Incarnate Abilities

When will we be getting Incarnate Powers that simulate the Movement abilities of Incarnates like Synapse and Neuron?

Neither of these Incarnates are subject to Travel Power Supression, so it is reasonable to assume there must be an Incarnate ability which addresses that.

I'm not sure if this is true any more. While he doesn't have any during the Praetorian story arcs, he seemed to have super speed (of some sort) on the Tin Mage TF. At the very least, after he was pulled away from Bobcat he seemed to move pretty quickly. Though it's possible I'm remembering incorrectly.

No, no, you're remembering correctly.

Neuron does indeed have superspeed, as does his counterpart, Synapse.

And neither of them suffer from Travel Power Suppression.

And both of them are Incarnates. ("The Well takes many forms throughout the universe.")

And your basis for this assertion is... what?

Is there anywhere in actual game lore that they are described as Incarnates? Is there anywhere it's even hinted?

Using the same standard of proof i'm going to assert our old friend Jenkins is also an Incarnate. He drank some soda from a soda machine at some point, and, well, the soda machine was just another manifestation of the Well. That's how he becomes a Huntsman later on. My arbitrarily designated Incarnate NPC is more awesome than yours!

Crey is apparently a manifestation of the Well in your imagination.
Sorry. There is ZERO indication in the game that they are Incarnates and ample indication that they are NOT. (i.e. We are told very plainly where their powers came from.)

Well Jenkins is still an Incarnate just because i said so! So there!

This thread is amusing because it's a paper thin (at best) pretext to complain about movement suppression again over four years after it was implemented by attempting to invent a link between an NPC's unrelated behaviors and the Incarnate System. Silly at best.

While there are MMOs out there without movement suppression there are a couple mechanics that tend to go with it that make it less than ideal for some players as part of game balance.
1) Almost all attacks can be interrupted, so if you do move while activating an attack it's canceled.
2) You have to maintain direct facing at an opponent to hit it with an attack.

I don't disagree with some of this but the sig in question is a little over-the-top.

*facepalm* Seriously...

Mobs in game do things we can't because they're dumb as a box of rocks. They need to cheat to be challenging.

Travel suppression isn't going away. Deal with it.

Except, they were never meant to be offensive/defensive options, really.

And while it's not stun, SS does lead to Whirlwind

Most travel powers have an offensive option with them (Whirlwind for Speed, Air Supremecy for Flight, Jump kick for Leaping).

They may not be very GOOD offensive options, but they're there.

Games which do not have one or both of these things -- which explicitly allow the kiting the anti-suppression people want -- have extremely akward-looking animations, where the attacks are animated entirely independent of the legs (or whatever moves the character around).

This is one of the more interesting uses of the word "reasonable" I've seen in a long time.

Plus, of all the things to ask for under the guise of this excuse, unsuppressed travel is a weird one to ask for. Especially since neither has travel powers and thus no travel power suppression. Take swift and sprint and slot the heck out of them, and you too can run like the gods completely unsuppressed. I believe that combination is faster than Synapse is designed to run, actually.

If you're going to ask for something using this crazy theory, you should at least ask for something you can't get with a power pool and a few slots. Purple triangles, or 20,000 points of health, perhaps. I'd like Genesis to allow me to hand out task forces named after me. 'Cause why should Synapse have all the fun.
