I think there is a button on the team window to turn on pets. I seem to remember it being in an obvious place that made me go "duh, if it was a snake..." after I asked on /help and got the answer.

So much of the existing costume pieces clip with all sorts of things - other costume pieces, power animations... even running, and everyone lives with it. I mean capes and trench coats are constantly going through my legs and I live with it.
"Because of clipping" seems like a pretty weak excuse.
*goes back to crying because he accidentally edited a bolero-with-wings costume* -
Love the stuff in the links, especially the asymetry. I SO wish we had asymetrical options, even if it was just allowing us to decorate shoulders and arms separately.

I don't want to run one solo but I'd like to run some of them with the usual 3-4 people I run around with and TF's only requiring 4 people are fairly rare. I'm all for removing the minimums and making them suggestions instead: "I really recommend a team of 8 and you only have 4. Are you sure you want to undertake this task" or something.

You AS'd the tank who ran away, indicating he wasn't interested, then proceeded to follow him around, performing more AS's every time he stood still for a second, interrupting whatever it was he *wanted* to do in the zone, and you are asking why he left?
I guess I'm not understanding the basis for the question. It seems self-answering to me and I'm a roleplayer.
Personally, I hate PvP too (experiences in other games, not COH) but the few times I've exchanged PvP blows in BB it was when the PvPer attacked a squishy-type I was teamed with and fled when I the tank/brute showed up to defend her. Other times I've encountered the "enemy" we stayed on opposite sides of the meteors eyeing each other nervously. Sort of funny but I appreciated them not automatically trying to attack me even when it was our 2 villains vs an entire SG of heroes.
[Edit] And to answer the question you posted while I was typingI haven't run yet from someone that punched someone around me (hasn't happened directly to me while I was alone yet so I can't vouch for what I'd do in that case)... but if I was that tank I'd leave because obviously it was going to be faster to travel back to the base than to wait fo you to kill me or vice versa LOL

Did you get the next one on time (1-2 months later) or did it start counting from that point on (3 months later)?
This happened to a friend of mine who had her account accidentally lapse (expired cc I think). She was only locked out of the game for a few hours before it got resolved but her veteran awards are now about 2 months behind mine. -
Quote:Except for ambushes which are pretty common.Well, if the map is cleared then the NPC ability to follow a stealthed person is moot, isn't it?
With my stalker I pick them up, turn off hide, and go on. As soon as I hear the ambush coming I activate my stealth. Even if the ambushes are personal, I turn it on anyway in case I get a chance to use placate. As soon as the fight is over I turn off hide and pick the hostage back up. It isn't like they run back to their spawn point so you aren't losing any ground.
None of my other characters have stealth so it was never an issue before. -
Quote:I wondered why my dark tank suddenly making noise. I kind of preferred her being quiet about itThe Taunt sound effect seems particularly prone to problems. For a while my dark melee tank made no sound at all when taunting. The animation played, but no sound at all. That got fixed a couple months ago.
I have a new female shield tank I played quite a bit on Saturday. I was mostly solo so I used taunt very rarely and can't comment on the OP. -
Yes, I and my partner were both trained to 30 during the last 2 newspaper missions. The Mayhem was level 30 (I got Talos and my partner got IP). We were about half-way to 31st by the time we got finished.
Both of us experienced the exact same problem. -
This has happened to me many times in Port Oakes but it just happened to me in Nerva and I'm pretty fed up with it.
Brokers seem to frequently give out contacts you've already out-leveled. Those contacts then refuse to pass you on to the next contact in the chain if they are part of a chain.
I turned 30, went to Nerva and ran enough newspapers to get a Mayhem (Talos). Aced the mayhem and ran to Winston the Gent expecting to get a selection of level 30-34 contacts and instead got only the level 25-29 contacts. I pick Darla who says she's been expecting me, offers her store, but no introduction to Psymon.
I'm very bummed that I'm going to have to go through all that all over again. This has to be a bug. Either the brokers should give you an active contact based on your level when you finish the mayhem OR the contacts should be more forthcoming with their introductions. -
We took him out with 11 people last night. Took us forever in Talos on Justice to get those 3 other people to join us. One of our blasters got bored and sniped him before we were fully ready and we didn't have any debuffs that I could see. He went down slowly but surely until he passed on and the portal present spawned.
Of course then the area became a mass of people trying to get in... the bums... wouldn't help take him down but they sure could show up and push their way to the front after the portal spawned.
Once we figured out the trick with the Guardians phasing the Winter Lord, the event in his realm became a snap. We ignored the northern lights and other spawns in the area until after the Lord was down. All in all, a fun event and we had a great time. -
Sounds excellent, I'll go try it as soon as I can.

