  1. NCSoft is also BANNED from my wallet FOREVER.

    The way this is being handled shows a complete lack of customer loyalty or respect, its sicking this is seems ok to them.

    Had I not already picked up GW2 id never buy it now. The only thing that's going to keep me playing that is giving the dev team a job but ill be damned if ill be picking up any of there in game RMT crap and once it hits full pay to win ill be gone, dame shame I enjoyed gw1 from launch.

  2. Good ideas for synergy are as follows as seen on test and in beta, they are not in any particular order just putting up what comes to mind first and so on.

    Defender/Cor
    DP staked -dmg effect can effectively get sustained 70% debuff going (note with building numbers have been shown in the 90's for ST)

    Sonic -res stacks well with many of the effects of NA (recommend taking dark as a epic to gain even more dmg)

    Psy -rech from psy adds a good second layer of protection with the -dmg NA puts out

    Dark since NA has a Tohit debuff aura more tohit debuff just keeps you alive longer

    Troller

    Plant, This is a no brainier but plant makes everything awesome

    Dark again provides extra -tohit handy to stack

    MM

    Anything should work well here lots of buffs to bolster pet performance


    As always all statements are IMOHO and YMMV

    Demons might be better as the -res can be stacked with NA's

    Exactly, many log in at odd times or on off days, The issue is simply if you took a week long vacation and came back and your fav alt had been set to ginaric because of something like this you would be pissed no company wants to deal with something like that so they will not do it.

    The back lash could be far worse then the praise they could get, IMHO the idea to drop the unique requirement is a far better idea for a solution the the problem that is real.

    In the last few years i have resorted to translating every name i want into Latin...i have yet to not get a name i want since starting that but they can seem odd
  4. With out knowing how your powers are slotted or for that matter what powers you have selected it is very difficult to give you an answer as to how to improve your build.

    At http://www.cohplanner.com/ you can get a hold of a program most of us know its called Mid's Hero Designer it works just like the in game enhancement screen basically allowing you to see the stats of your alt with real numbers, using this as a tool you can post the build your alt is using atm and we will be able to give far better insights into any problems.


    For controllers Elec/Kin is fairly good mix of tools, You said you have incarnates unlocked so i'm going to take a blind stab and say your post lvl 38 and have Fulcrum shift

    The best option for any /Kin is to apply some sort of group control, in the case of elec that would be an aoe hold or its well known sleep patch, then move into melee range and fire off the Fulcrum this should all but DMG cap you, I recommend taking an AoE dmg power in your epic power pools to aid in clearing spawns but for the most part that is the only tactic you need to know.
  5. Water is fairly good for liquid and gas as it dose have a steam power so for solid and plasma id say Ice minpulation for a blaster or for def/corr cold - sonic - time - kin

    Cold gives you alot of gases like effects and some solid but drops plasma till epic pools

    Sonic covers your gases and solid np as its energy you are making vibrate at such speed it like a solid wall, you don't see them often and it looks cool, mostly a buff set low and mid lvl's

    Time again gives you alot of gas like effects, idk if it could also pass for plasma if colored well but it is a great set

    Kin actually fits your concept very well as it allows you to change the density of matter making it heavy or light with speed boost and increased density, plasma will be a swing job to make it fit but you get alot of self buff potential

  7. This is meant as a suggestion/discussion, for the concept Lance Melee

    What is a Lance? A lance is a long thrusting weapon normally associated with knights on horse back.

    Why would a Lance be used in CoH? Lances are a Heroic or Champion weapon, In a world were one guy is carrying around a train crossing sine and proclaiming justice for all I see no reason why some one would not heft a big **** like stick.

    Were would its niche be? Single target dmg with some narrow cones for effect making positioning important.

    (note all numbers proposed are for discussion purposes, they are based off existing powers and effects, and assume tank modifiers as they are mid ground Bruising effect has been left out as it is a tank inherent)
    All lance ability’s have extra range do to the size of the weapon they also may knock your foes down with the force of its impact.

    1 Quick Strike (st)
    This attack delivers a quick hit for low end cost the bulky nature of your weapon may even knock foes down.

  8. The AT I have the most 50's of is Blasters saying that I can tell you YES Blasters have issues.

    They however do not "suck" a well built blaster can do a 8 man spawn but that is at an extreme high end build, most scrappers and brutes can do the same with half or less effort.

    You can look at any of the secondary and shake your head at the problems they have atm most people swear by MM because it works better then the rest and well a massively OP ability that can -regen stunningly well.

    The AT has come up in the world since defiance change but they do need another look, ONe thing that bugs me is they have this strange thing with changing blast sets when they give them to Blasters Psy, Rad, Dark, all had changes made to "Balance" them for blaster making them worse then there Corr and Def counterparts we wanted the original sets proliferated we got poor clones.

    It seems to be a DEV fear to make blasters "to good" but in doing that they have made Melee AoE seemingly the super dmg of CoX.

    Blasters don't need Deff or Res as they are ment to kill everything before they need it, most can't do that as easily. What then need is secondary rework, manipulations sets fail a large number of powers aren't useful a large portion of the time(devices i'm looking at you) some have tools that sound great but don't work as advertised or do so at such a weak job at what they do.

