  1. Lvl 30 blaster willing to exemp down and join you.

    (I like badges)
  2. Don't assume that you shouldn't take your melee powers.

Don't slot training enhancements - sell them. They're pretty much useless and you'll need the money later on.

Skip Rain of Fire and Flares.

Take Stamina, Hasten, and maybe Aid Self.

Don't believe the lies - Defiance is useless and trying to use it will get you killed.

    Enjoy.
  3. Power customisation is coming soooon...
  4. My blapper has superspeed AND superjump, on top of hurdle and swift. I slot the passives over the toggles. It works brilliantly.

Plus it gives me access to hasten, whirlwind, combat jumping, acrobatics, and stamina.

    How to...

    [ QUOTE ]
But a blaster kites, runs ab it, hits a bolt or two, runs a bit more.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not a /nrg blaster. He kills them all with his melee attacks before they have tie to react.

Any AT can be built to solo in PvP and hunt whatever builds are paper to its scissors.

    Solo PvP Sonic defender, anyone?

Hmmm, for that matter, are there any sonic defenders out there at all?

If you have a +2 SO at lvl 38 , that SO , will be "exemp" to lvl 27 when your in BB !

    [/ QUOTE ]

While at the same time no change to the effectiveness of the SO, a +2 SO is a +2 SO no matter the level

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep, it's important to understand that an enhancement's bonus isn't worked out by its level, its worked out by its level relative to your level.

Enhancements shouldn't exemp. An exemplared lvl 50 should be more powerful than a sidekicked level 22. And I, when, I respec, don't pay attention to the order I put the enhancements in - why would I?

    Sonic sets

My thoughts on my sonic/elec defender:

Overall I enjoy the set, the downside is that he is completely impossible to solo with. If you want to concentrate on taking your secondaries for a corrupter, you will need a team as Sonic has few powers that you can use on yourself.

There are some awesome powers in there, disruption field being a personal favourite. Sonic siphon just gives me something to do other than my feeble blasting when the team is buffed up and fighting. I skipped sonic cage, as it's a sleep and my secondary has a hold (elec). The shields are awesome, however some people still say that the FX make them nauseous. Clarity is also useful.

Of course, these are my thoughts for the defender. I think you need to make the decision, whether you're going to be a damage dealing class or a support class. Sonic resonance is much for suited to the latter than the former.

    DM/SR Build

    [ QUOTE ]
Don't bother with Shadow Punch, its awful.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Many power sets start off with a 'low damage, high recharge' and 'mid damage, mid recharge' power... The low damage one is often [censored]. Flares from fire blast is one example.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
    Yea there would

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Insightful post there, thanks.

But anyway, how long does SW take to fully heal back what it can heal?
  11. So Blaster's inherent is a damage buff to be used as a last resort, i.e, its risky, whereas Scrapper's and controller's inherents are damage buffs that actually mitigate risk? Spot the problem?
  12. Been meaning to do this for ages. Here's my lvl 50 build for my Fire/Energy Blaster. He's level 27 atm, I just got me a respec and I want to make him pretty PvP oriented.

I've decided to drop Fire Ball bcause I realise I don't really use it that much anyway.

A problem I can see is that I won't have Aid Self in Siren's Call. I also found my self with a lot of slots where I didn't know where to put them.

Also, please pay no attention to the levels which I put the slots in at.

    Suggestions? Advice? Flames?
  13. ToHit = Accuracy - Defense.

    Say I have 60% base accuracy against 20% defense. ToHit = 40%. If my accuracy is buffed by 20%, ToHit = 80 - 20 = 60%. If my ToHit is buffed by 20%, ToHit = 60 - 20 + 20 ... 60%. An accuracy buff and a ToHit buff are the same thing.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Against normal mobs, like you say, it's roughly equivalent to 3 acc SO. Against mobs with defense or that use tohit debuffs it's even better.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    That doesn't make sense.
  15. If you're an /nrg blaster, take bonesmasher and energy punch. Slot them. Use them. Love them. You're not a ranged AT, you're a damage AT.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
close PvP zones to anyone over level 40 until the cap is raised for villains.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Hah. As if.
  17. The bar fills up as you take damage, and degenerates on a timer.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
    Let defenders buff/debuff/heal]

    Moving on...
  19. [ QUOTE ]
    Let defenders heal when needed

  20. DM/SR.

    I use him for scrapping.
  21. Flamebreather

    Blapping

It says a lot about the AT's design when the 'high damage, no defense but stays at range' character can forego his ranged attacks entirely and do more damage in melee with little loss to survivabilty.

    Fire/Eng FTW!
  22. So where can I get my hands on the s4 demos?
  23. Don't take Flares... that is all.
  24. Flamebreather

    Blaster respec

    PvE or PvP?

Dont know anything about /fire but I can tell you that from your primary you want every power except Flares and Rain of Fire, then I'd suggest the Speed, Fitness, and medicine pools.
  25. What kind of recharge and runspeed bonuses do I get from quickness? Because I've heard that it's not worth taking.
