Not exactly Air Treks from Air Gear but...
They look like miniature Segways that you strap onto each of your feet.
Almost makes you wonder why they didn't come up with these until now.

I think they're a pretty dumb idea. With regular roller skates or roller blades, you have control of your speed along with flexibility in your stance for balance and maneuvers. With these things, you might as well ride a Segway like Lothic mentioned. There certainly won't be any health benefits to using them except negative ones like for falling damage.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
They're a neat idea but semi-useless. They only have enough battery life to go 2 or 3 miles.
If you're going to do something like this you might as well get yourself some rollerskates/blades and save some electricity.

So they go 10k/h and travel 3km before dying... so they work for 20 mins and then need to be recharged for 3 hours...
so
3.3 hours = 3km on these
or i could walk at an average speed which is 5k/h over the same 3 hours and go 17km
The only time i could see these being useful is if you're real lazy and can't afford any other vehicle so you get these for short walks between home and somewhere your going to stay for quite a while...like school
So these are roller skates with a motor. Mm k. Skip it, get me my damn hoverboard!
these were shown at CES this year.
