    New question...

    I'm afraid to test it out myself. I did get an error when trying to buy the free badge twice. But now it's not on the list.

    Lots of things I have bought still are, like the first auction house slot increase. This worries me because I have no way to know which ones I still need/can buy. Hope they fix it so you can tell what you did buy.

    What happened?

    I'll also toss out:

    Look at the bottom of the forum for your server. In there will be a thread about teaming chat channels. You will want to join those. Lots of people have a hard time finding teams without them and having people to play with makes a world of difference.

    Also, welcome back!

    This is spectacular. Makes me wish I had a costume code. does it work with the halloween temp power costumes?

Similarly, we can give Regen defense debuff resistance, but that would affect the magnitude and not the duration in most cases because defense debuffs tend to be mag effects.

    Unfortunately, I am not aware of any way to arbitrarily point to a critter and say "all effects last for a shorter period of time on that thing." I don't even think the devs have a way to do that without the programmers adding in some very funky tech to make that happen.
    Probably an ugly, ugly way to do it, but could they bake into one of the powers the ability to take any incoming mez/debuff and generate an inverted value after a specific period of time and self apply? Like you get hit with -10% regen for 20seconds and this power gives you +10% regen for 10 seconds after 10 seconds.

    that's probably the "very funky tech" you were talking about though.

    Not all of mine have such builds but most. I even stock up on the PvP recipes to keep some handy bonuses like +hp and +damage down low.

    I've been experimenting with the -kb set bonus from fury of the gladiator, but sadly one application isn't enough. Fortunately, other than the -res and the quad most pieces of the set are about the same price as cleaving blow (ie dirt cheap, but still up from a few issues back when they were down at multistrike prices)

    I even have power bar #7 on all my bulids set aside for temp power attacks and lowbie attacks for when I do exemp

    So now you've met two.

    No great loss, really.
    But that at least makes sense. The plot for the hunt is to travel through all the city zones to power the crystal. If galaxy is gone there would be no reason to stop there.
  9. My biggest complaint with the commando was the AI. But it's not an easy fix. the idiot loves to open with Knock attacks, then start using non-knock AoE on lone enemies. So he's scatter a perfect group, then flamethrower one guy. If he'd just invert those two attacks his performance would be so much more impressive.
  10. How is lich for the Damage/Mez and Acc/Mez hamios?

    I love the acc/mez in my dark servant.
  11. I have gotten very fond of the storm elementals. Even the 10-minute support tier 3 is reasonably survivable, deals good damage and the hurricane is pretty handy.

    they don't fit for every character I have, but where they fit I am quite pleased with them.

    The clocks I have on one character and they deal pretty decent AoE and since they are 100% ranged they survive.

    I'll agree with the Overseer as the dumbest lore pet. Though I haven't tested them all it is hard to believe there's a worse one out there.
  12. Super Strength. On all ATs with any possible pairing. Made, played and deleted 7 including getting into the 40s twice. Loathe the set. the animations, the slow powers and most of all rage mechanics and the -damage.

    Regeneration. I have one. Never again. The set itself is fine, I just don't have the reflexes to benefit from it's strengths.

    I did the redside one last night only got 20 not 22 merits. Not 2 and 20. Just 20.

    The odd thing is that it worked this way for at least three other people who reported the bug. My guess is it has something to do with the Capital "R". But totally a guess and I've never gotten any official response to requests for help except an automated "your petition has been received" email (out of game, not in-game email) with no actual content in it.

    Aggie pretty much gave you the list but here:

    Yes it works:
    * Crafted Invention Origin Enhancement - Common or Set

    No it does not work:
    * Proc IO
    * Global IO
    * Training Origin Enhancement
    * Dual Origin enhancement
    * Single Origin Enhancement
    * Titan Origin Enhancement
    * Hamidon Origin Enhancement
    * Going Rogue Bonus Enhancements

    Special Note: The Luck of the Gambler Global Defense/+7.5% recharge is special in that an Enhancement Booster will boost the Defense portion as any Set IO, but not the Recharge Portion (as it is a global power).

    Is anything missing?
  16. I thought it was "there is no overkill only kill or don't kill". =) But the concept is bang on.

    I can say that I have a fire armor with 7 points of -kb from 1 IO and 3 pieces of fury of the glad set. Definitely not enough. I spend a lot of time on the ground and it's not just Fake Nems.

    Seconded.

    And I do understand some people don't always have friends, but the option to meet a new friend is always there.
  18. The short answer is you really want both because they do totally diferent things and both are good.

