From what I gather Lost Girl is on it's 2nd season in Canada. It's simply another inexpensive filler series, like Merlin, that they wedge in between their repeats of Ghost Hunters and their library of cheap fantasy/horror/disaster movies.
Oh and I enjoyed Chloe King. Sadly teen girls didn't. Guess not enough hot guys and/or high school/relationship drama. -
Monday night had the tweaked pilot and 2nd episode of the new JJ Abrams series Alcatraz on Fox.
Like many attempts to capture the mystery of Lost that came before, this series is at least made by Bad Robot and has good ol' Jorge "Hurley" Garcia in it.
Basic premise is that the closure of Alcatraz was a coverup when one night two guards arriving for their night shift found the whole island empty of people, prisoner and guard alike. Now nearly some 50 years later, they are reappearing, unaged, seeking revenge as well as being on missions for whomever took them.
I know two episodes is not enough to judge a "high concept" series but what do you think the chances that a "high concept" serial series would survive on Fox? Or will it be another one season wonder like Flashforward, Journeyman and The Event or will it survive a few seasons like Fringe? -
By the time costume sets show up in test it's pretty much a done deal. All they are concern about is unexpected clipping, selection, coloring issues and not what parts are available for what body type.
Changes may come later but in the time frame between test and live, no. -
That and the piggs are 95+% of the game from a MB perspective.

They did change the physics engine to the updated API so nVidia PhysX finally works with the game. However it seems that the changes they did to use the updated API, from the pre-1.0 version of PhysX they had been using, wasn't as straightforward as whoever they assigned the change to thought it was.

I think he means to resemble Dot's mono-boob look versus the naked dipped in liquid latex look (or having "breast" pockets, one for each). Basically the fabric should span between them than form fitting around them. I would include pictures but it's late.

Capes, trenchcoats and other back items are bugged. Only way to change them is to use the "link all" in the color selecting and set them first and then unlink the colors to set the rest. This bug has been around for quite a while now (think it goes back to the introduction of trenchcoats).

So SyFy has a new series dealing with Fae/Faery/Sidhe. Turns out it's a Canadian series from 2010.
Main character is Bo who doesn't know she's one (turns out she's a succubus). She does know she's something since she keeps killing lovers which causes her to skip town and change identities.
One night she ends up saving a young street urchin/pick pocket who got roofied (Bo was bar tending) which made the local seelie/unseelie courts aware of her and now insist want her to choose a side.
Okay first episode. Don't get all excited about the nudity warning (butt cleavage and side boob with carefully positioned long hair). But there is a fight scene in a warehouse that's straight out of CoH. It was a case of "hey I know that room".
I guess it evolves into a PI series like Dresden was. -
- CPU - Fine
- Memory - Fine
- PSU - Fine
- HD - Fine (still twice as much as pre-flood prices)
- Case - Fine (not a fan of doors in front of my optical drive)
- CPU Cooler - Fine
- Das Blinken Fans - Meh (Damn it Jim, it's a computer not a night light
). Adding a top fan is probably a good idea, not sure how much additional cooling a 2nd fan on the CPU cooler will give you.
- Monitor - No opinion.
- Video Card - Fine. The performance gain from a GTX 570 to a GTX 580 isn't worth the money in my opinion (roughly 15% more performance for $160).
The Z68/SRT/SSD Vs dedicated SSD debate.
The 60GB SSD is fine for SRT. Yes having an SSD be a real drive instead of a caching device will give you better performance but this way you will never be in a situation where you have to decide to uninstall one game or app from your SSD because you want to install something new onto it.
I like the idea of SRT and I'm disappointed that SSD reviews of small sized SSDs don't include a review of SRT performance with the rest of their benchmarks.
The "problem" with SRT is finding a long term review of it. Nearly all the reviews of it are a very minor part of the general Z68 chipset review where they simply ran an app/game or three plus booting to show the feature in action using Intel's tiny 20GB SSD on a mini SATA card. What is it like after six months of use? -
I remember one period of time when the fog broke and DA was bright and sunny. Ignoring the cemetery, the rest of the zone reminded me of a mix of Steel buildings with KR's streets and bridges with a hints of old Atlas.

Bye Z. Running out of people who've seen British SciFi series before we do and can tell us if it's worth the time to watch them.

these were shown at CES this year.

Honestly my first thought was Dark Astoria is being invaded by the Zerg.

Tier 1 (1 token) 25 Million cap
Tier 2 (2 tokens) 500 Million cap
Tier 3 (5 tokens) 1 Billion cap
Tier 4 (8 tokens) 2 Billion cap (max)
So the answer to your question is no, you are not stuck at a 25 million influence cap if that account has 27 tokens. -
Using an SSD for backup is like using a sports car to haul dry wall from Home Despot (intentional misspelling). Normally the idea is to use a slower, cheaper per GB device/medium for backup purposes, not a faster more expensive one.
I find external USB hard drives to be quite affordable and while internal OEM hard drive prices have gone berserk due to the Thailand flooding. Also the retail channel prices for internal drives hasn't been affected as much as the OEM market drives you find at NewEgg or TigerDirect.
As for external USB hard drives the 1.5TB WD My Book Essential with both USB 2 and USB 3 interface is $140 at Best Buy. Still less than 10 cents a GB. The 2TB is on sale for $150 and 3TB for $200. This assumes when you say backup drive you really mean backup drive and not just an excuse to slip the purchase of an SSD by someone that you could repurpose later as a boot drive. -
Well since Disney owns Marvel it makes sense. Just like Cartoon Network is going to focus on DC since they are both own by Time Warner.

When I started playing back during Issue 1 with my RL friends on Victory, I rolled five characters, one for each AT and Father Xmas was my tank. The other four have been left behind, in their high teens or low 20s for years now.
The Forgotten:
Agent Kei - Scrapper MA/SR - Kei from Dirty Pair knockoff.
Dark Umbra - D3 (Dark/Dark Defender) - Resembles The Shadow.
Doc Hawking - Controller Gravity/FF - Resembles Onion parody piece about Stephen Hawking in a power suit.
Doc Einstein - Blaster Energy/Energy - Guess who he looks like, but with glowing eyes and he Teleports.
Within a year most of my friends moved on to other games and I caught altitius and ended up playing other power combos on other servers. -
And then there's Sister Flame with her personal one off of her character made by Super Oz.

Quote:MegaTokyo is best read once a year. This last year or so I'll grant him a waver due to his wife's illness. Family comes first.I wish MT was on anything resembling an actual update schedule rather than the VGCatz schedule. That DPD has been up for almost a month now.
Bear Nuts Comic. Pretty funny story about a group of bears inna zoo. -
This article has the most straightforward explanation of what was done.

Cases are a lot better nowadays, maybe the really cheap ones will draw blood still but for me it's usually a pricked finger or scraped knuckle on the backside of a expansion card.
As for heat pipe tower coolers my first experience was with a Scythe Ninja almost 10 years ago and quickly discovered it was aptly named (cools the CPU and can make beautiful scallop potatoes just that quick). I now use cotton work gloves when I position that style of heat sink. -
Original 1964-1965 Jonny Quest. 26 episodes, jazz opening, super science, VTOL aircraft, jet packs, etc. The best Hanna-Barbera series of all time.
