  1. Everything is relative and there is always more than one side to a story. Even in a case of extreme sociopathy, you have to start wondering about degrees of free will.

Don't take it personal. I'm just following the idea of parsimony and questioning the perception of the situation. In this case, a bug is actually less simple than "knocked a repairman down the ramp and he ran up the other side" or a situation like CMA has presented (actually had that happen with Sonic Repulsion pushing one under the Tower).

I'm not saying it isn't impossible but I'd need more than a description of what could have happened from one player. And a reiteration: Nothing personal, I'm just naturally skeptical.

    No. No. No.

Blanket changes to the system are the stupid, lazy, and foolish way to do it. Readjusting the values so that they're based on level caps and relative worth takes more effort but results in a much more balanced system.

Uniques/High value parts like the relevant Miracle set piece? Their price can sit as is. A set like say, Entropic Chaos that caps out at 35? A set like that should not cost as much per recipe as a level 50 parallel. But that's just my two cents and why I just hit random or use the market. I'm not particularly strong-minded about it but I get annoyed when I see evidence of the devs applying a random multiplier to a spreadsheet without actually, you know, doing real balance work.
  4. General:
    Cosmic Balance/Absorption carries between forms.
Also, Kheldians on the same team now give resistance to recharge debuffs through the inherent.
I don't recall how the change works exactly but Nova damage was more or less increased.
Your Dwarf toggle can be used to break mezzes.
Dwarf toggle attacks now carry inherent Taunt (similar to Brute miniGauntlet).
Similarly, I think the damage multipliers for human form were modified but I don't recall.

    Specific:
Black Dwarf's version of Mire was changed into more of an AoE version of FollowUp, giving the Black Dwarf an actual AoE attack. Yeah, you lose the 25 seconds of double Mire but hey.
Don't know anything about PBs because I don't care about them. :P

Long? 45-75 minutes is less than most of the other Phalanx TFs.

Based on your description of the events, you took the flier down at 17/20 minutes, depending on what "and minions" refers to. Then, at 20/20 minutes, it respawned, which is what it does.

I will admit I have experienced a "bugged" STF but that was a mission server on the fritz, not that the encounter itself was somehow flawed.

That was an adorable flareup in the channel; most entertaining, five stars, would read again.

It should be mentioned, however, that you did invite a Fire/Kin Controller to the team. Teamwork-based incompetence is more or less a prerequisite in that territory.
  7. Being that you had a Tank, Controller, and "many" Scrappers, yet still suffered a lot of deaths, I'd say your entire team was at fault and doomed from the start. The ITF isn't hard.

It became particularly apparent for me when I was multiboxing off of my computer and decided, on a lark, to set the different windows to different resolutions of approximate equal "pixel area". Granted, at least it's not as bad for a game like CoH as compared to say, Battlefield 2, a 2005 shooter without widescreen support...

The basic error with the suggested theory of the people you're parodying is that it rests on acceptance of the condition of "farming is bad" as a truth or fact. "Farming is bad" is an opinion, not a fact (I know, I know, expecting people to know the difference on the Internet is asking a lot), held by people inappropriately attributing properties of one activity which is bad, namely, exploiting a broken mechanic, to something which is a method devoid of being good or bad.

Of course, there are some that do consider the assumed condition described above as true but then, that's their prerogative. I could not care less about them as long as they don't start negatively influencing me. They actually amuse me more than anything because I get the imagery of the old bitty spying on her neighbors through shutters and binoculars whenever they pipe up about it.

Not in the way you describe. However, you can still accomplish the same effect by using this:

    /bind "lalt+mbutton" "powexecname Shadow Step"

With that, you need only hold the left alt key, point to a location, and click the middle mouse button to execute the teleport. Personally, I use Lbutton because the middle mouse can be a little imprecise for my tastes. But whatever.

*edit* It won't give you the reticle but the effect is more or less what you're asking for.

    2nd question,
If not the first option, is it possible to have a bind switch depending on form? EG, to have the middle button bound to the TP power switch which power depending on which form?
There are two methods of accomplishing this. One requires you to load bind files on form changes as described above (which other people have done well at explaining already). This is more or less the recommended method.

