice that could be made, is made. Thus creating an incalculable amount of parrall dimensions. 1 dimension for ever single choice for ever single living entity...
In this theory the girl who's dreaming Paragon City resides in one dimension, a dimension that doesn't have a Paragon City. This does not mean that if she was to die we would all simply vanish because.
We exist in our own dimension simply as a result of her original choice.
Therefor, even though we were created by her, our own existence isn't tied to her in any tangible way.
Who dreams the dreamer?
I have an Alt that has a somewhat similar backstory. I don't bother to RP so it really doesn't bother most. Suffice it to say, this character was an avid gamer in 2006. He was playing his new favorite alt when a mysterious force projected his essence into said avatar. He goes from being a nobody gamer to being an actual living and breathing superhero. Paragon city is fleshed out and alive for him. No longer being pixels on a screen.
He alone knows that this entire universe is the mere creation of a team of Developers. Yet he is trapped. After so many months he begins to forget his previous life and slowly acclimates to this new world. -
If it meant having to comb through my littany of alts and begin respeccing again....
NO.
I'm still not done respeccing them all into inherrent fitness as is.
Just as a general change. Personally I don't see a problem with the suggestion, just not much merit for it either. -
I'd sink into a depressed funk for a few days. Nothing else would change really. I play so very little but the game's impact is still significant enough that just knowing it was no longer there would stick with me.
Like losing a long time companion.
I'd feel that 'loss' for a while. Eventually moving on, probably be done with gaming in general though. As I was 25 when I started playing this one and I'm approaching 31 now...
Nothing else on the market appeals to me in the slightest.
That is until I struck it rich somehow and bought up the IP so I could still play, albeit solo. -
One thousand five hundred and thrity three forumites chanting, cause I'd surely be there too!
-
With you being out of the game for that long my 1st advice wouldn't be how to respec your 50.
It'd be roll a new one! SO much has changed, SO much has improved that you'd be better off starting fresh and then respecing your 50 once your back in the groove of things.
Not to mention that your 50 wouldn't have ever had access to merits or the market or drops even... So money for a serious level 50 respec would probably be lacking.
Most solid 50 builds tend to cost well over 100 million, and that's on the cheap end!
Still, if your adamant about it, I'm sure someone will come along shortly and lay their perfect Billion dollar build out for ya...
That said, Welcome Back Hero!!! -
Last night I was shocked when I made a new Cold/Cold Controller and was able to get the name
Capt. Cold - On Virtue no less! Also avail. as of last night.
Sgt. Shiver
Others I've been shocked on recently.
Mr Valiant - On Liberty
Prototype Omega - Viture
Breakneck Biker - Virtue and Infinity.
Nature's Knight - Virtue
I searched all servers hoping to find one that had a specific name open, sadly all 11 servers already have a
Mr. Majestic
So that concept will remain simmering for now.
I wasn't that shocked, but I'm pleased that the name
Resplendid Man is still open for use. Kudo's if you get the reference! -
Hmm...
I've always 'retired' my characters at 50 as they've had a full career at that point and I don't much enjoy endless grinds for loot, which up until now, has been the only thing to do at 50.
Since I don't play my 50's, I haven't had any interest in the Incarnate content. I figured it wasn't worth the effort just so I could grind the same TF's a bit easier.
The only thing that even tempted me to go down the incarnate path was the chance to stand toe to toe with the likes of Babbage and Adamaster.
I figure Statesman would have no trouble dispatching the Palladin all by himself so I naturally assumed once the full spread of incarnate goodies is out that we'd be able to do that...
So, even after getting every single incarnate boost possible your saying Palladin will still mop the floor with me regardless?
Just doesn't sound like the demi-god levels of power I'd envisioned.
(As an aside, I can fully understand and stand behind the bonuses not working when exemplared) I just figured if I was running around as an Incarnate and bumped into Jurassic that I wouldn't be afraid...
Guess the system just really isn't for me then. Ah well, at least I'll be able to get double XP from TF's from time to time! -
Sounds a bit like Jack's Skill system...
Which eventually morphed into the Invention system we have...
Probably because they didn't want us to have to worry about +1's and whatnot.
The way I see it working would be terrible. You'd have the min/max crowd that can utilize it 100% for max boost and then you'd have the rest of us that would be totally lost and end up 'gimping' ourselves. -
Yes please.
We've been seriously lacking in secondaries for some time now. -
No Steel, I think that makes you a masochist.
I do like the word you created, reincarnatolic sure is a mouthful though. -
I'm pretty sure he's just referring to the sound being made...

After buying a new computer last week I decided to get back into teaming. I used to love playing my Defenders and Controllers for a change of pace from the usual.
What I found though is the exact problem you describe. All my support toons are in the 20-30 range... It seems everyone and their kittens are all running 50's as of late.
I'm sure this is because it's the newest shiny on the block, and hopefully once most of them get their notice they'll return to alts. Hopefully.
My big fear is this has been a game about Alt's for years and years, due to the lack of endgame. If that changes and it slowly turns into a game that's just a mad dash to 50 for everyone...
Well, I'd rather not think about that.
For now, I'm back to soloing my damage dealers while I wait for the frenzy to die down. Thankfully I'll be in range of next weeks WST, even though I don't care for the Notice I'll still look forward to the teaming! -
I've been going over all my alts, vetspecing them to get inherent stamina and I noticed this message after completing the respec on my
Archery Blaster.
Something along the lines of Custom_Bow_Unlocked
appeared in my chat window.
I didn't pay much attention as I'm quite happy with the bow he has.
However I then did a respec on my Katanna Scrapper and saw a similiar weapon unlock message. So I strolled over to Serge and couldn't find any new weapons avail.
I switched back to the Archer and likewise had no new options.
I just searched the Wiki and couldn't find anything unlocked by doing a respec.
So... What's this all about? -
I don't even think about the crash anymore.
On my Main it's Aim+BU= NOVA!
Blue inspiration + Conserve Power= keep on truckin!
-
Wait...
So I can slot more than one of the +Def or +Res on my MM??
I'm not really that up to speed on IO's and just recently started kiting out my level 46 Necro/Dark.
From reading the description on Edict it sounded like I could only slot one of those types of global bonuses so I figured I had 1 defense and 1 resistance and couldn't get more.
So now I'm thinking that only means I can't slot more than one Edict but can slot more than one +Bonus as long as it's from another set... right?
