Quote:I thought this was due to the server zones (shards) not having the same servertime, so the last time it happened I did some checking to confirm that it is indeed the case.I just got all my defense powers zoning from Pocket D to PO and then Pocket D to Sharkshead. Maybe it's Pocket D specific this time?
One shard (I believe at the time it was Pocket D on Champion) was set to Pacific Time and the other shards I tested ( Talos, Skyway, IP) were on UT (aka GMT).
I sent in a petition and included the /servertime for the affected zones. -
Quote:How long ago was that? It's possible that they recently improved it, as Lavitae pointed out in the linked thread. I've gone ahead and tested it since then with the day job powers web grenade, fragmentation grenade and revive ally power and they were accrueing time even if I had logged in a few times within 24 hours.Quote:By the way, this was tested and proven to be incorrect, as time logged off is kept track of and NOT reset. There is no minimum amount of time before time is recorded.
[This thread covers the testing.]
The only other thing I could think of if it may be specific day job locations are bugged, like the Sharkshead and IP Base Portals would show a Day Job location icon but not apply time. (These were fixed) -

If you don't stay offline long enough to get a charge, the timer on it resets. And I don't know what the timer is for this power, but it *might* be 24 hours.

Check your Active contact list. You should have at least one contact who should have missions and/or new contacts for you.

Quote:On a lot of my toons, I can not select Sands of Mu (or Ghost-Slaying Axe) as a power in my veteran bagdes menu, the alternative to choose them is simply greyed out. Is there a level requirement? Can only certain archetypes use them?
About 4 in 10 toons have had this problem. I have not found a common demoninator among them
Are you certain you are using the Veteran Badge category and not the "Most Recent" Badges window? -
Note though that the UXB's and Heavy Assault Suits (EB's) are actually level 50 "Monsterized" [you can get level 50 recipe drops from them].

Quote:ccEvilLaugh and ccVanguardSigil are correct run together, but the Kheldian changes are just ccPeacebringer and ccWarshade.
cce 1 CCEvilLaugh
cce 1 CCPeacebringerTransform
cce 1 CCWarshadeTransform
cce 1 CCVanguardSigil
I'm not 100% sure about the evellaugh, pbtransform, wstrasform, and Vanguard Sigil as they are two words. I'm assuming they are just run together like the previous cc emotes.
Have Fun!

Thanks, it's good to know that Castle knows.

Mastermind/Trick Arrow/ Glue Arrow effects disappear when the target of the attack is defeated. The Glue patch area of effect used to stay on the ground after target defeat until the power's timer expired.
This was fixed in the patch on 7.22.08:
Quote:but was broken again when Issue 13 was released back on 12.02.08.FX for Controller and Mastermind Glue Arrow should persist after the initial target's demise now (the Defender version already had this property.)
I don't have a controller or defender to check, so is this happening for those AT's as well?
I have put in bug reports since I13, and was hoping with the latest patch fixing the missing effects from the TA powers that it might have been looked at, but it is still dissipating prematurely for my Mastermind. -

If it's a "defeat them anywhere" (which it probably is since snipers are the only Nemesis spawns in Founders), you can also grab instanced missions.
Try Scanner missions in Peregrine Island, contact Maxwell Christopher for lots of Nemesis related missions, and also Serpent Drummer in the Rikti War Zone.
(Also the Natural Store contact in Founders Falls, but that is only available up to level 40.) -
The background info is in the Know Your Adversary page: Carnival of Shadows.
Specifically the paragraph about Vanessa's playmate Rachel Morris. -

I'm 90% sure that particular mission has been fixed to avoid simul-glowies, but the mission text wasn't changed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, I just had that mission last week and went to see if it still needed simul-clicks on the 2 Council computers, and it did. I cleared it anyway and dropped it.
The one which really should be fixed to give a choice of missions is the level 25-30 Science contact. The very first (and only) offered mission is always a timed 2 person mission: The Missing Geologist. Taking it is the only way to get to the story arc and any other missions, but it is not part of the story arc. -

Latest response from Castle is it looks like they squashed it:
Death of the buffer bug:
[ QUOTE ]
FYI, thanks to feedback from you guys (and one player who included the KEY piece of information, in particular) this particular bug looks like it has been squashed.
Of course, I say "looks like" because:
1) It hasn't passed QA yet -- it hasn't even been submitted!
2) There may be other things causing the same symptom.
3) We could simply be wrong and the fix doesn't do what we thought.
Anyway, fingers are crossed! Here's hoping this is the last of the wwwwssssdddddd1231231234123chat bug.

Yes, you can play [and make] Architect missions without 'owning' the Architect boxed set. The only restriction is with trial accounts in that they cannot access the Architect terminals.
-
Yes, noticed both points. Hellion boss missions have the same Non-matching Boss name issue as the Vahzilok missions.

Try looking under Menu->Options-> General tab; in the Miscellaneous section the first entry is for ToolTips. Make sure that is Enabled.
Edit to add: SeedyXX, try toggling Tooltips to Disabled, "Apply Now" and then Enabled->"Apply Now". Sometimes newly opened windows don't get the default window settings applied, like window scale etc. -

I have had my singularity "phase out" when it took a lot of damage from The Envoy of Shadows. I noticed it because the damage messages scrolled up as "Unaffected" so I suspect it's a "self intangible" power. -
With the Rikti Invasion weekend underway I thought it would a good time to link to The Dark Watcher's post on how the invasion spawning works:
Vanguard Information on Rikti Assault Patterns
The player question? How do you get the Rikti Heavy Assault Suit's to spawn?
Basically: Stealth has no effect on whether or not they spawn, and try to maximize the number of players in the zone within 30 feet of each other while eliminating the bosses and lieutenants quickly to force the Assault Suits to respond. ( Nukes and Self Destructs often give good 'spikes' to force the EB's to spawn.)
Now go and defend the planet! -
Definitely worth making this visible again with the new invasion weekend underway.

I had that message come up once oooooooh 2 (?) years ago or so. From what I gathered it was an issue / glitch with the character's data saved to the servers, since when I re-logged, the character was restored to a point back to when I had first entered a previous mission with all progress reset to that point.
(No, it wasn't a sync problem or a server wide reset).
There was no problem after that, and the character hadn't recently done any costume changes, so I never did find out what caused it.
