For what it's worth, I kinda wish the female walk wasn't so exaggeately femine also. I don't walk that way in real life, and I don't know any other women that do either. But then, I'm hardly supermodel material.
But then, I don't plan on using the power, ever. I have places to be, gosh darners, and I'm gonna at least be sprinting to get where I've got to go!

This is my impression of Walk as well. I kinda like the Male version and wish it was an option for my female characters. I will never use the exagerated slinky walk animation - it hurts my own back & hips just watching it.
And "supermodel" isn't the phrase that pops into my mind when watching it, more like super streetwalker. Just a tip for any of you guys who missed it - Very few women walk like that unless trying to attract the attention of any male in the area - even in heels. Yes, we know it works, but we don't put that much effort into it if it's just a matter of getting from here to there without the need for attention.

I like walk. I think the male walk is fine and I'm not sure what's effeminate about it. To me it looks very normal. The female walk does look like something out of a Victoria's Secret fashion show but I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
In the past when I was standing around talking and/or roleplaying, I would try my best not to move at all because if I did the character would jerk around like... well, no one moves like that in real life. It looked stupid to try and take a single step or two.
Now I can turn on Walk and every move is smooth and precise. I don't think Walk is meant to be used for much more than to slow things down and walk a couple of steps or possibly across a small room. So in the end it really doesn't matter much how it is animated. It's enough that we have a way to to slow down sometimes instead of always being City of ADHD.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

I have some female characters who, according to their character backgrounds, would probably walk the way this new power makes them walk. On the other hand I have other female characters who (for various reasons) probably would not be caught dead walking the way this new power makes them walk. It's called roleplaying.
Now it might be cool if we could eventually have several modes of walking for each gender so that we could choose between more or less "suggestive" looking movements. But if that doesn't happen I'm not going to be too upset about it.
