Easy Question if you know how

Whilst watching some of the vids that you all do I have noticed that some trollers and doms have their pets displayed like a mm does. How the heck do you do it, the only time I did this was when I swapped from a mm to my crab, and I thought it must just be a bug.

Sorry if I am having a blonde moment, but just had to ask

You mean the pet window? There's an option in game to enable it. Somewhere. I can't look speficially right now, but I believe it's in with the other UI options.

It adds a new tab off the Team list which can then be detached.

Thanks, I'll check as soon as the servers come back up

It's extremely helpful for just about any pet users, and also useful if you have things like the combat pet, the workbench, etc.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Why would it matter for the workbench?

For me, at least. The friggin' workbench tends to move around if you travel. As a courtesy, I nuke it before I leave the CH. It takes up space and no one else can use it, while the real workbench is invisibly popping around the zone behind you. It's just annoying.

I'm sure there is a keystroke like /release_pets_all or something, but I just click-dismiss.

I think there is a button on the team window to turn on pets. I seem to remember it being in an obvious place that made me go "duh, if it was a snake..." after I asked on /help and got the answer.

It's a two-step process. First, you have to enable it in options, then you can click on team, then at the top of the team window will be "pets" that you click on.

Correct, unless you are on a MM, in which case as it is enabled by default.

You can enable it from Options > General Tab > Pets : at the top is "Show Pet Window Option".
Enable that and you can open the Pet Window by clicking on "Pets" on the outer edge of the Team Window.

My question is: why doesn't Carrion Creepers show up in the Pets window?

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

/optionset showpets 1$$show pet

or

/optiontoggle showpets$$toggle pet

I do the same exact thing, DB (but mostly because I'm a crotchety old man, and I just get pissed at people using my workbench without the courtesy of a "May I..." ), but note that others CAN use any portable workbench deployed -- in fact, that's sorta the point to it, being able to pop it out during a long TF or something, and have you and teammates craft up some stuff if desired.

Oh, I know--you just can't move more than a few paces. Otherwise you get the art, over here, and the function, over there. And that is infinitely more annoying than riffraff touching my table.

Ok, this is guesswork but here goes. When you cast Carrion Creepers the pet that you summon is called Carrion Creeper Patch is an invisible and untargetable pseudo-pet. These types of pets do not show up in the pet window (either as a hidden function of the ResistAll power they have or as soemthing hard coded somewhere). The Vines that then appear for Carrion Creeper (which are targetable) do not appear in your pet window because they are not summoned by you, they are instead summoned by the Carrion Creeper Patch.

Of course it could just as easily be the devs put some code in to stop them showing up since the sheer number makes the pets window unusually large.

That is correct.

It would be like asking how come my snowflakes don't show up in my pet window from my Freezing Rain patch?

Spectral Terror shows and you can't target it.

Yeah. I just checked. I guess I never bothered to before.
