Oh yay. Another currency.
I thought they just removed base salvage because "All the salvage types were confusing to new players"?
Also: This seems to kill the idea that the markets are being merged.
How else are we going to craft the new Praetorian recipes that only work in Praetorian world?

Well it lists under current salvage options.
A logical conclusion is just a few new salvage pieces with new IOs so people can't control the market from beta since the salvage won't be available yet.

When they announced Cimmorora (or however it's spelled), I fully expected a third type of Salvage other than Tech or Arcane: Archaic.
Could have: Wicker Basket, Papyrus Scroll, Clay Jug, Leather Sandal, Torn Toga, Ox Yoke, Bronze Axe, Pointy Stick, Shiny Rock, etc.

You need a pointy stick, a shiny rock, and a scrap of torn toga plus the recipe to form the temporary power/weapon "rock tied to a stick"

I for one welcome our new Praetorian overlords by adding new salvage. If you have not noticed this is how all dominant overlords start.
Well, whenever the previous recipe expansions (purples, PvP, bases, etc.) came out, I saw folks complaining that the current salvage was already stretched thin enough as is, without the new stuff making the demand even higher. As such, I can easily see the devs adding new salvage, specifically for new recipes, so folks can have more options, and they don't have the same 'scarcity' complaints. Of course, I'll leave it to others as to whether this mind set is valid, but it's certainly one way to look at it.

This savlage could also be only used for a few special recipes (say, temp powers, maybe in the vein of the Lost Curing Wand) you get in Praetorian arcs.

I've found Praetorian Salvage listed in the market; Android Blaster, Plague Spores and some others. It's right after Arcane Salvage and clearly a bug. However, the fact that it's already listed makes me wonder if Going Rogue is coming sooner than a lot of people think. I've seen stuff like Winter's Gift show up early; but not multiple-issues early. Perhaps the speculation that it's going to be simultaneous with Issue 16 is correct ?
