We are talking about Kronos here right?
Here's Werner's DM/SR
http://www.youtube.com/WernerCoH#p/u/11/fwho6tTFhAM
Was trying to look for PF's Claws/SR video doing it but couldn't find it... -
some from my playlist...
Kashmir
Immigrant Song
Achilles Last Stand
Hells Bells
Highway to Hell
Sympathy for the Devil
Paint it Black -
pretty sure PowerForge and Werner had done this and probably a few others. Could be wrong though...
-
I think it was a bug back then. It was flaged as unique but it was still allowing us to slot more than 1. I remember having the set on BU, FA and tactis on my kat/regen.
-
NP
But Werner did all the work
Would love to see how you go around on building your Katana/Fire. Getting a headache trying to come up with a new build for mine ... -
Quote:2>3>2>4 for no DAWent and made myself a Katana/Fire Armor...
What's the best DPS chain for Katana? Is it GC - SD - GD?
Is that chain even possible? GC - SD - GC - GD, perhaps?
What if I throw in 1 Divine Avalance per chain? 2 DA's per chain?
1>2>4>2>3>2>4>2 for 1 DA

Here you...

Follow UP - needs to be slotted as an attack
FF +recharge - does next to nothing for you
Defense - You only really need 45% defense on SR
Slash - put in the heel -res here
Strike - needs to be slotted up unless you're planning on using Evis in your ST chain which I wouldn't really recomend
Edit:
Dropping SJ and keeping most of the IO's the same, here's what I came up with.
Could chain FU>Slash>Focus>Strike with a slight gap.

Quote:If you plan to dip into IO sets and have a sizable budget, I have a different perspective: the advantage of a high-end SR over the other softcap-capable sets (Invuln, WP, Shields) is that you can softcap without the Fighting pool much more easily.
The way I see it... not having the Fighting pool on SR is more of a dis-advantage -
If you could get to the softcap without weave then it's fine without
But tough adds that extra resists and picking it up just as a mule is a mistake I think -
A whole lot of blues...
A pocket kin -
Running FU > Slash > Focus > Swipe on my claws/sr without hasten.
And going Strike in place of Swipe would lower your recharge requirment. -
Quote:Howz about a little friendly side by side comparison? My WP/Spines easily solos at +2/8, and is my most consistently safe character at working the Roman wall. I can't see Regen ever performing at a comparable level, especially given that you live or die by your click powers, and click powers mean you are not attacking.
My Claws/Regen to your Spines/WP?
See how fast/safe we could work the wall. Romans would be good for it since they some what negate Claws biggest mitigation.
Winner gets a cookie!!!

Here's what I'm messin around with on a some what budget build for my Claws/Regen

Putting my vote for Regen just cause..... well it's Regen
-
Quote:6 slot that with recharges and go from there ...I used to slot a full set of guassian's because I didn't want damage as it killed my fodder for soloing AV's. After I pumped up the build a bit with PvP IO's, I think I actually slotted 4 recharges (yes, over slotted) to get the power as close to permanent as I could. I've always been much more interested in sustaining soul drain's buff then I was in the damage it actually does.
-
Quote:Not sure about this...Regen does get better. It's never going to do what a well built /SR can do IMO, but it's still a fun set to play.
A well built Regen can do some crazy things
Quote:I have 2 scrappers with super reflexes, one of which was also solo, and they never had any problems from day 1. I have a couple of other scrappers too (shield and fire) and up until I rolled this new gal, I'd always thought scrappers had it easy the first 10-14 levels (endurance being their downfall after that and before 20).
Not that the /regen has been impossible. I just have to be more careful with her than I ever was with my others. To me, the "blapper" comment was right on target. -
Quote:Well, it is rather nice to have that 20% recharge be covered from your secondaryNow I'm curious what I did. Looks like five Hecatombs (sans dam/rech) in Smite plus one common endurance IO. Midnight Grasp has two Crushing Impacts (dam/end/rech, acc/dam/rech) and four Makos (dam/end, dam/rech, quad, proc). So it looks like I wanted the purple proc in the most frequent attack, and then was after the hit point and damage set bonuses. If I didn't need sustainable endurance usage, I'd have probably stuck just about anything other than the endurance IO in Smite's last slot.
Definitly go with the Smite slotting, MG might need a bit more recharge on some builds though.
5 pieces CI (-dam/end) + end/rech.
4 pieces Mako (-dam/end & acc/dam) + dam/rech Heca and a Nucleolus. -
Cause DM is so overrated!!!
You don't need no stinkin heal!!!
Now persuade me to play one... -
Quote:Well if you move Scorch between Gloom and Incinerate like so... GFS > Gloom > Scorch > Incinerate > Cremate > Scorch, should put the recharge down a bit. I don't have the numbers infront of me but maybe if you put Fire Sword in place of Scorch, might be able to lower down the recharge more.GFS > Gloom > Incinerate > Scorch > Cremate > Scorch
Recharge values:
1) GFS 66% (131% pre-Granite)
2) Gloom 42% (107% pre-Granite)
3) Incinerate 27% (92% pre-Granite)
4) Cremate 0% (65% pre-Granite)
5) Scorch 75% (140% pre-Granite) <--place Hecatombs here
So you will need some global recharge to drive this chain in Granite, but it shouldn't take very much. -
Gonna go with Fire here with gloom.
I actually leveled one of those to 50. Was thinking if I wanted to take down an agro cap of AV's... Well what's better then Granite? -
Shields? meh....
I don't play mine much anymore... got a bit boring for me
missing in that thread is a 228 DPS build I had on my claws/SR. A DB should be able to put out the same or higher numbers.
A Katana/SR built properly should be able to put up 240+ DPS, so it'd be in the middle of all those shielders...
But then again a Katana/Shield could possible reach the 300 mark... Guess who'd be one of the first ones to roll one of those IF that were allowed to happen...