The other, less recommended, method changes the way by which you execute the above bind, that is, you would change the actual command to "powexecslot 0" and have Shadow Step in slot 0 on your human tray and Black Dwarf Step in slot 0 on your dwarf tray (which would become your primary tray on form change). This also happens to be the way I do it (sort of, I have a lot of tray swapping for my forms and don't use bind files, so it's not exact to what I have--close enough anyway, though).

Well, people may mock Azuria for losing stuff to thieves and various other issues but at least she has them under lock and key. The CoT apparently have revolving doors on all of their mystical fortresses.

If you're on a limited-bandwidth connection, having every website load multiple 1+ MB flash ads basically means you don't get to do much of anything on the Internet. Wireless companies can all go to hell. I'm thoroughly pleased to be free from their grasp for the time being...

There's a term called "Cherry Tapping". It can be taken as a way of defeating your opponent with either a weak, silly, or impractical attack, of which SD might be defined as all three depending on how you feel about it.

I'd start here and keep going. You'll be disavowed of any further silly notions regarding Superman.

    As for Spider-Man...

And in regards to Sally, I make a point of using the most overkill power I have on hand if I happen to tab-target her while in Croatoa. I don't care if it destroys my endurance, I am using Nova, etc. I'm fairly confident she's the key to getting that elusive 1 experience to level 51.

It can also be fair to point out that those threads, even with my 100 (or 50, whichever is the maximum) posts/page, they still show up to me as having 9 pages.

Like the nemesis suggestion I just posted in, it's one of those pipe dream things that follow heavily into the "if we could do it over" area of desired features.

That, and having to do something like making 30 mix&match animation snippets that all flow together when combined in random small groupings would probably be the thing that sends BAB hurtling over the cliff of sanity.

    An Arch Nemesis

Not really all that useful when you consider that the AE exists.

That said, I wouldn't be opposed to being able to flag certain villain/hero characters for showing up at random in my other character's missions (and this has been a suggestion that's been around for a...long time and is one of those "if we could do it over" features that carried over to Champions). One particularly strong example would be a way to keep bank missions from getting boring once they stop spawning AV-level critters at 45+. Yeah, certain sets are horrifyingly lethal when given to the AI with AV multipliers but hey, I like it challenging (and you can control what spawns anyway so...).

Yeah, forgot about that. He still has the natural 50 protection however. And actually, I suppose that means he has a natural 54 protection, being an AV.

He also has a natural mag 50 protection to most, if not all, mezzes, on top of PToD. Then you're also running into things like purple patch scaling which makes stacking multiple sleeps much harder. Granted, sleep duration is probably the most ideal on that front.

    Name Design

Hmm. I may have to look into that. It can be irritating to type in someone's name and see that they have five "l"s. And with the default typeset, you're looking at 243 different possibilities if you don't have a quick&easy click-to-invite available.
  23. With a fully-stocked base (and the base teleporter), how quick and easy it is to get to 25, Pocket D Pass, whatever it is that gives Mission Teleporter, and the myriad of very accessible temporary travel powers (and the bonus trickery of using the Jump Pack with a flying power), I find it hard to justify it if my build is at all tight. I also tend to look at it in the way of "Sprint+Swift+NR makes me run at 45 mph in-game...SS can double that. Whoop-dee-doo."

That said, I've gotten 60 months a little while ago and though I haven't modified any of my existing builds to accommodate it, I might end up sticking Fly or Teleport in now that it wouldn't waste a prerequisite slot to do so. I'm not all that big a fan of SJ or SS because they require a lot of attention without that much return for said attention. Fly just requires 'r' and pointing in the right direction, and Teleport with the ease-of-use binds is simple and fast enough that I don't get annoyed by the relatively higher degree of attention it requires.
  24. I had mentioned it in an off-handed manner on the VU global channels about how CO's solution to this (global names unique, local names not) would be a nice implementation, since some of them were busy whining about having issues picking names. Naturally, I got a bunch of rageouts frothing at the keyboard about how it would "suck" or be a "bad idea" or "ruin the game". For what's normally a cogent, intelligent channel, their arguments against what amounted to an uninterested side remark were remarkably pallid.

That said, I generally don't have issues with finding names, even on "bigger" servers like Virtue.
