CoH VERY unstable under win7

Ok, I've tried uninstallind and reinstalling several times on different drives altogether, but I can never get this problem fixed. The game is very very tempramental on my computer, everytime I go to change any of the Ultra graphics settings IE shadows or ambient occlusion, if I pass a certain part on the bar it crashes. Everytime I try and access and SG base it crashes. Sometimes when I bring up costume selection it crashes. If I try and re-scale the window (I play windowed mode) It crashes.

It seems almost anything I do will cause a crash. I'm not sure why this is happening. I've gotten all the latest graphics drivers, etc. I have 2 GTX470's an i7 2.6Ghz and 12 GB RAM. I've disabled SLI, as it isnt supported, and I still get problems. Is there any way of solving this? Someone let me know, it gets really hard to play the game when it crashes so often (and by crash I mean the window will freeze and it will just sit there until I get the dialog to end program) Some one help Its driving me MAD!!

It's been just fine for me.

Someone will come along w/ links to a couple of programs that will provide data about your machine and set up.

Pull one video card and see if it still happens. I know you have SLI disabled, but try it anyways.

Ok I just tried that, same problems persist. I'm not sure what else to try, the only time it doesnt seem to crash is in safe mode.

For more help, try the "Technical Issues and Bugs" forum. This forum is more the in-game "where are the Lost in Kings Row" kinda stuff.

No, it's not. It works great under Win7. I'm running Win7 Pro 64 bit and it runs much better than it did under XP.
I also am running Win7 (home version) and it is great though when I do encounter persistent issues I discover my video drivers are out of date.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Yep, I've been running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit since release and haven't had any issues running the game.

I run under Win7. My only issue is the game will eventually crash, but that's after 2-3 hours of intensive use. If I run two task forces in a row, I've learned to quit the game in between. That solves the problem.

Only crashes I've had, ever, on my Win 7 install of CoH are some kind of problem zoning into my SG base.

i have no issues with 2x gtx460s in sli under win 7 home premium x64. the one issue i had and fixed was i crashed after i19 came out, i redownloaded the nvidia drivers and reinstalled them, problem went away. so try reinstalling the nvidia drivers, use the clean install option if you haven't

Generally, the only crashing issue I have is when I spend more then 3hrs in the base editor.

By the way, when mentioning Win7, make sure to mention if it's x32 or x64

i've been running Win 7 x64 for months now, and it's been far more stable than my prior XP install. Crashes occur very rarely, and usually involve being logged on for long periods of time and combat with a very large number of entities involved.

It's worth noting that i have a far more powerful processor, more powerful video card, twice the RAM and a faster HD than the XP system had. i'm sure that had something to do with the improvement.
