I was on an ITF a few months back and after we completed the final mission, 5 of us (out of 8) decided we wanted to clear the map. So we spent the next 40 minutes to an hour hunting down every last Cimeroran Traitor we could find. A good part of the time spent searching for the lone wanderers.
Taking on the initial Tower Mobs was exciting, especially if we took to big a bite and someone faceplanted. We knew we couldn't hospital, because then we couldn't get back in. It was glorious and a lot of fun. -

Damn, I never even knew that. Well it'd be cool to rate one's leadership abilities. I dunno.
[/ QUOTE ]
Along with the star ratings, there is a box where you can make notes. If you want to note a player's leadership, you can do so in the notes. -
Check with Mega Blaster Girl. She does an awesome job running Mothership raids. We just did one last night after midnight Pacific time.

yeah i know i can create another account, but im edgy of losing a month's play, leveling etc. but its all good i guess i can just create a new account and transfer my items
[/ QUOTE ]
Not clear on what you mean by "transfer my items".
All your characters would be account specific. If you have two separate accounts, characters (and their stuff) can't be transferred from one account to another account.
Nevermind, you mean like Inf or Enhancement transfers from one toon to another without having to get outside help. -
Some other names to try out.
For Duty (best if used on a patriotic type character)
Maiden Gold (maybe use a female robotic type that is gold in color)
Dum De DumDum (maybe a cop or detective)
Dramatic Hamster (need I say more?)
That four names off the top of my head. -

Is the Jetpack Quartermaster in Grandville new? I never saw that before (but then, it DID take me a month to spot those 'Abandoned Laboratories' scattered around too...)
[/ QUOTE ]
Not new, but he may have relocated. I don't recall him standing in that spot before I15. I seem to recall he was off to one side before I15. -

HOw do you refill your temp power!? Jeeze
[/ QUOTE ]
On the Barracuda SF, you stand in the machine.
On the Dr. Kahn TF, you don't refill your temp power. -
My coolest?
Kryhavoc
My second favorite would be Hausfrau.
She is a Sonic/Kinetic Corruptor. She yells at you all the time and sucks the life out of you....can you tell I'm not married?
My third favorite is Tutankh-Elvis. He is a mummified Elvis impersonator. -
There is an easy fix now. If you are going to outlevel her, then just turn off your 'Earn XP' toggle in the options menu.

Praetorian...on my shoulders...makes me happy!

To be perfectly honest, the gender bending is not a problem with me.
What I have a problem with is the /emote SuperSerum. Basically, I have a problem with someone injecting themselves with something to change a costume. Perhaps I am being too conservative, but I remember a time when it was not considered appropriate to directly show injecting things on TV, not sure if or when that changed. I still don't think this would be appropriate for a game.
This is just my personal feeling and I'm not going to get all heavy handed about it, but it does disturb me. -

I wanna see someone get genericed in front of me someday. It's already funny enough when a genericed character shows up and everyone makes fun of them.

I actually have seen this. I was on a cavern of Trancendence trial years ago, and we had HULK. on our team (lol) Mid mission while we are beating up trolls we all see him go running into the next group...then poof! he turns from a gamma green giant into a rainbow colored generic costume and is now named Generic 00101293784...lol
He of course gets furious and /RAGEQUITS the TF, dooming us to a restart.
I actually think one of our group was the one who reported him, and we all had a good laugh about it, although no one fessed up to being the narc. Needless to say its one of the funnier things Ive ever seen in game.
I cant remember his exact tirade before his /RAGEQUIT, but it was also epic. I just wish I had screenshotted the event.
[/ QUOTE ]
I recall that to a certain extent. I was on a team that was getting ready to do Cavern of Transcendance and one of the potential teammates was a Hulk ripoff.
We tried to tell him that he was going to get his toon genericed, but he didn't understand what we were talking about or understand why it was a problem. I went ahead and petitioned it.
As we were about to start, he went AFK on us and was gone for a long time. Someone else want to join the team, so leader kicked him off and new member joined and we went on our way.
Sounds like he ended up on your team and got genericed from my report. -
I held a real costume contest on Bastille Day. Criteria: French themed contest. Either have French symbols like Fleur de Lis or color patterns that worked as Blue, White and Red and so on. Since I advertised that it was for Bastille Day and French-themed costumes were the only ones up for consideration, I guess you could say it was rigged, but by the standards of the holiday. I didn't know any of the players that I could tell.

A gameplay bonus I can see is if you end up in tight quarters, like the Blue Cave of Infinite Collisions and Hangup, you can switch your huge character to a tiny character to make it easier to maneuver around.

On the third hand: Ooooh dear. The gender-bending might have . . . fun and interesting applications for RP. :x
. . . Wait.
Third hand? Someone get the surgical laser.

That's the gripping hand.