I wonder if you can use a game card if you haven't gotten credit for the box yet for lack of a credit card. I know you can play the game using nothing but cards because I have a friend doing exactly that, I'm just not sure how he got it started to begin with.
I do think it is strange that you get a free month with the box but still have to provide a credit card to actually play the game. The last person I got into the game got around it by going down and buying a $20 VISA gift card and putting that in as the credit card. -
Thanks guys. I joined both Protector Watch and Vigilance today and it paid off when I got in on a Positron TF. By the end we were down to 3 but we still got it done in 2:02, definitely the fastest I've ever run it. Cool.
I also got in on a Jurassik hunt but that was a random invite afaik. Lots of fun to be had on Protector today. -
I like walk. I think the male walk is fine and I'm not sure what's effeminate about it. To me it looks very normal. The female walk does look like something out of a Victoria's Secret fashion show but I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
In the past when I was standing around talking and/or roleplaying, I would try my best not to move at all because if I did the character would jerk around like... well, no one moves like that in real life. It looked stupid to try and take a single step or two.
Now I can turn on Walk and every move is smooth and precise. I don't think Walk is meant to be used for much more than to slow things down and walk a couple of steps or possibly across a small room. So in the end it really doesn't matter much how it is animated. It's enough that we have a way to to slow down sometimes instead of always being City of ADHD. -
This would be strictly off the top of my head:
Fiery Aura: Fire Shield, Blazing Aura, Healing Flames, Consume, and Plasma Shield.
Fiery Melee: Scorch, Fire Sword, and Fire Sword Circle... I can't remember if she has a fourth or what it was.
She has the flight pool with air superiority and fly. She has the fight pool with boxing, tough, and weave. She doesn't use either of those toggles although I made her turn on tough during our test. She still needs to put a couple more slots in those for end red. Of course she has fitness.
She found 2 knockback recipes (the first around level 15 the lucky dog) and has those slotted which is why she went fly instead of jump.
Her problem before was that consume didn't recharge nearly fast enough but with 3 level 30 recharge common IO's that's as good as it's going to get. She didn't use her consume at all during our little test run so I don't think that'll be a problem in the future.
Maybe in the next few levels as we straighten out her enhancements the need for additional endurance mod will go away but I wanted to be ready for another solution if not and I wasn't familiar with those two (or any AP) powers which prompted the question.
Thanks for all the suggestions! -
Thanks. My wife has had problems with her fire/fire almost from the start. She has respeced 3 times getting to level 34. I don't normally duo with that character so I always hear about it after she's frustrated and ready to push the delete button.
Luckily she asked me to look over it and I found the problem immediately. She had made the mistake of focusing on IO set bonuses instead of the enhancements they provide and ended up gimping her Stamina power (as well as some of her armors). We replaced the entire set with end mods and power-raced through a scanner mission without any problem where before she was resting after every battle (heh, wrote "newspaper mission" to start with - can you tell which side I play more? lol).
Still, I expect she'll have more problems later since I saw she had missed Burn while at the same time complaining about getting immobilized. Together with Greater Fire Sword coming up I expect she'll need SOMETHING to help with endurance again soon so I was looking ahead. Both sound good... guess we'll see if she needs burst or continuous end control when she gets past 38. -
How good is conserve power and physical perfection?
I see Conserve lasts a "while" to decrease endurance usage. How long is a "while" and how long does it take to recharge?
Physical Perfection is an auto power so it's always on which sounds good but I don't know if the bonus to regen and recovery is enough to be worthwhile. How does it perform compared to say Health and Stamina?
Might a character (specifically thinking of my wife's fire/fire tanker) need both? If not both then which is better for endurance management? I'd rather recommend she take Focused Accuracy then PP because my experience is that accuracy helps more than anything to reduce endurance by allowing you to defeat faster. But I have no experience with the AP's so I'm not sure what these powers do outside of what the wiki says. -

Ah yes of course. Get someone else to take the pics. Makes sense. I can have my wife that can do that for me.

I should have seen that sticky. Sorry. Maybe rename it something so idiots like me will recognize it. Something like "Commissions here stupid!"
There are a lots of galleries to look over. I've been spending too much time today not doing my job
I have no idea how to get closeups any better than the waist-up view in the tailor screen. When I zoom in close the pc fades out. Not that her crime-fighting uniform is all that complicated.
I've never given any thought to what actress could play her part. She's such a study in contrasts as a party-girl-super-hero somewhat afraid of her own powers that she always stood alone in my mind without needing to put that sort of baggage on her.
I'll create a folder for her in my photobucket and start moving pics into it.
[Edit] Link to folder with the few pics I have of her.

I'm getting very close to 50 with my dark/dark tanker Shadowguardinal (avatar). I'd love to get a nice picture of her to put on my wall above my desk to celebrate my first 50. I can print it out, that's not a problem. I'd prefer a full-body portrait and action would be great but anything would be cool.
I have no idea where to even begin looking for an artist that's reliable so I'd like suggestions. Feel free to PM me if you prefer.
Thanks in advance! -
Perhaps you should try council or 5th in their standard groups in an AE arc and see what xp you get. I bet those are normal.
But I'm actually not surprised that a custom group made up of random members of various enemies gives fewer experience. I'd think you could exploit that pretty easily since most things are balanced as a group, not as individuals.
