  1. Actually, I was only half joking. There is a section on the main page under 'Game News' called 'Patch Notes'. I'll give you three guess what is NOT there.

    BORING!
Seriously, every one of my tanks has a different primary and different secondary from every other. Sadly, my current tank is level 43 and, after that, I've run out of armor sets.

And last question: Is tanker taunt autohit in PvE or not?
The Taunt power is auto-hit in PvE.
Your taunt AURA power may or may not be (they're not all identical). Also, the aura and gauntlet are never auto-hit vs AV's and GM's. But the Taunt power is. Always. (In PvE.)
  3. <yawn> ho hum. <ahem>
    Where are the patch notes?

You can. And this way, you can check the entire team at a glance, rather than opening the info window 7 times.

For sure it's over 5. I don't think I have ever tried to monitor more than 10.

Tough to answer when you start with a false premise. i.e. that defenders can't solo. They solo just fine. Not as fast as scrappers or blasters but, duh, they're not mostly about damage.

Oh, sure they have. I keep the information in a text file on my desktop. It's a safe bet that, if I'm playing CoH, my computer is on and I'm sitting at it.

    "CoH VERY unstable under win7"
No, it's not. It works great under Win7. I'm running Win7 Pro 64 bit and it runs much better than it did under XP.
  13. We didn't ASSUME anything. The quote that YOU posted shows it done WRONG. If you did it right, why didn't you post the email where it's done correctly?

Yes, but I don't know their INTENT. I can only perceive the RESULTS.
What I see, is that a choice has been taken away from us.

This. On my badger/main character, I have over 5,000 reward merits and over 6,000 Vanguard merits - just in case they introduce something cool that I must have RIGHT NOW. Considering how much it costs to create more advanced components, I think 800 to 1,000 shards would be a reasonable stockpile. I have...... I think..... 14.

P.S. That's AFTER having slotted my uncommon boost.

Nonsense. That explanation doesn't fit my preconceived notions. Come up with a new theory!

What was? That you found one person who feels that way? He obviously doesn't speak for everyone.

In my case, the answers would be yes, yes, no and no.

Oh, and this bit: "Whether we are willing to admit it or not," is merely arrogant presumption on his part.

    Actually, they are.

"The Well takes many forms throughout the universe."

(Doesn't anybody watch the game movie dialogue any more?)

Getting their powers from Crey is just another manifestation of the Well.

    Sorry.
Crey is apparently a manifestation of the Well in your imagination.
Sorry. There is ZERO indication in the game that they are Incarnates and ample indication that they are NOT. (i.e. We are told very plainly where their powers came from.)

Oh, look! Your own quote answers your question. It says right there that the new incarnates will struggle. No fast track for them!

Google did. They have a bajillion hard drives in their data centers. Some of their engineers published a paper, "Failure Trends in a Large Disk Drive Population". PDF of the paper is here. It only covers hard drives, but it's something.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I think this arc is poorly designed. As an introduction to the Incarnate system, I think it's terrible. It's difficult to believe that this content was unveiled in the same issue as those two new 20-29 arcs. Night and day, there. This feels like a throw-back to issue 7 or 8.

I think this arc needs a complete overhaul. A heavy-handed (and kinda dumb) band-aid ain't gonna do the trick.

Pulling is a valid tactic in the game. Seems to me it would've been better to work with that (make his bifurcations go with him if he's pulled) than work against it. But I guess that would've required too much effort.

This change doesn't make the encounter more difficult, it only makes it potentially more aggravating, and makes me (and likely others) more inclined to simply mow over it in the typical fashion that allegedly isn't supposed to work in this arc (and yet works just fine, in my experience).

The arc is presented as a personal journey, it should've been designed as such. If people are saying "get a team", that is, to me, an indication of design failure. I understand it was probably a rush job, but c'mon. It's supposed to be the doorway to all this new shiny. It's shouldn't feel like the same ol' same old.

This game already has a problem with limited options for dealing with an encounter. So, narrowing the options by which this particular encounter can be dealt with might not have been the smartest move. I'm just sayin'.
Okay, if you're going to be in 'my camp', we need to ditch the parts I highlighted in yellow. I have NO PROBLEM with the arc as originally designed. I do NOT think it needs an overhaul. I LIKE it.

My only issue is with the change to Trapdoor as it sounds to me like the devs saying, "Play it OUR way. This is the RIGHT way to do it."

Burning BUILDING? I think you mean "burning mercenary floating fortress"!
