Quote:I am not a huge Tanker but I must admit one of the most fun moments I had in the game was when I had a Tank surrounded by something like 8 Tsoo and suddenly I noticed they had stopped attacking me. When I looked, I realized they had all run out of endurance! They had punched themselves to exhaustion and my green bar had barely moved. Felt like a Super Hero for reals
Tanking loses out to damage in the game because almost all of the rewards come from doing damage. But sometimes, real tanking is fun. We get to play the ole, "Is that all you got?" attitude of being able to take everything the other side has to give; of the extreme tough guy. At times, that is more fun than a simple-minded Brute or Scrapper, who is only thinking "Kill! Kill! Kill!" -
Quote:That is disappointing. I had a loyalist character I had intentions of turning resistance after the first morality mission but keep doing loyalist stuff as an undercover resistance member.basically, if you start as a loyalist, then betray to resistance, but do loyalist missions, you cannot call calvin to screw the loyalists, and vice versa. i found this out the hard way. i suspect it is what you're trying to do as well. check this thread for more info.

Great job!
I'm gonna go ahead and vote for "Game On" because I really liked your last take on a Guild song. -
In addition to that thread, I was thinking specifically about the All Things Art threads and BaBs "granite" thread.
-
This thread is interesting when there are about a half a dozen threads elsewhere in these forums started by Devs specifically asking players for their opinions on things they want and those answers are translating into future plans for the game.

In the past GM response was very good but a few weeks ago I was in the last mission of an Arc that was a defeat all and a mob was stuck in a wall. What stunk is he could attack me but I couldn't attack him (I had no area of effect damage and I couldn't target him).
I petitioned and waited...and waited. Finally I had to give up after 45 minutes (it was late and I had to log). That was my one bad experience with GMs. -
Quote:What changes things is the fact that a direct competitor releases in early November. I expect that I19 is being fast tracked to release before then.I'd agree with that time frame. Its already September and they are still working on I-19's release. Historically they don't like to throw too much into one short span of time and around the end of October they will be giving us two weeks of Halloween stuff to play .. this always includes 2 full weekends for those that can only play during those time periods and generally ends in early November. So a Mid to late November release of issue 19 would work out about right... spaced out to give us time to recover from Halloween and still early enough not to overlap with the Winter events which always falls toward the end of December. Hey they DID say 19 would be out some time this fall.. and fall ends in December.
{SPECIAL NOTE} The above statement is strictly theory based on past practices and is in no way an ACTUAL indication of the release of Issue 19. Anyone found to be quoting Wicked Wendy in game and saying "Issue 19 will be here in early November" will be found, detained and given ten lashes with a wet noodle. I am NOT an employee of NC Soft and have NO inside information of the plans they have to release anything.
LOL ... since there is always SOMEONE out there that reads this stuff and decides it is written in blood I figured I'd add that. Of course those sort of people generally tend to STOP reading after they see the thing they want .... /e rolls eyes .. chances are SOMEONE will get the idea I19 is out in early Nov. anyway because they won't read down far enough to see the note. :-D -
I have several like this:
A Grav/Storm controller whose parents were air elementals that had taken human form. The grav powers are actually his command of air.
A dark/dark corrupter named The Hemo-Goblin whose powers are colored red to represent blood.
A character that is supposed to be ooze that takes humanoid form (like Clayface I guess) that uses teleportation to represent melting in one place and then quickly oozing and reforming somewhere else.
An Ill controller that is a spirit of vengeance where the pets Ill summons are the spirits of past victims of whomever she is fighting.
A Thugs MM that isn't a gang leader, instead he dominates the minds of people around them and controls them for his own purposes.
A Dark Armor brute where I colored the powers to look like smoke.
Several others as well. -
Put me in the camp of people who didn't know there was a way other than double clicking. I never noticed that manage option until this thread.

I had a tip mission where the object I had to destroy was invisible. I only found it because of the map marker so I think this is a bug.
-
I was thinking about this and I think that now with Side Switching, we may need more ways to differentiate the ATs so I wonder if more proliferation is such a good idea. They have been juggling the numbers to try to help make distinctions and I think having some sets that are exclusive for that AT may be a good idea.

I would be happy if all it did was make that enemy always appear in at least one of the options for Radio/Paper Missions. No bonus necessary and my character can always fight the enemy she hates (they know who they are!) when she wants.

Quote:Hope so. It would be great if they turned Boomtown into a destructible environment. Can't really do that with the rest of the city because it would be in ruins in minutes but Boomtown already looks like a messHere's hoping for a Boomtown revamp with an Apex Task Force! (And perhaps a revamp of the level range for Boomtown.)

Last night I had a Mob stuck in a wall in a defeat all that was the last mission in the arc. I gave up on the GM after 45 minutes. It was late I had to log out. In my past experience, they have been relatively quick and always helpful. last night was my first bad experience.

I can't argue with cold hard facts but I certainly seem to be missing more. Several times I have whiffed 5 times in a row, which I thought wasn't supposed to happen.
-
For me the biggest difference between the two is that with Brutes there is always high pressure to move on to the next Mob to keep my Fury bar high, whereas with Scrappers I can keep a more leisurely pace if I want.
-
I have had this happen with Tip and Radio/Paper missions. Hope that is fixed as well.

Quote:I agree with this. Especially with Brass since his arcs are the only way to get an O-Portal for villains "naturally". Levels 15 through 20 for Villains are way too crowded (especially since the temp power for the mayhem mission in that range is a must have).
If nothing else I wish they'd extend the level ranges a bit - make Vendetti, Heck and Bocor 6-15; put Themari and the other 10-15s up to 10-20; and extend Brass and the other 15-20s up to 15-25. This would also mean we're not forced to go to Sharkhead at level 20. -
Yesterday I did the Operative Wellman (?) mission with my Stalker where you break villains out of the Zig (the one that replicates the tutorial). In my past experience, if there were NPCs in a mission, they couldn't follow you if you had Hide on but somehow the three Villains and Jenkins were able to. Was this a recent change because I know at one time hostages and the like would lose you if you were hidden. If so this would be a great help for Stalkers.

Since I17 when they made Level 20 the trigger, I have seen that on every character that hit Level 20. I think it is just tied to the Level.
-
I have seen this on different servers and different characters: you select to investigate a Tip and read through the text windows. After selecting the morality you want and then the mission description you get a blank window. You close that window and nothing happens. The mission is not set. If you go through the steps again it works (usually, sometimes you have to do it a couple of times).
I thought it was just tips but yesterday it happened with a Radio mission as well. -
The music disappeared with Issue 17. They also removed the music when you pick powers when leveling. I miss it

Everyone talks about proliferating Illusion to Doms but it seems to me, with very little modification it could work as a Mastermind primary. Expand on the pets to make them more well rounded and make adjustments on the attacks. I think it could work and be more interesting than just a port over to Doms. Good idea?

I am not a marketeer by any means but is it my imagination or are people afraid to post recipes because we no longer have a history to draw from to figure out a fair price?
I know I am and it has been almost a week and there are almost no recipes being posted. Any thoughts from the pros?