    Power Build Up makes all (well most) of your secondary effects significantly stronger. so a defence buff goes way beyond ED limits, heals get bigger, -tohit gets stronger, etc.

    Soul Drain is like the scrapper/brute/tank build up. It gives you a damage bonus to your attacks. If you have enough enemies in melee range it gives a very high bonus, but it is risky since it is a PBAoE.

    If you have to pick one, then decide if you need more damage or stronger buffs/debuffs.

    Does this only impact AE or does it hit freaks out in the rest of the game?

    Quick question:

    When you do RP, can you give a bit of the background etc, like is the group all time travelers? Are we talking an arcane organization, a Dr who-like tech based group, a group without a defined arcane/tech background like Oroboros, etc? You got a stated mission, or primary foe, or story? who are y'all and what're you doing messing with time?

    For you maybe. I have crap reflexes and for me that's not only what I want, it's what I need. I have one regen and will never make another until they pull the clicks out of it. /WP for me going forward every time. I'm glad both exist because it means both of us can play how we want.

    Imo, all defensive sets should have clicks and cooldowns to be used strategically and at times.
    I'd rather have a mix. Some with some without.

    [uqote]I even have a bit of a problem with how Mastermind pets function. They should be made a lot more survivable (All of them) but on the flip side they should be changed from "Fancy DOTs with unique graphics" to partial DOTs with abilities the user can directly interact with to attack with. IE, imagine if a pet had a stun, the pet would never use it on its own unless the user clicked the power.[/quote]Again, I'd rather be the other way round. I had to stop playing RTS games because of this tendency in the industry to expect players to micromanage every power of dozens of troops in multiple locations.

    Personally, I'd like the training powers to become toggles rather than clicks and to hit the summon at the moment of summoning. then make the T1 and T2 pets weaker with half the cooldown on the resummon and the T3 pet stronger. Be that archetypal villain who tries to bury your enemies in a mountain of dead minions with one dangerous henchman.

    but we're off on a tangent. Anyway, I'm glad there are options and I hope they remain with different sets having different feel and playstyles.

    Except in some weird cases. For example, I am @gavinruneblade. However I cannot email to myself at that address I have to use @gavin runeblade or the item is immediately reclaimed. All my global friends use @gavinruneblade.

    I've contemplated using my one free global rename to go with something else, but not sure that I won't end up with the same problem. And I have no idea how this particular bug kicked in but there were multiple threads about it a few issues back in the tech support channel, so I know I'm not the only one with the problem.

    In game petitions have been utterly useless in trying to resolve the issue also.

    Hmm, I know it's slow, but I never had a problem moving forward with it. I get your point about it not being as good as flight. That's true.

    Cons:
    1. Very endurance heavy while leveling especially if you run Time's Juncture. Invention IOs @ 50 help significantly. But, even then, if you aren't careful you can be running down near empty due to the spamming of your secondaries.

    2. Inherent need to keep your pets close enough to benefit from all 3 of your major AoE heals/buffs. You being in melee with them helps a lot. But, you will find yourself hitting the "follow" command to keep them from running too far off. You may want to select something from your Epic set that can immobilize mobs and prevent your pets from chasing too much. That being said, if you get in the habit of firing off your "big 3" as often as you can, even the ninjas that chase the mobs live a lot longer.

    3. Stuns/Holds/Sleeps are your worst enemy. Breaking up your "system" of cycling your powers tends to hurt the most. Clarion is probably your best friend. Until you get clarion, just make a habit of carrying Break Free inspirations with you (or make friends with someone willing to keep Clear Mind on you!).

    Pros:
    Well, here is what I have seen to be the best "method" of engaging mobs of any size...

    1. Apply any buffs you can prior to combat.
    2. Toss out Distortion Field into the mob. If it is up also use Slowed Response.
    3. Run into the mob with your pets (make sure to have Time's Juncture going).
    4. Drop your Time Crawl on anything problematic and/or hold them.
    5. Watch as the mobs crumble. Use/Reuse your buffs/debuffs regularly.

    Long story short, I am able to solo most things on x8 settings. I soloed the entire Mender arc on that setting. Trapdoor wasn't even a threat. The double-EB fight was very active but manageable.

    As soon as mids is updated, I could post my build. I'm sure it could be tweaked but currently the build rocks.
    Please post the build long-form not just the data *****, some of us are on Macs and can't use mids.

    I took incinerate, it is very high damage. open with it so the dot has time to work.

    Slot Char for damage and it makes an awesome opener against a single target.

    I'm still on the fence about combust. I hear that if you use herotracker it ends up being a massive source of damage. But it looks weak when I use it. Still, things die so I guess it's working hehe.
