Will you be butthurt if we're not butthurt and, in fact, don't care?

In theory, yes. In practice, not always.

The only completely reliable method I have found is to FIRST type:
    /hideall

    THEN:
    /unhideall
  3. Small note: The Kismet +accuracy IO that everyone talks about is not actually +accuracy. It's +to hit, which is better. Yes, the IO says it's +accuracy. It's wrong.

P.S. It had the wrong text last time I checked, which was not recently. Maybe it got fixed.....

It would work fine. I have a bind that tries to activate every single combat buff pet. A character can only have one and it works just fine to activate whichever one that character happens to have.

Also, is there some way I can modify it so that "Frenzy" always refers to the Alignment Power, and not the Crab Spider power?
Dunno. I know you can more narrowly identify some powers by listing them with more detail like Defender.Dark Miasma.Moonbeam. Not sure if something like that would work here. And, if it would, I don't know what the 'long version' name would be for the alignment power.

err... maybe. The problem with SSD's is that they are currently a relatively new technology. The solution to data loss is a back-up copy. Every system I build (for myself) gets 2 hard drives. The main drive and a second one just for back-up copies of my data. I have a batch file automatically make copies of everything each night while I'm asleep. Aside from a back-up in case the first drive fails, this deals with the problem of realizing you shouldn't have made those edits in a document - 2 seconds after you hit Save. (I also burn back-ups to DVD regularly in case the entire system fries. Plus, I keep a copy at my office, in case my house burns down. I don't lose data. Ever.)

BTW, please don't think I'm down on SSD's. I ordered the parts for a new system last week and my 128GB SATA III SSD was delivered today. Now I just need a motherboard... and a CPU... and a case... All the rest should arrive by Wednesday.

Well, the red text is the only part that I consider bad. The rest seems a pretty trivial issue.
  7. I was running Maria's and Tina's arcs for my SG, for Portal Jockey. Having read about this issue, we followed up by doing the first 3 missions of Maria's old arc - ding! Dimensional Warder.

Or maybe we're just right, and the devs have gauged us accurately. Just because you're not happy with the game doesn't mean it's doing poorly or the customers are unhappy.

You might as well say something similar to WoW players: "But everyone looks the same, aside from the equipment! You guys are too easily satisfied, I think."

A suggestion, to be sure in the future: turn on your combat monitoring and have it display your positional defenses. I have the key numbers displayed on all my defense or resist based characters. If I'm getting debuffed, I want to know it before I'm facedown in the dirt.

Oh... right.... because re-phrasing something like "So when did you stop beating your wife?" makes all the difference.

To answer your question: I think NO, unless each freespec is tied to a specific build. Otherwise, everyone will just activate the second build and never use it, except for the purpose of getting an extra respec.

I don't care about the noise and effects at the market, but if I could have a market terminal in my base right next to my salvage storage and invention worktable, that would be sweet.

Maybe. There is such a thing as a 'bad customer' that a business is better off without.

Perhaps my saying "deliberately missable" has made you think I'm implying that they've done it maliciously. I actually think it's more a matter of negligence and/or incompetence.
Or perhaps it was a deliberate design decision that you happen to disagree with.

You can only get so many tips missions a day, I think 5 is the max within a 24 hour period, does that sound right?
You can get an unlimited number (you might be dismissing tips where the mission doesn't sound fun) but you can only do 5 for alignment progress. That will fill up your... um.... alignment slots? I don't know what they're called.

    Quote:
Not sure if that 24 hour time frame for more tips is an exact 24 hours since my last log in with that toon?
It's 20 hours and it tracks for each slot separately. When you fill a lot, it starts a 20 hour timer for that specific slot. It does not matter whether you are logged in or not during that time.

This morning, I thought I would run a toon red side on some hero missions. I ran at least four radio missions in Grandville and one mission in Cimeroa and I received no tips which I thought was unusual
Sounds like bad luck. I've gone multiple missions with zero tips. Last night I got 3 tips in under 5 minutes in the same mission.
  14. Right. The alert message is about "unusual Clockwork activity in Kings Row". There are 3 possible spots where the Clocks might be assembling the Paladin. Stop them (by attacking the partial construct) and keep them from completing it for like 10 minutes and you get the badge.

Definitely. And this is key: I see way too many people saying (in this thread) that they haven't seen any 'good' reasons from people who dislike the power suppression.

Newsflash: You don't get to be the arbiter of what is a 'good' reason.

  18. Yeah but, in this case, it doesn't really matter. In the PvP badge situation, you could get the badge without undertaking the (relatively difficult) task involved. In this situation, you get the badge for sitting on your hands for a week.

Right. This is key. You can get the first respec badge at level 24, 38, 41 or 50. The first time you are eligible to claim a respec, and do so, you get the first accolade. You can earn all 3 after hitting 50 and you'll get them in the same order as someone who does them at 24, 34 and 44. And it makes no difference which trial you do. You can do the 'third' trial 3 times, or one of each, or the 2nd one twice and 1st one once.

After some testing, we determined that it works like so:

System first looks at the next rank down.
Then looks to see if any toon of that rank has logged in within the demotion timeframe (ie, within the 15-45 days your SG has set it to).
Of those who have logged in within that time window, the star goes to the most senior toon (join date).

IF no toon of that rank has logged in within the set demotion time frame, the system goes to the next rank down... and so on.
The only problem is; the experiences of some people (like myself) completely contradicts the system you describe. We were never able to be sure whether those rules were wrong or a lot of people were experiencing bugged behavior.

Anyway, that's all out the window now because we don't know what changes may have been implemented with GR. Our only clue is the previously quoted patch note item.... which, of course, only tells us how it is INTENDED to work.

You can use 'common IOs' instead of 'set IOs'. With common IOs, damage is damage. There are no restrictions regarding melee, ranged, PBAoE, etc.

Wrong. It *IS* normal - for pets and turrets. The word 'buff' has a specific meaning in this game. If you're going to use a word like 'buffed', you need to apply it correctly.

Irrelevant. The OP was posting actual to hit numbers from his combat log. These are the final numbers AFTER defense is taken into account.

OP: You can't count the entire string of 7 attacks. When your to hit number is bouncing up and down, like the first few, it resets the streakbreaker. I think those four results in a row of 73.00 are a problem, though, unless the first one doesn't count due to the change from the previous to hit value. I'm not certain exactly where the reset occurs when you have varying to hit values.

Nope. You might as well ask, "If my computer died, doesn't it stand to reason that it can also happen to my refrigerator?" Technically, yes, any device can just stop working. But, just because one died, there's no basis to draw conclusions about an unrelated device.

I haven't lost anything from those places in over 5 years of playing. I also leave stuff in the market for long-term storage. Never lost anything there, either.
