  1. I was seeing the same thing on Infinity and my netgraph was full of red and yellow spikes. I'm chalking it up to the hurricane. Hopefully it will go away by tomorrow.

Not the last time I checked, which was a few months ago. It might have been fixed since then. The bug where you could heal a buff pet was fixed a long time ago.

I was under the impression that you can't auto-complete that mission because it uses branching text and you have to make a choice. The choice doesn't actually affect the outcome, but the system reads it as something that can't be skipped because the branching text is in there.
  4. Usually this sort of problem indicates the zone in question has crashed and become a black hole for anyone trying to enter. For some reason, Sharkhead is particularly prone to this issue. I haven't seen this happen on Infinity in several years EXCEPT for Sharkhead.

Have you seen anyone on global channels complaining about it? If Skyway became a black hole, it would presumably affect more and more people as time passes.

We would need a split screen - one half showing the in-game action and the other half showing the expression on his face.

Interesting. Not surprising, though. The armor is account-wide but the recipe purchase just drops it in the inventory of that particular character.
  7. FYI, Maria Jenkins offers two missions on that map (one in the arc, one not) and I did one of them just a couple hours ago. I recalled this thread and copied her text about the dimension.

So it seems that the Dagger of Jocas is different in Praetoria and Black Swan got her hands on the Quills of Jocas? I assume that's how she made the Shadow World, which resembles the Shadow Shard that the Midnight Squad made with the Dagger. She must absorb the shadows of her victims to power herself and create her minions at the same time. Excellent work, Chromatic Cat!
Apparently, the devs took the background and the Chantry structure, then added the fog and changed the map so you can walk to the sphere along a path that doesn't allow you to wander much off to either side.

It will be. In Freedom, information on what you have purchased will be stored on each shard so if your server is up, it will know what you have bought.

When Freedom launches, the system will be completely different and fix this issue. How *BETA* works at the moment isn't relevant.
  9. It's possible that the store is down because they are starting to put elements of the new system in place. In the future, much more information will be dependent on the store. Therefore, the entire system is being changed and information on what you have purchased will be stored on each shard. So, if your server is up, it will know what you have purchased.

Or the store could be down because a cat farted near the server.
  10. Are you on any global channels? In the past day I've seen numerous task forces, iTrials, radio missions and tip missions being 'advertised'.
  11. Continuing with the quest for Portal Jockey, this week we will be doing the arc from Tina MacIntyre.

I don't have anyone in the correct level range so, unless someone else wants to get the arc, we will be using Ouroboros. This would mean that only Hero and Vigilantes (no Rogues) can join us. Also, everyone has to be level 40 or higher.

Saturday, September 3 at 1 PM EDT
The Instant Army (Praetorian arc from Tina MacIntyre)
    Level <see above>
    No minimum number of players.

    1. Ironblade - probably a tank
    2. Orion Energy - Acton Blake (ele/ele dom) MAYBE
    3. Elllls - Neuropotence (mind/psi dom)
    4. Ad Astra - probably Maurya (blaster)
    5. AngelicaVenger - Bubble Bee
    6. Flux Overlord - Cortikal
    7. GATE-keeper - Magius Aegius (ill/storm controller)

The modifier only matters if you actually turn the power on.
My stone tank has Maneuvers to hold a Gift of the Ancients +runspeed and a Luck of the Gambler +recharge. I usually don't even turn it on. Now, you obviously have to turn it on for the Kismet to work, but who cares how much defense it gives?
  14. Clockwork have weird aggro rules. I've had Clockwork outdoors chase me over a mile - and I didn't have any Taunt effects on the character. Inside missions, most enemies will ignore you once you get maybe 50 ft away if you are trying to dash through. Clockwork will follow you to the end of the map.

How many slots do I have to dedicate to endred? Is 4 on each power enough?
I typically have ZERO early on. After I start to get enough slots, I'll put ONE endurance reduction on most powers (zero on others). You said in a later post that you don't have 3 slots in Stamina yet. Big mistake on a powerset that runs a lot of toggles. You should have 3 slots in Stamina by . . . oh, somewhere in the 20's. If you're noticing any END issues at all, you should have 3 slots by level 22 and your problems are greatly reduced once you slot SO's.

I was going to confirm that you've upgraded to SO's, but you indicated you're using level 30 IO's so that's fine. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem you're describing.

The other big item is turning off travel powers and several people have mentioned that. You wouldn't necessarily assume it to be the case, but the travel powers are generally HUGE endurance hogs. Powers like Hover and Combat Jumping are not in that category - they are intended to be used in combat and use minimal END.

Since the game has been around for 7 years, I would say it's much more reasonable to think you're doing something wrong than that there is some great unnoticed defect in the game that makes characters unplayable.
  16. It is meant to be that way. That's technically not the Chantry - it's Black Swan's shadow plane. So it's similar to the Shadow Shard, but different. The 'fog' effect is intentional.
  17. Maria Jenkins pissed me off. Well, really, it was Detective McLord that was annoying. I do a Safeguard mission and he gives me 3 contacts to choose from. None are Maria. I do a Safeguard and he gives me 2 contacts to choose from. Neither is Maria. I do a Safeguard and he automatically gives me the last contact. Vermin!

Anyway, doing a couple of missions for Unai Kemen got me Maria as a contact and I only had to do one of her missions to get the arc. So we're good to go. Since I have the actual arc, there are no level restrictions on who can join and we can have Heroes, Vigilantes and Rogues attend.
  18. AT's, eh? When I saw the thread title, I put "moron" in the first blank and started thinking up things for the second blank.

As I recall, someone did a study for a research paper and found the average age in this game was 28.

  22. I don't know why it wouldn't come up in a search. I'm pretty sure it exists, since I'm an operator on it.

Fixed that up a bit. I don't think it has anything to do with the age of the game. You'll find them everywhere. Fortunately not in large numbers (usually).

I guess. I would have said that flippers do the game community a service by crushing the hopes and dreams of the little people. After all, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

I think we need to look at the proportionate difficulty and gauge the expected time accordingly. Let's see. How long did it take to reduce the requirement for the last healing badge? That involved changing a single number. On that scale, the Keyes trial should be fixed in time for the election . . . in 2112. Or perhaps 2116.
