Badge hunting character?
You should be able to badge on any AT. Use whichever one you think you will enjoy badging with the most or use both. I find badging to be fun on my kat/inv crapper and thug/dark mm.
If you look at Badge-Hunter and City Info tracker you will see different ATs and different powersets.
Pick a character that you don't mind playing almost exclusively for a few thousand hours over the course of several years.
Of the two you mentioned, you've probably already found that the Brute is easier to solo with, and while Corruptors are always welcome on teams, you're not really going to have any problems finding a team with your Brute either.

If you're going to be "serious" (read, "Must have shiny badge(s) now!), may think about an AT with some type of heal for the heal badges. Granted, you can always use Aid Other from the Medicine pool.
Then again, I'm not sure if the Arena heal bug has been fixed or not (where you have the Longbow Boss 2 pet that heals....set it to auto while it heals the other gladiator pets which gets you progress to the heal badges).
My main badger is a Kinetics/Rad. Blast Defender and has worked out well for me. Any toon can be a badger...just depends on how dedicated you are to it

Another thing to consider. Minor, but still something to think about.
The defeat badges. Consider something with AoE attacks. It will make the hunting go faster.
Sure, you can use Judgement, but that's got a pretty slow recharge.
Again, this is minor.

Not the last time I checked, which was a few months ago. It might have been fixed since then. The bug where you could heal a buff pet was fixed a long time ago.

Ah okay, thanks Not that it matters to me but was curious.

Interesting. I thought they had fixed all instances outside the Arena where you could get healing credit off uninjured targets. Is it the Cimerorans that break this, or the Incarnate power?

The 3 Destiny powers in question first add HP to the target, then applies a heal to that target.

Ah I see...so even though the mobs behind Imperious don't take any damage (well I know they get attacked randomly sometimes but...nothing serious from what I've seen); the +hp then heal makes it look like you healed them for x amount?
Interesting.

The answer to the original question is simple. Any AT will do.
The one hint that will help you if you are getting serious about getting a lot of badges... pick the oldest toon you ever created. Or... at least the one toon that have the most "anniversary badges". Those cant be awarded, if you missed the dates.
For instance, ATM my main badger (ss/invul brute) have 1208 badges, but i realised my ice/ice dom, have 2 anniversary badges, my brute never got. So i started badging with it too. When
I'll be done, if ever I complete the 2 , they will both have the same amount, but the Dom will have 2 more badges.

Thanks for all the replies.
Sadly, I can't use any of my older characters from '04 as my brother and I decided to reactivate only one account, and his won the coin flip.
I think I'm just going to play them through trials and task forces, and just go with the one I have more fun playing, since it seems it's not a huge difference between ATs.
Just a quick question, for a badge hunting character, is there any specific archetype that's better suited for this? I have a Brute and a Corruptor, and I'm unsure which one I should make rogue and attempt to get as many badges as I can with em. Thanks for any replies.