    I really hated the stabilizing of the T1 and T2 blasts some sets (it really messed with Rad blast) should have had the fast recharges.

    I could keep going but i'm tired and rambling :P

  10. Well 7 pages of "feedback" and I don't think I saw even one positive thing said, I hope some one takes notice of that.

    *Price is to high at 800pp
    *looks like junk (almost as bad as baby new year)
    *INF buff is next to worthless to any one who can use the market(WW/BM)
    *And some find the very idea an Irish stereotype and offensive

  11. I'm sorry but this one is such a epic fail its borderline sad.

    In this game and at this point in its history Inf is the largest joke this community has, any VIP can make a few mil in a single log in with out trying throw in actually trying and drops cash flow is a non issue.

    In fact cash flow is so much of a none issue the Devs have put in how many massive INF sink holes just to bleed the stuff out, Crafting, Prestige conversions, Market kickback just to name a few.

    This pet would be useful IF it had the "windfall buff" but it dose not it only buffs INF that's pointless, and why was nothing else listed in the store, all the sales were just left out of the post, sloppy just sloppy.

    I know you guys are rushing head long to keep up the pace of this dumb once a week release plan marketing has forced on you but its starting to show in your work. I beg you just slow down and put your all in to this stuff.
  12. The power Combat Invisibility might not be strong enough to give you true Invisibility.

    Most +Stealth powers need to be stacked with some other form of stealth to just walk past spawns.

    However atm i cant seem to find the stats fro this temp ill do a bit more digging.
  13. Under Gloves options there are three sub areas the top is style of glove this also covers all the typed and themed gloves,

    The second is texture so by selecting spiked glove from the first option the second option will then allow you to switch between all the diff types of spiked gloves

    the third option is color patterns allowing you to place diff colors and patterns on to the texture from option 2
  14. Someday we may be lucky and get poop power customization, at that point the issue of random flypose would be solved as we have the tech now to use alternative animations today, something we did not have back when this was first rolled out.

    The flypose emot system is a dated attempt at giving us customization in a power we firmly had none for for the time it was introduced it was a good work around.

    1. We can make better pirates with the CC as is (give us the shoulder bird)
    2. This thing dose not work with stealth powers making it useless on a whole AT
    3. It is purely cosmetic and only makes you look like an NPC
    4. 600 PP and that's on "sale"

    If this is your plan, to nickel and dime us for junk just so you can make a profit, its disgraceful. This is a money grab, and you and your marketing team should feel bad about it.

You simply needed something arbitrary to throw in to make our prior efforts useless and force us to grind your new content. You have successfully created the game Jack Emmert wanted. And I'd put money on it happening again next patch. We'll end up with MacGuffin Merits and Incarnate T-Shirts to collect, and they can only be found in the shiney new mission you have to jump through flaming hoops while reciting Shakspeare from memory to complete. Oh, and don't forget about the 999999999999 adds that spawn while you're doing this.

    i'm scared to say this i fear this outcome and yet it seems the most likely course, this game was about the journey as every one likes to say ...this is not that anymore this is raid grinding gawd dame it i hate wow for this crap and now its here forced on us we have to do it there is no other way....other then not play high end content.

    the first slot was doable through normal everyday content that every one did, you didnt have to do the same thing over and over in fact the wst made sure you could not do the same thing over and over, so we went for trying to avoid the norm that all mmog do at top lvl to the exact same thing every mmog dose at high end lvl BLEEP

    the 20-40 TF's are good i love the large range on them but most of the other systems and "improvements" feel more like conforming attempts to the slandered mmog mold

    The actual three hour conversation i had just describing some of the villain groups form CoH to a co-worker who was interested in the game (they have been playing now for two years...it was an epic conversation)

    And finding a group of players who i team with regularly, who make dialog mid combat 2/3 of the fun....even if it dose result in mass death the laughs were worth the debit :P

  23. If i recall it only shows up on hero AT versions of ShadowFall all villan SF's do not show the effect, since red side powers were slitly higher graphics then blue this could explan the diff
  24. All salvage must be found or goten from the market, I highly recomend never just deleting salvage its inf you could use latter on going to wast.

    The game will however open a pop up window if that salvage you are trying to sell/delete is used in a recipe you have.

    I would make all three of those powers inherent, or at least Placate and Hide (since AS is thematically tied to the powerset).     • Regen: Venom. A strong -regen debuff.
    • Dark: Blind. A strong -tohit debuff.
    • Elec: Synaptic Overload. A sleep mez and -end/recovery debuff. Like a single target Static Field.

    • SR: Hamstring. A strong -speed and -recharge debuff.
    • Nin: Dart (use the Knives of Artemis hand crossbow animation!). A short but powerful Hold.
    • WP: Nerve Pinch. A strong, long-lasting Stun.
    Or if we want uniformity and something everyone can use, give them a short-ranged Bruising debuff, -resistance to all for 10 seconds. Heck, make it special: it doesn't cause aggro or break hide until the effect ends - that way it can be used to set up a boss for an AS.

    If a Stalker can debuff targets it helps the entire team. If a Stalker's debuffs are somewhat immune to GM, AV, EB and Boss debuff resistances it would make them even more useful against those kinds of enemies.
    Now that is an interesting idea.