Kudoes to "The Mote in God's Eye" catch. I was thinking about that as well. -
A friend recently helped me obtain the Cornerstone exploration badge in the Brickstown Safeguard mission. Since he had already done the mission and got the temp power, we were only doing it so I could get the badge. He was level 40 and I was level 50, but I wasn't exemplared.
After I got the badge, we decided to go take down the villain in the bank. We wade in and lay the smackdown on villains left and right and defeated the villain, resulting in the the mission ending successfully. Much to my surprise, I was awarded the temp power for that Safeguard mission. While I was leveling the first time, I had apparently missed this Safeguard mission and not realized it at the time.
So, you have to be trained to the minimum level to get the power, but can be any level above that minimum to get the power. -
Is it possible that they may be implemented but not announced at this time?
-
Virtue is my main and those are the times I usually play, mainly because that is when I get home from work. Look me up round 10:30 Pacific under global @Kryhavoc. I'll team with you and show you around.

Personally, I like Positron TF. As soon as I hear a broadcast of it forming, I try to find a toon that hasn't run it yet.

I was on a level 21 scrapper this weekend and got an tell, "Want to join level 23 mish in Talos?
I figured why not. I get to Talos and the mish is selected and I can tell from the title that it is a radio mish. I figure, even better, I haven't done the bank mission for this level yet.
I check the levels of the teammates and see they range from 21 - 23. Then I notice that the diff of the mission is Rugged (level3). I figure, rough but doable with a good team.
We enter mission and I see nothing but red and purple level 25 Warriors. We don't have a tank, but we have 3 scrappers, one of them is level 23. I don't have star so I wait for guidance from leader. No one wants to start. If I was level 23, I would have taken point, but I know as a level 21 facing Warriors 4 times my level, I would get chopped to pieces. Finally, someone does a pull shot.
We proceed into the warehouse and make the first left we get to and people start dying left and right. By the time the chaos cleared, we had teamwiped and two members had quit without a word, including the level 23 scrapper.
As we hospital out and return, I suggest, maybe you should reduce difficulty. Leader agrees and does just that. I am waiting at door and finally team assembles and leader says, Ok, let's go, and team enters. I didn't see the mission change to reset the map, but had looked away for a moment while taking out a nearby mob to pass the time and thought I had missed it. We enter mish and the map was how we had left it and the mobs were still red and purple level 25's.
So I ask leader on team chat, Did you reset mish?
Leader, How?
Me, First everyone exit mission. Mass exodus ensues.
Me, Now select someone else's mission, then select your mission again.
Three minutes pass by as various members are getting agitated and offering mission selection options that they see. One member even said to pass star already. When that was said, I finally, belatedly, check on leader's badges. A three month vet badge and a large amount of AE badges. I pm to the teammate who called to have star passed (he seemed to have a decent grasp on how to play the 'real' game), She's an MA Baby. As soon as I said that, he quit.
Finally, leader selected a new mission. Then leader says, New mission up, sorry about that, I haven't played in years.
I quit right there and moved on to something else. I have patience, but if you don't have a grasp on such a simple game mechanic, you probably shouldn't be leading any teams. I suspect the leader didn't even know that the 'real' game doesn't auto-sk the players. -

That's the one I was looking for but couldn't find it. My search fu failed me...of course, I only used Bad PUG's as my search term. -

So I jump on my level 14 Scrapper in The Hollows doing solo missions and just get Frostfire mission. I get a tell asking me to join a team.
I say, "Great timing, I just got Frostfire."
Leader, "We are doing radio and bank mish in KR."
I hadn't done the KR bank mish yet so I agree. Get invited and slog over to KR, fly to radio mish and enter just as they complete mission. Exit and several teammates head to Blue Steel to level. Leader just stands at entrance of mission and waits...and waits....and waits.
New Teammate finally asks what we are doing and leader says bank mish and he finally goes to detective and puts mission up. It is the Kings Row bank mish.
Lowbie Sidekick, "Hurray, I finally get Raptor Pack."
I check and see that he is a level 9 sidekicked to level 13.
Me, "Lowbie Sidekick is not going to be happy."
Lowbie Sidekick, "Why?"
Me, "KR bank mish don't give Raptor Pack, it give Zero-G Pack. Also you have to be level 10 to get anything in KR bank mish."
New Teammate, "No he doesn't, he'll get something. I got Raptor Pack earlier today on this same toon. Maybe he'll get both?"
Leader, "We'll try it and see what happens."
We enter mission, since Lowbie Sidekick has no travel powers, he encounters mobs and gets faceplanted. We finally get to bank and succeed and everyone gets a Zero-G Pack...except Lowbie Sidekick.
Lowbie Sidekick, "I didn't get anything."
Other teammates, I got Zero-G Pack.
While the team moved on to get badge, Lowbie Sidekick exited.
Lowbie Sidekick, "I didn't get anything. @#$$#, mage!"
Lowbie Sidekick, "Waaaaah." (I actually got a chuckle on that one.)
We are busy battling Clockwork at the badge so I answer, "Busy now."
I fully intended to explain the same info I gave before the mission, but Lowbie Sidekick quit before I could say anything.
As soon as I exited the mission (I didn't even try to stay around for the side missions), I quit the team.
It would have been so simple for someone else to get a radio or regular mission and run that so that Lowbie Sidekick could have gotten to level 10. Another possibility is if Lowbie Sidekick had all the radio missions down, he could have gotten his Atlas Park bank mish, set to level 5 Invincibility and we could have done his bank mish to get him a Raptor Pack, he would have leveled to level 10 and then we could have done KR bank mish to get Zero-G Pack.
But no one would listen to me. At least, I didn't say, "I told you so." -
